Mana Bullet has ridiculous range. Luther could hide in bushes and snipe goblins from 8 metres away. He still had to manually Which sucked. he almost died a couple times because he was too exposed.
42 goblins later and he was almost Level 5. he was so close he could taste it. "Gonna be a mage?? Gonna be a mage?? Gonna be a frikkin mage??!"
He was interupted by a fireball missing his face. Snarling from behind makes him freeze. He slowly turns to sneak a peek at his atacker. it was a goblin with a big walking stick and a tooth neckalce. The only problem was that it was small, like a child.
He didn't have time to think of the implications of killing a child. Even if it was a goblin child. "Totally not feeling nauseous. Nope."
"Well, That sucks. but helps with the epic quest."
"Y'know," Luther mumbled to no one. "Not a bad dent for two hours. Gotta eat now though." He didn't notice another pop-up as he signed off for dinner.
Logging on and off was a surreal experience itself. It was like falling alseep and waking up in a lucid dream. Knowing it's fake, but having control of all your falcuties and doing whatever the hell you want.
He was greeted by the smell of pizza as he left his room. A large man was already eating a slice. "Howdy kiddo!" Alex Announced after swallowing, "To celebrate getting your nose and ass out of those books and starting your grand adventure, I bought pizza!"
Alexander Blackstone was a large, towering, musclar man. He had to be, with all the excersize he gets from just working in construction.
"That book was Amazing by the way! Capital A!" He sated as Luther sat down and they both took a slice. "It gave me the ability to create my own pseudo-guild type thing. Being an an 'Alpha Warrior' means I can make my own pack. Sounds cool, right? Blackstone Pack. Cool gang name, at least." Taking another bite, "How di u eben fin id?"
He was always chipper and boisterous. Luther can't tell anymore if his father's nature is genuine or not after his mother died...
"My starting village is abandoned, so im able to loot it without repercussions. You are using a skill left behind by the long lost GuildMaster of Kokiri Village."
*Cough Cough Cough* Alex choked on his pizza. "DId you just say 'Kokiri'? Please tell me you didn't!" he looked paniced for a second.
"What's up? The place isn't that bad... just surrounded by goblins." Luther was confused. He thought it was a decent place to grind. The goblins are pretty much a small fry. "I got an epic quest to deal with them all."
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
"You need to abandon that place and Run Luther! Capital R! A whole bunch of people have tried it and failed! Not only are are all four Goblin villages led by Shamans. But they work Together at night! Capital T! They are coordinated!"
That...that was bad, wasn't it? "I plan on being a mage, so shouldn't that help a bit?"
"No kiddo. I was there, I watched 5 months ago when the Shamans sacrificed their own Chieftains to the Blood Moon. They are elite! two star threats! You gotta get out of there ASAP!"
Luther understood what his father was saying, he really did. But, he was so behind everyone else, he needed the boost. So, he just nodded and went back to his pizza, lost in thought.
After dinner, he went to the forum and searched 'Mana training'. Pretty straight-forward in his opinion, he was surprised when he found a community of mages and Martial Artists on the eastern server cooperating so well. There's usually this rivalry because of the New Years East V. West competition.
'A mage's mana training is both similar and different to a Martial Artist's Qi training. They are both similar in the fact that their pools can be trained in different patterns to produce different results, leading to different elemental class boons and limitations. The difference being, a Martial Artist requires this pattern be ingrained into the body. Mages dont have that requirement. This leads to Mages having weaker frames, but gaining the ability to 'cast' the energy out of their person sooner and faster. A Martial Artist must be attuned to their bodies to a certain degree in order to be able to expell their energy completely.
A primary distinction is that in order for a Mage to advance to the next stage; One must create a new, completly separate mana pool. Stabilize it. And then make it work in tandem with the previous Mana pool.
Martial Artists, after gaining a certain amount, condense the purest of their Mana into the center of their pattern. And continue to make the center purer and denser as they advance.
However, these training patterns are compatible in both Mages and Martial Artists.'
A thought popped into his head. He got a First Achievment when he made a Mana pool before becoming a Mage. What happens if he makes a Circuit Pattern before advancing? He hasn't gained any Mana from leveling up. Would he get more if he does this? 30 is a nice, round, even, stable number.
There were a lot of patterns to start from. some as simple as a square and some as concerning as a 20-pointed star. The person who make that Sun-Eating Technique is insane. The fact that their profile says that they are at peak Gold Core using that technique scared Luther immensely.
Instead of going to bed, he went in the pod. He set up his spot in the GuildMaster's office and sat down legs crossed.
While he was looking at all of those patterns, he noticed something odd. How come there wasn't a circle? A simple ring? So that was what he was going to do.
Looking inward, he stood infront of the Shimmering blue Mana pool. he lifted his arms and the pool started to spin into a whirlpool. It spun faster and faster until he could see through it. He moved his left hand and the pool flattened out, making a spinning doughnut.
The doughnut slowly widened as the ring thinned. Luther almost lost concentration as the ring glowed and got wider than he planned. He slowed the ring to a stop and marveled at his work for a bit. He let out a big smile and opened is eyes.

"YES!!!! I'm Level 5! I can Change classes now!" He quickly pulls the Job Change Crystal out of his inventory and hits Yes immediately skipping over the obligatory question.
"Well, what do we have here?" He could choose between all of the Mage Classes. When choosing a class, a number is displayed next to the name. indicating the number of people currently playing as that Class.
Mage classes were separated by color.
Red is Fire. (895)
Blue is Water. (564)
Green is Plants. (684)
Brown is Earth. ( 376)
Yellow is Electric (621)
Purple is Gravity. (198)
Gold is Healing and often associated with something called the Mystic Church. (150)
Black is Darkness/ sometimes evil (42)
White is... (0)
What's a White Mage?
He selected it out of curiosity.
[Mage that works directly with Mana itself, in it's purest form. Gaining the ability to pull Mana out of the surroundings adeptly and control it with ease. A White Mage has the possibility to learn Spells from other Mage Classes after increasing proficiency to ??? ]
Luther selected the White Mage class. It was a no brainer, really. Being the only one means that he would be getting all of the the First Achievements to this class. That was sure to get him into great colleges.

Luther would have been more shocked by the panel, if it didn't get dark quickly. He looked out to see the full moon looking blood red.
"Well, fuck..."
