Chapter 11 A Generous Gift of Thanks

When the two werewolves landed, they needed to first adapt to the even dimmer light in the cellar.

However, Rudolph got to the girl's side one step ahead and examined her first.

It turned out that the girl was truly unconscious.

A smile appeared on Rudolph's face. Since she was unconscious, things would be easier...

The two werewolves stood side by side in the cellar, occupying the entire width of the cellar.

After they briefly adapted, they immediately rushed towards Rudolph.

Just as they were halfway through their charge, they saw Rudolph stand up. Rudolph reached his hand backward, and an unexpected situation occurred.

The dead werewolf on the ground suddenly transformed back into a werewolf from its human form.

The "resurrected" werewolf pounced fiercely at the lower bodies of the two werewolves.

The space in the cellar was cramped. A werewolf lying across the ground was enough to prevent the two werewolves from advancing even an inch.

  "A living corpse! It's a living corpse!"

One of the werewolves was obviously more knowledgeable and immediately understood what was happening.

The werewolf that had just died suddenly came back to life and then attacked its companion. Clearly, it was being controlled by a living corpse.

The werewolf controlled by the teeth of the living corpse had great strength. It bit one werewolf's leg and also used its hind limbs to entangle the other werewolf.

This was the first time Rudolph had used a wizard's tool.

There was also a certain amount of star power stored in his body. As a wizard apprentice, the amount of star power he could store was very small.

As the dead werewolf came back to life, the teeth of the living corpse were extracting his star power. Rudolph felt an itchy and sour sensation in his wisdom tooth area, as if something was flowing into the teeth of the living corpse.

  Three seconds...

In just three seconds, Rudolph felt the pain.

His star power was running out.

The corpse that had just transformed into a werewolf was already showing a tendency to change back into a human form.

  Rudolph quickly fired his gun.

In the narrow cellar, Rudolph used five shots to kill the two werewolves in front of him.

With a wizard's tool, it was just that convenient.

There was a bullet hole on the heads of the two werewolves in front of him. The burning effect of the alchemic bullet made the area around the bullet hole emit a flickering red light.

Soon, the three werewolves that were entangled with each other died completely.

Rudolph's star power had been exhausted, and a sense of weakness welled up from the depths of his body. He felt that he had lost his combat ability, except for the last bullet.

At this moment, the moonlight and starlight at the entrance of the cellar exuded a certain allure, making Rudolph long for it desperately.

He forgot about the girl's long legs and even forgot to breathe. At this moment, there was only starlight in his eyes.

He stepped over the three entangled werewolves and rushed towards the entrance of the cellar.

When Rudolph looked up and saw the starlight, he breathed in greedily.

The star power began to coalesce again in Rudolph's body. This was the source of a star wizard's power. His rapid breathing gradually returned to calm.

During the time at the entrance of the cellar, Rudolph didn't hear the sound of the battle outside.

Just as Rudolph was about to go out, he suddenly remembered something.

He almost forgot that there was still a girl deep in the cellar.

Now that there was no pressure of life and death, Rudolph suddenly remembered that he had seen that girl before, in the farm owner's family photo. The girl was the youngest child in the family.

However, the girl was several years older than in the photo.

Rudolph came to the girl's side. She was still lying on the ground.

Rudolph started rummaging around in the cellar to see if there was anything that could cover the girl's body.

Fortunately, Rudolph found a large hemp sack.

He helped the girl up and then put her into the sack.

Movies were all lies. When a monster's transformation ends, there are no clothes on its body.

He carried the sack on his back. The girl was lighter than he had expected.

He came to the entrance of the cellar and waited there for a while.

There was indeed no sound at all from above. Rudolph could even hear the chirping of unknown insects.

The battle with the werewolves was intense but also ended quickly.

Rudolph first climbed up, sticking his head out to observe the situation in the house.

At this moment, the two-story house was completely silent. He didn't dare to confirm who had won at all.

What if the werewolves had won?

Rudolph suddenly thought of the teeth of the living corpse. A wizard should have a wizard's way.

He mobilized the star power that he had just coalesced to search for fresh corpses.

Even though he couldn't see the situation inside the house, Rudolph could sense the corpses around him.

Outside the house, on the way charging towards the house, four werewolf corpses were lying horizontally. The traps set by Sheriff Claude and the druids had killed a total of four charging werewolves.

  On the first floor...

There were two druid corpses. Poor druids. Even the experienced middle-aged druid was now dead.

In addition, there were nine werewolf corpses.

  On the second floor...

Rudolph raised his eyebrows in excitement. The corpse of a second-level werewolf! Besides, there were also the corpses of several first-level werewolves.

The teeth of the living corpse were really a wonderful thing, giving Rudolph the initiative.

There was no corpse of Sheriff Claude on the second floor, and there was no sound of fighting now, which proved that Sheriff Claude had already taken control of the situation.

As the most powerful figure on the surface in Lemon Town, the sheriff's combat power was still astonishing!

Rudolph quickly climbed up and then rushed into the house.

The corpses were scattered chaotically on the first floor. Rudolph stepped over them one by one with great peace of mind because he knew that these werewolves were completely dead.

On the second floor, Rudolph saw those dead werewolves and also saw the weak sheriff. There was one second-level werewolf and two first-level werewolves.

Sheriff Claude heard the sound of footsteps and knew that it wasn't a werewolf coming up. The footsteps of a werewolf and a human were very different.

Beside Sheriff Claude, there was still one living werewolf.

Three copper alchemic daggers were inserted into the back of this werewolf. The daggers were constantly burning the werewolf's flesh and blood. The werewolf couldn't die, but it also couldn't move.

With just a glance at this werewolf, Rudolph knew that it was the sacrifice left by Sheriff Claude. This werewolf was enough to satisfy the red priest of the town. The sheriff was really amazing. He still had the strength to deal with the sacrifice at this time.

When he saw Rudolph, the sheriff also heaved a sigh of relief.

"Rudolph, I didn't expect you kid to survive again. Listen to me, you still have a lot of things to do." Sheriff Claude's hand was pressed on his shoulder, which was covered in blood:

"I was bitten by a werewolf, and I've been poisoned by werewolf venom..."

Rudolph was stunned for a moment. Then, with a sorrowful expression on his face, he pulled out his gun. Unexpectedly, he was going to use the last bullet in such a situation:

  "Sheriff! I understand!

To prevent you from causing a greater disaster after becoming a werewolf!

For the sake of Lemon Town!

I'll shoot you in the head to prevent you, Sheriff, from having a glorious life but ending up as a werewolf in the end!"

"A big 'thank you'!" Sheriff Claude cursed and then said:

"An apostle won't turn into a werewolf if bitten by a werewolf!

Only an ordinary person will turn into a werewolf if bitten by a werewolf!

You really should enrich your barren mind!

  Put down your gun quickly!"

Rudolph was startled. He had really been prepared to shoot a purifying bullet at the sheriff. He knew too little about this world and almost messed things up.

"I'm so sorry! Sheriff, I'll go back and systematically study the knowledge about apostles."

"You'd better study it. I'm really begging you to study it!"

Sheriff Claude felt a lingering fear. He didn't die at the hands of the werewolves but almost died at the hands of this stupid kid. It seemed that this kid had really been convinced by his set of great, bright, and just reasons.

"Rudolph, I can't hold on much longer. The werewolf venom will make me unconscious for a while. Next, you have to do as I say!"
