Boredom

The great being Kuta finds himself bored as of late. It is not much for him to do but simply lay in his mountain lair and wait for the next millennial meeting.

Should Kuta go scour the mountains for any changes that may have occurred during his last decade-long slumber?

After a quick flight around, it seems like there's nothing going on that requires his attention. Each of the range protectors has pretty much remained the same as they have for as long as he has set them up.

Each mountain's guardians have been blessed/buffed by Kuta himself after all and live with his name, who would dare to transgress against them let alone him?

With no real action in tow, he returns to his lair, a cave on one of the numerous mountains contemplating how to combat this boredom he currently faces.

Get stronger? No, he is already at the peak of his current strength and capabilities. Find things to play games with. Unlikely, their reverence for him would stifle them and not allow for good competition.

Kuta comes to his decision! He'll find someone to tell him of all the humanoids he has raised over the years and any other stories that could be interesting! Yes, this is the best action.

Now, where would Kuta find someone to tell him tales of time? One place that came to mind was the town of Northland along the northern coast of the Eastern Continent. It's about three days away by carriage from the Bexmore mountain range, but obviously not an issue for Kuta. A mere few minutes of flight, and Kuta will be there.

Kuta flies through the air, the wind rushing by his scales as he glides down to the ground. He lands in front of the small entrance at the front of a town and takes a moment to look at some of the structures.

It looks like the buildings were constructed from single large stones that were carved into a semi-circle shape and then had the top cut off. This allowed for the roof to be supported by two pillars and a half-circle arch, this was a common building for the Lizardfolk.

  (Lizard Folk Perspective)

A normal day in the town when out of nowhere a massive dot in the distance began slowly growing in size heading seemingly headed for their town. Kuta the Dragon God of the Bexmore Mountain Range landed in front of the village and for a while just looked at their town.

In awe yet nervous the entire town that felt his landing came to see what was going on, upon seeing Kuta many began to bow and pray to Kuta.

As a group, they say - "All Hail Kuta! Origin of myth and legends. Fighter of the malignant! Thank you for your presence!"

One seemingly the leader - "Have you come to call upon us to fight in a holy war against those set on destruction."

The Grand Kuta still says nothing and remains still as a statue.

Kuta feels slightly ashamed at having forgotten just what he represented for all those currently living in the world.

After a brief silence, he connects to the lizardfolk telepathically - "Fret not Lizardfolk for I not here to rally a force against the malignant ones. I merely seek someone to tell me about the world as of late. The world is large and though I am powerful, information can spread faster than I could move across the world, and not much makes it to my cave abode."

Believing he has made up a suitable excuse he eagerly anticipates someone to jump at the task to tell him stories, but instead, the presumed leader again takes up the mantle to convey the words of the town - "Oh great Kuta it seems you are looking for an information guild or potential bard, sadly our remote town doesn't really have too much on the information front either. Though even here we know that a war has broken out between the mighty Zerx and Kuth empires."

Kuta replies in mind - "Zerx and Kuth? Who are they? How long have they been around? Those empires' names sound like the names of Zerx and Kuth that I raised some two hundred years ago. "

Thinking to itself. Did those two really leave and make empires? I wonder how they are doing if they are even still around. Zerx that little elf should still be alive for a few more centuries, and Kuth the little dwarf should still have a good century in him.

Kuta once again telepathically asks - "Where are these two empires?"

The leader Lizardfolk - "Great Kuta one of them should be a few months travel west of here, and the other should be just past it."

Without another thought, Kuta launches into the shaking earth and speeds westward.

He breaks the sound barrier a few times and arrives within only a few hours and sees a few mountains covered with buildings the entire ranges cutting off the rest of the world with large stone walls.

Flying higher Kuta sees further westward giant trees some likely even taller than his own standing height.

Between these two areas, after enhancing his vision he sees two armies each numbering a few ten thousand facing each other without any actual fighting occurring.
