The person from Rezelus was clothed in a blue robe with a golden necklace. The necklace has a coat of arms hanging from it with the inscription “Shield of the Divine Emperor” written in formal language. The person is one of the so-called “protectors”. Kael was reminded of his past experience when he almost died from mana crystallization.
Kael stopped walking towards the unnamed mage, and waited for the right time to say something. The unnamed mage was saying something to the protector that Kael and the others could not hear. But Kael could guess what the unnamed mage said, seeing that the protector’s expression changed and went frantically back to the teleportation platform. The protector didn’t even notice Kael and the others. After the protector briefly left, Kael gestured for the others to come with him to the unnamed mage’s aid.
“Who are you people? Where is the king of this kingdom?”, the unnamed mage asked. He was still trying to recover from his fight against Abzer, but he sustained significant injuries and he didn’t have much mana left in him.
Cadell initiated and introduced himself. He also introduced the others, and from there, he answered the unnamed mage’s questions. He supplemented his answer, and informed the unnamed mage that the invasion was over. The unnamed mage was relieved hearing that, and allowed Seqina to help him heal. After some minutes, another person arrived at the scene. It was Magister Lucius.
“This is horrible”, Magister Lucius stated, seeing the corpses and destruction inside the castle. He was on his way to check for the king, and stumbled upon the group. He looked at the group of people, and saw Kael among them.
Cadell and the others, even the unnamed mage, after seeing Magister Lucius, attempted to kneel at the grandmaster mage. Lucius was quick to stop them from doing so, trying to prevent Kael to conform and kneel at him as well.
“It’s a great thing that you’re here Grandmaster Lucius”, the unnamed mage said. Magister Lucius was about to reply to the unnamed mage, but he was interrupted by the teleportation platform lighting up again.
On the teleportation platform, four people stood including the protector from before. There were two others that also wore the blue robe of a protector, and in between those two, a person wearing a white robe ornamented with golden embroidery. The unnamed mage quickly got near them, and kneeled at their presence.
“Your greatness, I’m your humble servant”, the unnamed mage said.
The person addressed by the unnamed mage, the great priest, remained silent. He glanced at Kael and his group, and went in front of Magister Lucius. The protectors went with him, and they requested the magister to come with them. After some time, they finished their conversation, and the great priest went in front of Elalios.
“You shouldn’t be here”, the great priest said. He was glaring at Elalios like he was looking down on him. Elalios was silent.
Kael didn’t like what he felt during that time. He wanted to say something, but behind the great priest, Magister Lucius gestured to not do anything. He forced himself to become silent, and all he could do was glare at the great priest. The great priest however, noticed how Kael looked at him, and so, the great priest went to him.
“Who is your father?”, the great priest asked. Kael was about to answer when suddenly, the great priest slapped him.
The people present during that time were shocked by the great priest’s action. Even the protectors and the unnamed mage didn’t know what to do.
“Don’t glare at me like that. Your father should have told you”, the great priest said. The three servants of the Earl were furious at what happened, but they couldn’t do anything against a citizen of Rezelus. However, one man wouldn’t let the great priest do what he pleased.
“You shouldn’t have done that”, Magister Lucius said. The great priest looked behind him, and see the terrifying gaze that the magister showed him. The protectors went between them, preparing themselves to shield the great priest from the magister’s animosity.
“Who are you talking to, Lucius?”, the great priest asked.

“I’m talking to you”, Magister Lucius asserted. He marched towards the great priest, and stopped in front of the protectors.
“Don’t make another step!”, one of the protectors ordered.
“Do you think you can stop me?”
The protectors felt fearful for their own safety. The magister was clearly serious about hurting the great priest. But they couldn’t flee because what they were protecting was someone more valuable than them.
“Your quite arrogant, Lucius. You won’t get away with this blasphemy”, the great priest stated. He ordered the protectors to return with him to Rezelus. The unnamed mage also followed them. Before they were transported back to the city-state, the great priest glared at Kael one last time.
Many days would pass. The town of Deyrem experienced a surge of people from across the kingdom. With so many people helping, the town’s recovery was expected in a couple of weeks.
The news of the demon invasion would spread across the land, and with that, the fear of many that the same thing would happen to their town. The human kingdoms urged the Rezelus church to take action, and so, for the days and months that would follow, the church appointed mages to assure the people depending on them.
Meanwhile, Kael was pleaded by Lucius to come with him, as there’s someone else that would like to meet him as well. He accepted Lucius’s request and they went to Meredith’s place.
Meredith, upon seeing Kael face to face, kneeled at his presence. She didn’t look at the image of a young boy, but believed in what Lucius claimed Kael is. Upon seeing how much joy she expressed, Kael surrendered to the reality that there are people who considered him as their god.
“I should have been there”, Meredith stated. Lucius told her what happened inside the king’s castle, especially what the great priest did. She apologized to Kael, but Kael seemed to not take offense on what had happened to him. What he had in mind was the looming threat that will eventually ravage the land, as the demon king was confirmed to also be alive. As he was listening to Lucius and Meredith’s conversations, the two faithfuls noticed his silence.
“Lord Lucien, you seem to be worried”, Lucius said.
“If we may intrude…”, Meredith said but before she continued, she stopped herself from asking.
Kael looked at the two faithfuls. He didn’t want them to be involved in his mission, but in his current strength, he knew that he was not ready. He was reminded once again that in his current life, he’s just an ordinary person.
“I.. I need some help”, Kael said reluctantly. He was used to doing everything by himself that it felt a bit uncomfortable to depend on others. But, upon hearing what he just said, the two faithfuls’ eyes brightened, and once again kneeled at him.
“We are your servants, command us as you please”, Lucius declared. Meredith on the other hand, couldn’t hide her excitement and smiled at the thought of finally serving Lucien.
Kael was overwhelmed by the display, saying his gratitude towards them. He didn’t want them to be directly involved, he only needed their assistance to strengthen himself. Having that thought in mind, Kael convinced himself that it was alright for the two faithfuls to help him a bit. He might be running out of time, so he needed to find what he needed fast. He must search for another of his magic creation, but, like “Late Cost”, he had no idea where to find it.
“I’m trying to find something”, Kael paused for a moment. “But I’m not familiar with this current world”, he continued.
Lucius and Meredith looked at each other, and as if understanding what Kael wanted, they nodded at each other.
“There are some people that could help you, my lord”, Lucius said. “But, I’m afraid they’re not here in town”
“What do you mean?”, Kael asked.
“They’re in Ligdlan right now, near the border of the human lands and the elven territories”, Lucius answered.
Kael was a bit confused, but he quickly remembered where he heard the name. His late grandfather told him about the place, and in his memory, it is considered the most important place for Lucienean faithfuls. His curiosity returned to him, as it was his desire for so long to see the mysterious place for himself. And, looking at Lucius and Meredith’s devotion to him, he couldn’t find a reason to not go with them. He could go is what he thought.
“If it’s alright, I want to go to that place”, Kael stated.
The two faithfuls looked at the person they worship, and were so glad of what they heard. They accepted the request without hesitation, and they were so excited that for the rest of the day, they prepared like they were to depart that same day. Kael, on the other hand, was planning to go to Ligdlan after he was sure that all was taken care of in their town. For him, there are some things that he needed to do first.
