Greetings.
A long time ago, I created this series based on the idea: what would happen if humanity were summoned to another grimdark world to be used as cannon fodder in a war of extreme proportions? Then the hiatus came. I promised to come back. But it was impossible to do anything good with the previous base (so I made a different roll), because the story failed to deliver on the promise of the synopsis. This could not be accepted.
Time passed, and then... I finally managed to write what I wanted. I don't know if there are people here still waiting, but it's coming. There's only one problem. I've written a book of about 600 pages, and I'm not sure whether to wait and publish it later here with more content, or deliver it here, even if it means slower releases. (Which wouldn't necessarily be stupid)
I'd like to hear the survivors' opinions.
Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings.
Here's the new synopsis of Soul's War : Apocalypse
To be transported to a world of gods and magic. To become a [hero], wield a sword or sorcery, level up to to overcome human limits, and never have to fear death again... or almost. Who wouldn't love it? It would sound like a dream too good to be true!
...At least, that's what many believed.
Despite our best efforts, it took just a few decades for the billions of mankind, thrown into an absurd war as mere resuscitatable cannon fodder, to meet near extinction. In a desperate act, the last survivors struggled to cross the floors of a labyrinth housing a temporal artifact, hoping to send a hero back to the beginning of the war. Last report: workforce eliminated. Object: mission in progress. Status: sole survivor.
I was there.
How far can humanity be pushed? And how many will remain to celebrate “victory”? There's only one way to find out. I’m sure everything will go well.
Otherwise, I'm also writing to relax my mind (a novel called The Loop Hero, Very easy and quick to write in comparison), which I'll probably publish on RR on the side. I'm not quite sure what to do yet (for now).
