It has honestly been half a year, and Romeo has been a great deal of fun. We laugh; we have fun, but I don’t feel like he’s being genuine with me. Though he is passionate, he’s also incredibly distant, and it’s kind of alarming.
In fact, while I was spending the night in his apartment, I found several books about pregnancy, along with a lot of lewd content pertaining to pregnant women and one more favored magazine about male pregnancy. Maybe this is what I needed.
The next morning I made Romeo breakfast, and as we were eating, I told him that I recently had surgery in order to become pregnant.
When Romeo heard this, he instantly dropped his utensil and quickly scooped me up and took me to his bedroom, and I have to say, for a mortal, he had some experience. I mean, it was enough to rock my world at least.
I would sleep completely satisfied; my dreams were amazing, but then I felt it: a black haze consumed my dream, leaving me in darkness.
And I couldn't wake up. I sat in the dark for God knows how long. This wasn’t normal. I am a primordial god; normally it would take something like one of my siblings to do this, but then I thought of my family. The idea of never seeing Psyche and Hedone’s faces again was my only priority, and even though the dream world is not my domain, I had to do something.
I mustered up my power and sent a massive wave to try and break this dream.
As I pushed the wave, the dream slowly began to dissipate, and I was slowly waking up, and I was horrified to find myself strapped to a medical chair, my legs spread apart like I was visiting an obstetrician. I was so full of rage; Rose Bramble soon grew from the ground and unbound me. When I stood up, I found that I was hurting greatly, but I didn’t care.
I soon called for my servants, and I told them to ravage this place. I soon summoned my knives, and I used poniard knives. I adore their design, but that’s besides the point. I unleashed hell.
I was taken to a facility underground, and thank god I was the only prisoner down there because I don't know if I could have spared anyone else. I soon came to Romeo, who was cowering. I demanded answers, and he just stayed silent, quaking in fear.
He looked like he had absolutely no idea what he had done. I simply sighed and decided to do this the easy way: I can punish this ass and leave at the same time.
I shed my mortal guise, revealing my godly form, and the energy released by destroying my guise killed this crazy ass. I then made my way home; upon arriving, I found that my home was in ruins with my servants trying their best to do my job.
I quickly made my way to my office and began reading through reports and doing my best to spread love to the mortal world. I nearly had another war on my hands by the time I had finished mending the world. I saw Psyche and Hedone staring at me with tears in their eyes, and without another word, we ran to each other and hugged. Many tears were shed that day.
It was Psyche who told me that I had been missing for over a year. I was absolutely horrified and explained what I could, sparing the more adult subjects for Hedone, of course.
Soon I was visited by my siblings; the first to come was Gaia and Tartarus, then Erebos and Nyx.
Gaia was garbed in her typical wedding-style dress; it was completely decorated with flowers, and river streams in her hands was a large basketball-sized sphere. This was the Heart of the World that she guarded with her life.
Then there were Erebos and Nyx; these two were the strangest, with Erebos being the primordial god of Darkness and Shadow and his wife being the goddess of night.
Erebos was dressed in an all-black cultist robe with dark indigo hair made of smoke; his eyes were a piercing shade of white.
Nyx, on the other hand, was dressed in a dark purple bodysuit with built-in heels around her neck. She was a caller of feathers, and her hair was deep silver with a tiara perched atop her head, her sleeves long and bell-shaped.
Erebos: Cupid, where have you been? We were all searching all over for you.
Gaia: Yes, wherever you were, even I couldn’t find you, not even with my husband's sight or my roots.
Tartarus then came over and started to examine my body from the top of my head to my feet
Tartarus: Did that human do this to you? I felt him enter my domain not too long ago.
I took a breath and explained everything to them, my inescapable dream of waking up in that underground facility and the pain I felt as I got on my feet.
Gaia and Nyx then went silent, looking at each other, noticeably worried they would then ask me to meet them in my office. I was weirded out, and when Psyche, Erebos, and Tartarus tried to follow, Gaia and Nyx said to stay. I was even more scared.

Soon I was alone with my older sisters, and Nyx clapped her hands, and a cloud of night surrounded the three of us.
Cupid: Am I going to die?
Gaia: No, sweet little brother, no, but we need to confirm something.
Cupid: Is it so serious that Nyx needs to create a cloud of night just to make sure this secret isn’t heard by anyone else?
Nyx: Hell yeah, do it. Gaia
Gaia would then cause a vine to sprout from her dress, and it would drop a seed into my hand. I was greatly confused.
Gaia: Sweet little brother, please put some of your power into that seed; we need to see what grows from it.
I had done this plenty of times. We do this to test the power of gods.
I take a breath and put a small portion of my power into the seed, and instantly an entire bouquet of pink flowers sprouts from it, and the flowers just continue to grow and spread. These flowers nearly pierced the cloud of night, but Gaia quickly absorbed the flowers into her dress, and I was completely shocked. Both Nyx and Gaia looked incredibly worried.
