Level/EXP Statistics and Cultivation

This chapter is a brief description of the cultivation and a longer description of the leveling system used within the novel.

There is also a lot of statistics in the last portion of this page involving the leveling system.

To understand some of this, you would have to have already read through a bit of my story.

This chapter is as much for me as it is for you. It is helpfull for me to keep track of everything, and it could answer some questions for you if you have them.

I will update this page as I continue my story.

Cultivation is the nurturing of the soul and mana of the cultivator through the World Energy within the natural world.

Meanwhile, EXP is a very small amount of lifeforce that is used to nurture the body of the cultivator.

In order for a cultivator to move along the Path of the World, they must do both.

The body must be nurtured to hold the more powerful soul of a higher Tier, meanwhile, the soul must be nurtured to contain the mana and lifeforce of the more powerful body of a higher Tier.

These are the Tiers of cultivation in this book.

  Tier 1 – Commoner – LVL 0-9

  Tier 2 – Low Knight – LVL 10-19

  Tier 3 – Mid Knight – LVL 20-29

  Tier 4 – High Knight – LVL 30-39

  Tier 5 – Lord/Lady – LVL 40-49

  Tier 6 – Prince/Princess – LVL 50-59

  Tier 7 – King/Queen – LVL 60-69

  Tier 8 – Emperor/Empress – LVL 70-79

  Tier 9 - Demigod/Demigoddess – LVL 80-89

  Tier 10 – God/Goddess – LVL 90-99

  Unknown Tier – LVL 100

For a non-dungeon entity to gain EXP, they have to kill dungeon monsters. They are not able to get EXP if they kill someone who was not created by a dungeon.

In order to reach one Tier of cultivation, the person must be in that Tier in both Cultivation Level, and EXP Level. If they are only in that Tier with one of those, then that one is locked at that level until they reach it in the other.

For example, someone is level 9 in Cultivation Level, but level 10 in EXP Level. They can't level up anymore in EXP until they reach level 10 in Cultivation. They are considered a Half-Step Low Knight.

Also, remember, the levels/EXP in this book are meant to be difficult. The monsters will increase in level faster than the intruders as the intruders climb the floors of the dungeon, not to mention the higher number of monsters than intruders.

I tried to set it up so that the intruders will have to rerun through the floors a large amount of times to level up after the first couple of Tiers.

The higher the Tier, the harder it is to level up, and the stronger the opponents.

At this point and beyond, you might not understand everything said if you haven't read the first dozen or so chapters of the novel.

The amount of EXP a being naturally gives is corresponding with their Tier. Tier 1 gives 1 EXP, Tier 2 gives 2, etc...

The amount of mana-infused monsters on each floor is matched with the floor's number and their Tier. First floor = 1 mana-infused monster. Second floor = 2 mana-infused monsters ect...

Mana-Infused monsters give 1 EXP regardless of EXP cap every run as well as the monsters original EXP until the cap is reached

EX: Before an intruder reaches EXP cap for that floor, they get 2 EXP from killing the boss, but they get 1 EXP after reaching the EXP cap.

Mini Bosses give 3 EXP every run regardless of EXP cap as well as the monsters original EXP until the cap is reached

Bosses give 5 EXP every run regardless of EXP cap as well as the monsters original EXP until the cap is reached

The first number to the right of the floors is the total amount of EXP an intruder can obtain within one run of the ten floors including the mini bosses, bosses, and mana infused monsters.

The second number to the right of the floors is the total amount of EXP an intruder will obtain throughout the dungeon to the end of that tier in one run, including the previous floors, but not including any other runs aside from the first run of each floor.

The third number to the right of the floors is the amount of EXP an intruder can obtain each run after the first run if they kill all of the mini bosses, bosses, and mana infused monsters up to that point in each run.

These two numbers explained above is mostly to help me with calculations to find what is most balanced. They are also not perfect, and do contain errors. This is mostly just an estimate.

I changed it so that the cap is in effect for every dungeon, and not just the one they cleared the dungeon for. This will make it so that if someone reaches the EXP cap in the first floor of Fenrir's dungeon, for example, then they will also be capped for every other dungeon's first floor. This is due to there being too many possible ways for someone to abuse it and just go through every dungeon they can find and get access to just to clear the lower floors.

Tier 1 EXP cap: 60 EXP per floor (floors 1-10) (744)(744)(89)

Tier 2 EXP cap: 100 EXP per floor (floors 11-20) (1499)(2243)(278)

Tier 3 EXP cap: 140 EXP per floor (floors 21-30) (2454)(4697)(576)

Tier 4 EXP cap: 180 EXP per floor (floors 31-40) (3609)(8306)(956)

Tier 5 EXP cap: 220 EXP per floor (floors 41-50) (4964)(13270)(1309)

Tier 6 EXP cap: 260 EXP per floor (floors 51-60) (6519)(19789)(1898)

Tier 7 EXP cap: 300 EXP per floor (floors 61-70) (8274)(28063)(2587)

Tier 8 EXP cap: 340 EXP per floor (floors 71-80) (10229)(38292)(3376)

Tier 9 EXP cap: 380 EXP per floor (floors 81-90) (12384)(50676)(4265)

Tier 10 EXP cap: 420 EXP per floor (floors 91-100) (14739)(65415)(5254)
