Chapter 10 A Test for Men

When Rudolph dashed out of the window, three werewolves jumped out of the window one after another.

The werewolves' physical strength was far superior to Rudolph's. Therefore, they effortlessly leaped over Rudolph in the air and blocked his escape route.

The werewolves stared at Rudolph and saw his hand pushing against the shards of glass on the ground.

Rudolph wasn't afraid of the glass shards. Instead, when he had just landed, the sound of his landing was unusual. The place where he landed was hollow.

  This might be a cellar!

Before the werewolves pounced on him, Rudolph finally managed to touch the handle of the cellar.

He pulled open the cellar cover and quickly crawled in.

Werewolves were agile. In an outdoor environment or when he was surrounded, Rudolph had no chance of defeating the werewolves.

Only in a narrow space could his revolver play its role.

The cellar cover he had pulled open was torn into pieces by a werewolf's claw.

The werewolf's claws were much more powerful than Rudolph had imagined.

At the critical moment, Rudolph successfully fell into the cellar.

This night, he had been falling all the time. First, he fell from the second floor, and now he had fallen from the ground into the cellar.

In the darkness, Rudolph took out the revolver's magazine and, groping in the dark, used a loader to load bullets into the revolver.

The sound of the empty cartridges hitting the ground was very clear and echoed in the cellar.

The cellar wasn't large. He only needed five steps to reach the end of the cellar.

Leaning against the damp and cold wall of the cellar, Rudolph panted heavily.

The werewolves hadn't entered yet. Rudolph guessed that they were also hesitant.

Rudolph had alchemic bullets, and the werewolves were afraid of death.

The moonlight shone directly into the cellar through the entrance. As the time in the darkness increased, Rudolph's eyes gradually adapted to the darkness.

A chill came from his throat!

In the dimness, a dagger was pressed against Rudolph's throat.

Rudolph had been concentrating on the entrance of the cellar and didn't notice that there was someone beside him at all!

"Slow down! It's cold! The knife is too cold!" Rudolph could even feel the vibration of his throat and the friction with the dagger as he spoke:

"There are werewolves outside! Have you ever seen a werewolf? The kind that's really terrifying and can bite people to death!"

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the one holding the dagger was a girl with her hair flowing down.

Upon hearing the word "werewolf", the dagger moved at least three millimeters away from Rudolph's throat.

Rudolph knew he had said the right thing. Only when there was a common danger could he stay away from this inexplicable accidental situation.

"Werewolves are all terrifying beasts. With one bite, they can crush anyone's head. They also have sharp claws. With one swipe, they can shatter anyone's leg bone.

  Werewolves are all damned beasts..."

Rudolph was stunned for a moment. He really wanted to take back what he had just said because the little girl beside him suddenly began to transform.

Her hair turned into a wolf's mane, her facial features protruded forward and turned into a wolf's appearance, and her slender limbs instantly became as hard as sickles.

Unlike the werewolves Rudolph had seen before, the werewolf beside him seemed to have white fur.

  A white wolf?

The dagger fell to the ground. However, the cellar was narrow, and the hot air exhaled from the white wolf's nostrils and mouth almost blew onto Rudolph's face.

"I didn't describe it accurately. I apologize to you. Not all werewolves are bad. I think the white wolf is quite nice. Look at your fur color..."

The more Rudolph explained, the more embarrassed he felt. It was one thing to have a person hiding in the cellar, but how could there be a werewolf hiding here too?

Just then, a werewolf jumped down from the entrance of the cellar.

The white wolf turned its head and completely ignored Rudolph.

What kind of a howl was that... The white wolf's howl was extremely shrill and ear-piercing.

In an instant, the two werewolves pounced on each other.

The white werewolf's body was still small, almost the same size as an ordinary wild wolf.

This white wolf was just a wolf servant and hadn't reached the level of a first-level werewolf.

Just like Rudolph was only a wizard apprentice now and not a first-level wizard, its ability was very weak.

And the first-level werewolf opposite was clearly a size larger.

A wolf servant against a first-level werewolf, the gap between the two was extremely obvious.

The situation was easy to judge. The enemy of one's enemy was one's friend. Since the white wolf targeted the werewolf, helping the white wolf was equivalent to helping himself.

However, the battle between the white wolf and the first-level werewolf was extremely fierce, and the cellar was too narrow. Rudolph simply couldn't find a suitable opportunity.

The power gap between the two sides was also very large. The first-level werewolf slapped the white wolf against the side wall with one claw and then opened its mouth to bite the white wolf's throat.

Blood gushed out from the white wolf's throat, and Rudolph even heard a sound similar to flowing water.

Even so, the white wolf stretched out its limbs and firmly hugged the first-level werewolf in front of it.

Rudolph's gunshot rang out at the right moment. An alchemic bullet pierced through the head of the first-level werewolf.

A terrifying wound appeared on the werewolf's head.

The place where the bullet passed emitted a burning red light.

The werewolf howled in pain and finally opened its huge bloody mouth that had been biting the white wolf's neck.

And the white wolf, as if it had gone crazy, bit back at the first-level werewolf's throat.

  Rudolph witnessed a strange scene...

The white wolf was sucking the blood from the first-level werewolf's throat. As the blood entered the white wolf's throat, it seemed to expand the white wolf's body.

The white wolf's entire body was expanding, its bones were growing, its muscles were bulging, and its body was getting larger and larger.

The white wolf was evolving from a wolf servant into a first-level werewolf.

The promotion of a werewolf was just so simple and unadorned.

Bite off the throat of a higher-level werewolf and drink up its blood, and one could achieve a level promotion.

The whimpering sound from the first-level werewolf's mouth became smaller and smaller, and soon it died.

And at this moment, the white wolf had grown to the height of a person.

Rudolph saw that the wound on the white wolf's throat was healing rapidly. This was the apostolic ability of a werewolf.

It was unclear whether it was due to the promotion or the previous injury, but the white wolf's body was swaying.

She staggered to the end of the cellar. It seemed that leaning against the wall at the end made her feel more secure. She slowly lay down at Rudolph's feet.

Her white fur shrank, and her body shape gradually changed back to that of a girl.

This little girl might be one or two years younger than Rudolph.

  Movies were all lies.

Really, wasn't this a test for Rudolph...

Which man could withstand such a test?

Another werewolf jumped into the cellar, startling Rudolph.

Rudolph thought that he had to deal with this werewolf as soon as possible. Otherwise, what if the werewolf girl, lying on the ground naked, caught a cold?

Just as Rudolph raised his gun, he saw another werewolf jump into the cellar.

This was really a nuisance... Big brother was very busy right now. Why were they so insensitive?
