Cough cough cough
Albion lay on his back embedded deep in a pit of snow. The fall had knocked the wind out of him, his ribs were somehow still intact though. Despite the fall he just experienced. He managed to slow his descent at the last possible moment.
Even though he was left heaving on the floor, gasping for air like a fish out of water, he had to admit that he was pretty creative.
He deserved a pat on the shoulder for that one honestly. If only the journal cared enough.
Albion staggered to his feet and look around the deep cave. Ice hung from the steep walls surrounding him, light poured in from the opening far above him his head, and reflected as far down as he stood.
In front of him though…there stood a dark tunnel entrance, and it seemed to be the only way out except back the way he had come. He just had to push onward it seemed.
It was far too dark to make out where he was going, so he just placed his hand on the far right wall and began to walk. His ring glowed dimly in the dark of the tunnel, lighting his way as best it could. If the room went on for too long the ring might completely un out of energy.

Fortunately, that never happened.
The tunnel went on for a long while, but it continued in a straight line.
It had started out fairly small. The tunnel had been thin enough that he could nearly touch both sides if he left his arms outstretched. As Albion marched on, though, the walls grew farther and farther apart. Tapering into what seemed to be a large cavern hidden deep beneath the snow drift. He held his ring up, it still had enough energy to emit a faint glow, but he didn’t need much. All he needed was an idea of where he should head. As long as he had direction he would get out of there eventually.
The faint glow radiated through the room, spreading further and further from Albion. The original glow of his ring was replaced by a brighter light that shimmered in this expansive cavity deep within the land.
Prana crystals.
There were a few of them, scattered through the cavern embedded deep in the walls.
The crystals gave Albion hope, he wouldn’t have to walk for eternity through these caves. Instead, he just had to collect enough to escape.
‘Ring, send some crystals to storage. Take use the rest for energy.’
Albion pressed his ring to the surface of each crystal one by one, taking any the ring didn’t need for future use.
When the ring had absorbed the last crystal, the room fell into darkness once again.
‘Let’s get out of here.’
