Chapter 169: Read It Again Without Changing a Single Word (9)

I said those words when I was in a bad mood and didn't choose my words carefully.

After he finished speaking, he regretted it.

He thought that she, dressed like this, would never really leave him, but unexpectedly, she turned out to be braver than he had imagined, and without any hesitation or delay, she simply turned around and walked away.

At the moment she slammed the door shut, Gu Yu sprang up from his chair as if conditioned.

He was just about to kick away the chair behind him when the butler suddenly spoke up in a flustered tone: "Mr. Gu, Miss has really left..."

He was called by the butler and he finally reacted, realizing that he had to chase after him.

Gu Yu's life was like being punched hard by someone, and he froze on the spot.

"Mr. Gu, don't mind her, if she goes out dressed like that and something happens?"

Housekeeper's incessant chatter brought Gu Yu back to his senses. Today's frequent loss of control and composure made him suddenly flare up at the housekeeper: "What are you making a fuss about? If something happens, it's best if she dies outside! If she has the ability, she should never come back for the rest of her life!"

The housekeeper was so intimidated by Gu Yu Sheng that she didn't dare say another word. Worried, she frequently looked out the window.

Gu Yu Sheng looked at the housekeeper who was looking out of the window and also glanced outside.

The courtyard was empty and desolate, with only the dim yellow light shining. She had run out quickly, and her figure had long since disappeared from view.

Gu Yu Sheng's chest felt increasingly anxious for no reason, he kicked away the chair behind him and rushed upstairs.

The housekeeper didn't dare to provoke him, several times wanting to speak up but not daring to, until he was about to reach the staircase corner when the housekeeper finally spoke up: "Mr. Gu..."

Mr. Gu was already annoyed, and when the butler called out to him, his anger flared up even more fiercely. He stopped in his tracks, turned around, and glared at the butler with a condescending attitude, launching into a scathing tirade: "What's with this 'Mr. Gu' business? What are you yelling for? Do you think she'll turn back into herself just because you're shouting? Are you blind? Can't you see she ran out in her pajamas? What are you still standing around for? Hurry up and go catch up to her! Have you lost all sense?"

The housekeeper was scolded by him and was stunned for a moment. Later, he reacted quickly and rushed out the door.

As the door was heavily slammed shut by the butler, Gu Yu Sheng gritted his teeth and muttered again: "Spent so much money, raised a decoration!"

Then he turned around and went upstairs.

Back in his study, Gu Yu Sheng quickly lit a cigarette and stood on the balcony to smoke, occasionally glancing out the door.

The gate of the courtyard was always quiet, and the steward who chased her out had never returned.

It was almost 10 o'clock at night, she wore pajamas, had no money, no mobile phone, and didn't bring the car key... nor did she know if the housekeeper had found her.

The anger in my heart was instantly replaced by unspoken worries.

He became restless, lit a cigarette and paced back and forth on the balcony.

It wasn't long, but the cigarette had already burned halfway. However, Gu Yu Sheng felt as if it was an eternity. The more he waited, the more anxious he became. He raised his hand to take a drag, almost putting the lit end in his mouth. Irritated, he extinguished the cigarette and turned back into the house, found his phone, and started dialing the butler's number.
