Sampros closed the manuscript and rubbed his eyes. He believed it was enough to go on. A lifeless rogue planet at the edge of the known universe was too much of a coincidence. “Day: two-hundred and twenty-seven. Time: 0400- sunrise, Galactic Center Time. Location, on approach to rogue planet.”
“Thank you, Kai. Let me know when we’re in orbit, please. I want to see the scans myself.”
“Of course.”
The first scans showed only a single structure on the surface—a tall, slender pyramid.
He goes down to the surface and finds a young guy with hair a very similar shade of blue as his own, sitting in front of the entrance. With no atmosphere, he has to be dead. Sampros reaches out to touch him.
Savros opens his eyes and gazes up at a young guy with blue hair similar to his own.
