The icy winds howled across the endless expanse of Rodentia, a barren, frozen wasteland stretching as far as the eye could see. Yet, in the midst of this chilling desolation, a magnificent being soared gracefully through the sky—a divine Ice Phoenix with gleaming white and blue feathers that shimmered like polished ice beneath the dim glow of the frozen stars. Upon her back, nestled deep within her feathery warmth, lay her master—the one and only Arfrotian, the enigmatic ruler of the Icy Omniverse.
And he was fast asleep.
A Master’s Peculiar Habit
As Glacialix continued gliding smoothly through the cold air, her mind was screaming internally. The embarrassment, the confusion, the sheer absurdity of the situation—she had no words.
"He actually did it. He actually named my back..."
Glacialix exhaled, her mind struggling to comprehend the reality she was in. A person naming another's back? Who even does that?!
She muttered under her breath, "Master, you always do this..."
And yet, despite her initial frustration, there was warmth—not just from his physical presence against her feathers but from something deeper within her heart. She could feel his slow, rhythmic breathing, the slight weight of his presence, and somehow, it felt... nice.
She sighed again, this time softer, more content.
"At the least, Master... you do enjoy being with me, right?"
The Past and the Present
Her mind wandered as she glided through the endless sky, recalling the events that led to this moment.
"Master... Who could’ve thought that the once mysterious intruder of Dementia, an entity so unreadable and enigmatic, would now be my master?"
When she had first encountered him, he was an unknown force, a cold and calculating strategist who rarely let his emotions slip. And yet, here he was now—sleeping soundly on her back, as if it were the softest and safest place in the entire omniverse.
She shook her head in disbelief, but at the same time, a small smile crept onto her beak. He had changed.
Or perhaps, he had always been this way, and she was only now seeing it.
The Name That Will Haunt Her Forever
Just as she was lost in thought, a cursed realization hit her like a lightning bolt.
"Wait a second."
Glacialix’s face—if it could be seen in her phoenix form—would have turned red in an instant.
"I just remembered... that ridiculous name he gave my back!"
She mentally cringed as the words echoed in her mind:
"HEAVENLY LOVE BED."
"...WHAT KIND OF NAME EVEN IS THAT?!"
She almost spiraled midair from the sheer secondhand embarrassment. Her own Master, a terrifying and cold ruler, had looked at her feathery back and decided that it wasn’t just comfortable—it was a whole divine-grade luxury bed?!

She muttered in disbelief, "Master... you’re absolutely ridiculous..."
And yet, deep inside, she felt something strange—something warm, something she wasn’t entirely ready to acknowledge.
A Purpose Given, A Bond Forged
As her thoughts drifted further, she remembered his words, the ones that had changed her fate forever:
"From now on, YOUR SOLE PURPOSE IS ME. AS LONG AS I LIVE, STAY BY MY SIDE AS MY ICE QUEEN."
That day, those words had shaken her to her core.
All her life, she had been a guardian, a lone protector of the Eternal Frostheart, bound by an endless cycle of duty and solitude, which unfortunately, was all a false illusion of executing control on her. She had existed for eternity, but for what? What true purpose did she have when this duty had been nothing but n illusion?
But then, he had arrived—an enigmatic entity who had defied the Eternal Frostheart itself, conquered its wrath, and claimed it as his own.
He had chosen her.
For the first time, she wasn’t just a guardian. She wasn’t just an ice phoenix, an entity meant to uphold an eternal duty.
She was his Ice Queen.
She sighed once more, this time with pure happiness.
"Oh, Master... Thinking back now, I don’t think my life was ever useless. Because in the end, I finally found my true purpose—staying by your side, for all of time."
Her heart, once frozen in an eternity of solitude, had now found warmth.
The Search for the Battle Begins
Shaking her thoughts away, she focused on the task at hand. They had finally reached Rodentia, the vast, frozen megaverse where the angels and shadow elves waged their fierce battle.
But there was one problem.
Where were they?
Rodentia was massive, a frozen wasteland spanning an almost incomprehensible distance. Finding the exact location of the battle would be like searching for a single ice crystal in an endless snowstorm.
She groaned, "Well, we did get to Rodentia, but in this vast megaverse, where exactly could I find the battle between the shadow elves and the angels...? This is going to be a headache..."
And then, she realized something.
"Wait... Didn’t Master tell me to wake him up once we reached Rodentia?"
She turned her head slightly, looking back at her sleeping Master, still sunken into the depths of her feathery back.
"...Well, saying that is one thing... But actually doing it is another."
The Deep Sleep of an Ice Ruler
Glacialix realized a major issue.
Arfrotian had sunken so deeply into her feathers that you couldn’t even see him anymore.
At this point, it looked like she was flying alone, with nothing on her back.
"Master... just how deep did you go in?!"
She sighed and attempted to wake him up.
"Master, it’s time... We’ve reached Rodentia..."
No response.
She tried again, louder this time.
"Master, wake up! We need to move! Master wake up, the outsider may come any moment—"
Still nothing.
And then, she finally snapped.
"MASTER!!!!!!!"
Her voice echoed through the frozen sky, strong enough to shatter icebergs—
But even then...
He. Did. Not. Budge.
Instead, Arfrotian mumbled sleepily, his voice barely audible:
"Mmm... Don’t wake me up... Let me enjoy this softness and tenderness of my bed..."
...
Glacialix’s entire mind shut down.
Internal Malfunction: Ice Phoenix Edition
"WHAT. DO. YOU. MEAN. BY. ENJOY?!?!"
Her brain completely short-circuited. THIS MAN. THIS ABSOLUTELY SHAMELESS MAN.
She screeched internally, her body heating up so much that her ice flames flared uncontrollably.
"Master, you can’t just say that so casually!!!"
But even as she yelled, he was already back to sleeping.
Glacialix huffed, utterly defeated.
And yet...
Despite her frustration, despite the embarrassment, she didn’t actually want to wake him up.
Because, deep down, she liked this moment.
She liked the fact that he was so at ease around her.
She liked the fact that, in this vast omniverse, he had chosen to rest upon her back.
And so, despite everything, she smiled.
"Fine... Sleep well, Master. But just know, when you wake up, I am NEVER letting you live this down."
With that, she continued flying, searching for the battlefield—before the real battle began.
