This story takes place after The Modron Mutiny, and is about characters from that story. I wanted to go into more detail on what happened after Black Scarf recovered, since him waking up in crazy town/Automata seemed sort of like a bad ending. A part of this story was brought to life by a D&D game I ran. Black Scarf and the ensuing fight were what I planned to happen, but as anyone who runs D&D knows, plans change depending on the player’s actions. When I ran this game, one of the players shifted the story into chaos in a really funny way, which is elaborated on in this story (the sorcerer at the bar.) In the D&D game, most of this fight was avoided due to what the sorcerer did. While that worked for the players, looking back on it, I thought what was originally planned would be a good story and epilogue for Black Scarf.