Cupid: When did I get that powerful?
Gaia: Um, it’s not that you’ve grown in power, little brother; it’s more like…
Nyx: You're pregnant.
Cupid: What?
I was completely stunned by this
Gaia: That seed is not like the normal ones we use to gauge a god’s power; that seed is used to confirm pregnancy and to gauge the power of the child.
Nyx: Given how the flowers that bloomed from that seed were about to tear apart my cloud of night, it means that you have some particularly powerful buns in your oven. Cupid
Gaia: They may even be more powerful than my own grandchildren.
I started to tune out what my sisters were saying. I was more terrified that a human had somehow impregnated me and the child or children could be more powerful than my sister, the Mother of Darkness, a primordial goddess more feared than me.
I suddenly felt really sick.
But Nyx was able to snap me out of it; she took hold of both of my shoulders and said
Nyx: Cupid, don’t worry; we can handle this. You have options.
Cupid: Wait a minute, what do you mean by that?
Nyx and Gaia froze; they looked nervous. Nyx then cleared her throat and said
Nyx: You mean you want this child?
Cupid: Well, yes, this child is innocent, and frankly, I like the idea of putting that lightning-throwing jackass in his place.
Gaia and Nyx then thought for a moment before dropping the cloud of night. Gaia then walked over and let in Erebos and Tartarus. I told Psyche to take Hedone down to the Mortal World for an extra 4 months.
Psyche was surprised and worried; in fact, Hedone was still worried. My siblings then allowed me to speak with my family.
Psyche: Cupid What’s going on? Is it anything bad?
Cupid: Yes, I’m fine. I just need to sort some things out with my siblings.
Hedone: Daddy, I want to stay and be with you. I missed you.
I knelt down and hugged Hedone tightly; I was so worried for him.
Cupid: My little star, I’m worried for you too, but I need to speak with your aunties and uncles really quickly. Then you know what? We can all go down to the mortal world together.
Hedone then let out a huge gasp; he was getting really excited.
Hedone: Really? Really
Cupid: Yes, really. Really
Psyche soon gave me a kiss and took Hedone to go pack up a suitcase. I soon went back into my office and closed the double doors.
Cupid: So then how are we going to move forward?
Nyx soon closed her cell phone and spoke up, saying
Nyx: I have just confirmed with my grandson Morpheus, who trapped you in that dream, that apparently Hypnos has been scheming again and experimenting with Mortal Science.
Gaia: meaning?
Nyx: meaning that the children baking inside our Brother are greatly enhanced like no other god currently alive.
Tartarus: Why would Hypnos do such a thing?
Nyx: Do I really need to say why?
Everyone currently in the office agreed.
Erebus: So in a way, this is a boon; if we work carefully, we can dethrone that lightning-throwing jackass and create a brand new line of succession.
Gaia: It pains me to have to do this, but I agree my lineage has failed almost spectacularly.
Erebus: So we are in agreement, then?
Tartarus: Yes, but I do say there are some dissenters in the pantheon who may be willing to join our ranks. I know for a fact that Hades is one of them.
Nyx: Well, we can have Hypnos look into that, but for now we have work to do. In ten days new stars will form to match the souls of the children within Cupid.
Gaia: I can get my husband to find them; it will then be up to Erebus to hide them.
Erebus: That won’t be a problem at all.
Tartarus: We are going to need to unite our armies. I imagine that the lightning-flinging jackass will not take this new succession well, so I say we hide our armies within me. We may also need the aid of the Titans.
Gaia’s face would light up at the mere mention of freeing her children.
Gaia: Are you serious?
Cupid: Honestly, we have no other choice.
Gaia: And the Hecatons?
Nyx: That might be a problem since one of them has sworn loyalty to the lightning-throwing jackass.
Gaia, so we can only rely on the other two. I see that would be preferred, but I will try to talk sense into him.
Nyx: So we have our tasks: First, we have my son Hypnos look for descenters within the Pantheon; next, when the children are born, Erebus will hide the stars; next, Tartarus will shelter any descenters and our armies within his realm. Lastly, Cupid must be protected at all costs.
We all bowed our heads in agreement, and we all set about our tasks. I soon took my family down to the mortal world, and this would be our first family vacation. With all the work I had put in, I was free for a good while.
And I had to say I need to come down to earth more often with my family.
My family would soon retire to a deluxe hotel. After putting Hedone to bed, I sat with my husband and told him what was going on; his face was a mix of shocked, fearful, and excited.
After all, the idea of a primordial god siring a new lineage of gods is incredibly unexpected.
We would then set to work on deciding how the nursery would be as well as names before retiring to bed.
What the future has in store, only God knows.
