As everyone got on the airship I looked around with mild interest. The deck alone has to be at least big enough to fit over a thousand people. The floor seemed to be made from some sort of light colored stone. There are patterns engraved in it as well using some sort of dark metallic material. There was a massive symbol engraved in the middle of the deck. It looked like a woman with wings that surrounded a sword.

  “ The symbol is said to be of the savior of Duke Harmon’s family 4903 years ago. “

  I looked to my side where the voice came from. It was a girl with black hair tied into a ponytail. She had bright purple eyes which contrasted her indifferent face. She had on a dark red skirt, a black shirt, and a dark red jacket over it. She had on black leggings as well. My heart skipped a beat but I tried not to let it bother me.

  “ Savior? She has wings so is she a demon beast? “

  “ She is, although it’s said she was a Phoenix. A mythical race that hasn’t been seen in over 3000 years. They say she was strong enough to even stand against our Empire single handedly. I’m not sure if that’s true but it’s one reason Duke Harmon’s family was able to rise from a Viscount to a Duke within 800 years.

  She apparently favored their Ancestor, the family head at the time, and married him. Due to her it’s said he was able to rise from a 3rd class Master Mage to a 2nd class Grandmaster in 300 years. “

  Seemingly disinterested in the conversation she turned around and started walking away. I didn’t follow her but I stared at her for a couple seconds before sighing. I looked at the symbol for a bit before turning around. A lot more people were on the deck now making it seem somewhat crowded. I didn’t mind being around others but I did feel a bit out of place.

  I walked over to the backside of the airship and entered a room. There were more people in here but not as many. I saw 2 pairs of doors with carvings in them and a map which laid on the side of both of them. I looked at the map and saw that ,other than the deck, there were 6 other floors. 3 contained rooms, 1 was for eating, 1 contained many different things, and the other was for training.

  Since I had nothing better to do I decided to go check out the rooms. I looked to the side and saw some stairs so I started walking down them. I didn’t exactly know what room was mine, which was a bit of a problem. I simply decided to figure that out once I got to the third floor. With that said the interior was a bit different from the exterior.

  For one, there was carpet, there were also lights which looked like high quality wall lamps. Everything looked like it was made from some sort of dark wood which was rather popular in buildings. All in all everything had a comforting feel to it.

  I made my way down the stairs and glanced at the floors as I passed them. The second floor was where the miscellaneous stuff was. The floor was bigger than I expected as it was as high as a 3 story building. The floor was split into two floors which confused me a bit but I wasn’t the one who designed it.

  The third floor was where you could go to eat and hang out. The floor was massive. It had different styled small restaurants all over alongside seats and tables. There were a small number of people with most being staff. I was tempted to go around and see what they had but I didn’t. I did have plans to go around later though as I descended the stairs.

  I soon reached the third floor where there was basically no one. There was a giant hole in the middle of the place surrounded by a glass railing. Looking down I could see the other 2 floors which contained rooms. I looked around and saw a couple ladies sitting at a desk. I walked over to them and cleared my throat. I thought about the words I would say before I even got to them. They stared at me as I walked up to them.

  “ Do you know where I can find out what room is mine? “

  I said the words clearly and precisely with no mishaps. I was a bit nervous but I doubted they could tell. One of them smiled.

  “ We can get that information for you. What’s your name? First and last. “

  She pulled out some sort of crystal as she asked.

  “ Ejaer Dasos. “

  “ That’s a unique name. Do you know where you come from? Also please place your hand on the crystal. “

  I placed my hand on the crystal as she asked. I felt a slightly warm sensation come from the crystal.

  “ My parents are from the Kyros Empire. “

  She smiled as she took the crystal away.

  “ That’s pretty far from here. I heard it’s very cold over there and that it snows all year round. “

  I nodded.

  “ I was there until I turned 2. I can remember a bit about it but not much. We moved because the beasts were getting more violent. “

  “ I heard. It’s said the Ice Spirit King is reincarnating making everyone restless over there. Your room is 4587 on the fourth floor. There’s stairs on the hall to the right. I hope to see you again later. “

  “ Thank you. “

  I looked behind me and saw some more kids coming over. I walked around for a bit before finding the stairs. I walked down them until I got to the fourth floor. The halls were long and empty. I walked down the hall reading out the numbers as I eventually found room 4587. I didn’t have a key or anything to open it though.

  I put my hand on the handle and tried to open it and it opened. The lack of security was alarming so I tried the other rooms. Turns out I couldn’t open the doors to the other rooms. I was a bit more relieved as I entered my own room.
