In a flash of light, I am pulled away from the black sand of my home. I drop on a hard floor as magic circles around me and beyond the magic I see several individuals around me. The tallest of them steps forward and pulls out a stick with a ball at the end filled with imp essence. I surge against the magic around me and it pushes back on me. The creature with the imp essence falls back onto the floor and moves away from me as I smash against the magic over again. Eventually, the magic is destroyed as I feel a tether link me to the center of where the magic was but ignore the feeling as the creature runs into a hole in the walls I manage to grab their foot and pull the thing into me.
The thing thrashed and swung the stick down on me and a fire started to spread across me. I thrashed and grabbed the stick throwing it away. I pulled the flames into me and tried to snuff them out while pulling the thing deeper into me. The thing tries to push me away as I eat its leg and its hands are stuck inside of me. The thing squirmed even more as its hand dissolved slowly into blood, meat, and bones. The other things here rush out another hole in the wall but a few circle around me and try to reach for the stick. I charge against the thing I am eating banging its head against the floor making it stop thrashing before charging the one grabbing the stick.
I managed to snag the thing’s hand in me dissolving it slowly as I swung it around at the other stuff until it snapped and the thing was thrown against the wall as its arm was ripped off. The other things ran leaving the one with a half-dissolved leg and hands and the other I just threw. Another is left near the center of the room but it feels barely alive as it just stays on the ground barely moving. I ignore them all and move toward the stick as it is the only threat to me here. I pull the stick inside of me feeling the burning essence trying to taste so similar to those spiders. With it in me while it hurts it can’t damage me anymore as I turn to the things in the room.

The one I threw has stopped moving lying in its blood, human. Images of memories flash through my mind of metal men, a warning. I don’t have long so I slither across the floor to the other human that is trying to crawl away into the hole with their elbows. The human is too slow and I slither up its still good leg eating the meat up to the knee severing it. It thrashed and tried to crawl away faster but I took my time to avoid it bleeding out, fear makes the meat taste better. More memories that are not mine flash through me as images of people begging and being torn apart bring me joy. Sadly I only have this one here so I’ll make sure to take my time with it. I reach above its hips and burrow into its back. The human convulses and sadly stills shortly after I eat a few chunks of meat as I make space for myself inside of its body. I only managed to put half of myself inside of it.
It died so I took a few more pieces of meat and slithered out of it. I dragged it toward the center of the room before doing the same to the other human. I leave the stick between the dead humans and crawl over to the still-moving one that hasn’t moved. I noticed it was very different from the humans that had died. More memories flash and I see an army of imps. At the front of the army is a creature that exudes power hidden under small overlapping plates. The thing in front of me was not that demon but I could see the similarities. I slithered over to it and it barely moved as I slithered down its throat and took my time eating it.
The thing died soon after but I took my time eating its flesh when I reached those plates they were far harder to eat so I just pulled them inside of me. I hear the sound of shuffling so I pull as much as I can of the 3 bodies and the stick into me. I yank on the magic tethered to me and in another flash of light I return to the black sand. “Come to me.” I hear an echo out from the main pool and drag all that I have to it.
