Chapter 6: Under the Umbrella
Rain.
Of all the days to forget her umbrella, Mizuki had to pick the one where the sky decided to open the floodgates of hell.
She stood under the school entrance, scowling at the downpour. Students were either fleeing dramatically or cuddling up under shared umbrellas like a shoujo manga and animes
Mizuki clicked her tongue. Disgusting.
And then, of course, Haru appeared.
“Yo, Mizuki,” he said, lazily twirling his umbrella. “Forgot yours?”
Mizuki crossed her arms. “No, I just like standing here, admiring the weather.”
Haru chuckled. “Man, what a coincidence. I was just about to leave when I thought— ‘Wait! My dear best friend Mizuki might be in trouble!’ So here I am. Your knight in shining—”
“I’m walking home alone.”
“NOOOO, WAIT.”
THE "ROMANTIC" WALK HOME
in his face
Mizuki, against her better judgment, found herself under Haru’s umbrella.

It should have been romantic. It should have.
But…
The umbrella was too small.
Haru, being a TALL IDIOT, held it way too high.
The rain hit Mizuki’s shoulder, but Haru stayed completely dry.
“Move it lower!” she growled.
“Huh? But then I won’t see the road—”
“JUST LOWER IT, YOU GIRAFFE.”
He kept getting distracted.
Instead of enjoying the moment, Haru was staring at other couples.
“Look at that, Mizuki! That guy just pulled his girl closer! Should I try that?”
Mizuki: (╬?益?) "Try it and I'll pull you into the afterlife."
Haru saved mizuki
The sudden roar of an engine.
Mizuki turned her head just in time to see a pair of headlights cutting through the misty rain
A car was speeding toward her.
Her breath caught.
Before she could react, a strong arm wrapped around her waist— Pulled her back.
Mizuki, are you ok? Haru speaks in low and concern voice
Mizuki blinked up at him. Rain dripped from his bangs, his golden eyes burning into hers, waiting for an answer.
“I..” she swallowed “y-yeah” says mizuki
Haru exhaled sharply, his grip on her loosening—but not completely.
“Jeez” he muttered and looked towards van’s direction and speaks in annoyed tone “who gave me him driving licence”
Mizuki stared at him, her own heart still racing. She had never seen this side of him before. The usual playful, pervy Haru was nowhere to be found. Instead, standing before her was someone serious, protective… and unbelievably close
Her cheeks burned.
"Um… Haru?" she whispered.
He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?”
He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?”
Mizuki opened her mouth to say something else but she ended up saying him
“Thank you haru-kun~”
But during saving mizuki haru uniform was wet which was sprayed by the van
“Oh come on not the uniform..” he was totally annoyed and frustrated about it
And they continued to walking towards home.
