Chapter 34: Return!
"It can't be... No! NO! NO! NOOOOOOooo!"
Ken's boat had departed from the isnd when loud shouts and yells drowned it.
The scientist who had finally come to know the outcome of his army couldn't accept the result and shed tears of blood upon knowing that years of effort had been lost down the drain with no gains obtained.
In his pride and confidence, he didn't check on the outcome, sure that the Devil Lucifer wouldn't fail to bring back Ken.
Based on the difficulty the tter had in defeating the 33rd, it was obvious that he wouldn't have ever been able to beat the Devil, but Ken was too much of a monster.
"The calcutions shouldn't have been wrong, so how?" The scientist couldn't understand as he looked at the wriggling device that he had thrown in his rage.
Now that this happened, he will have a hard time reconstructing it and watching the isnd like before.
But this mattered not.
"I have to get out. I have to flee. I can't stay here with that rat escaping; if they know that I'm here, they won't let me off." He said as he started frantically moving, looking for a way out.
Then he stopped, looked up, and shouted.
"GAPPA!" The second his voice reached the top, the rge monster whose fat occupied the room vibrated.
"GAAOOOOO!" The entire isnd shook as the scientist smiled.
The four monsters who were stationed all around the isnd were also his own creation, but not only his own. These were masterpieces made by the joint effort of his once prosperous organization, of which he was the sole survivor.
Though they were his own idea, he could have never been able to successfully finish them without the help of each and every single member.
Now, he had full control over them, and with their help, he could be a fearsome existence in this world, feared by all and wanted on the same level as those monstrous existences like the Yonko.
They were his cream of the crop, second only to the masterpiece he was on the verge of making, but now the fruit of his efforts had gone down the drain. He will have to start again, but at least it wouldn't be from the start.
"Just you wait, little rat; I will not forget this. If I were to see you again, I will capture you, torture you, and use your flesh to feed my children." His eyes were focused and had a glint of evil in them as he imagined doing what he just said to Ken.
His arms were raised up to his chest and clenched as if he were holding Ken's very fate between them.
His mind, which was full of experiences and knowledge regarding the human body, was already structuring a dedicated pn to torture the young man.
Such a level of evil... only a heartless psycho like this scientist could reach where human life was like a pything, and if he were to really want to cause harm to a person...
Ken felt his whole body flench as he was just about to jump on his bed to get some much-needed rest.
He looked back at the direction of the isnd and sighed.
"This truly was a dangerous trip, but extremely worthwhile." He had to admit.
If he hadn't come here, he would still be on the level of a small pirate captain, but now... he could probably stand on the same level as Luffy on the first episode... probably.
That young man's physical strength was monstrous at first; Ken really wasn't sure he could defend against a single of his strikes, and as a sword user, he felt ashamed to even compare himself to Zoro.
While Zoro will have quite a few styles then, he had barely been able to form a single one after bringing the essence of a single strike, able to ssh multiple times in a rge zone, and the sshes themselves were strong enough to make the enemy feel as if they were never-ending.
Thinking about it, he had yet to give it a name.
"Thousand sshes? Nah."
"Myriad Sshes? Hmm... This ain't a cultivation world."
"Infinite Sshes? Not to that level."
Ken put himself to bed and looked at the ceiling while thinking of multiple names.
This style that was born today would have its name decided on another.
-----End-----
