Chapter 2 Sichuan Army Officer School
Yang Xing was blown stupid. Luo Zezhou saw familiar faces and couldn't help but tease his classmates around him.
The day before yesterday, when the instructor had everyone practice throwing new-style hand grenades, someone secretly threw a real hand grenade. A trainee pulled the fuse and only then was it discovered. In the chaos that followed, it was thrown under Yang Xing's feet, causing an explosion.
It's fortunate that Yang Xing didn't waste his four years in elementary school, and he was still agile. When he saw the hand grenade being thrown at his feet and about to explode, he immediately fell prone and narrowly escaped being blown to pieces.
However, the new-style weapon was still very powerful, and Yang Xing was immediately blown unconscious to the ground, with multiple injuries all over his body, bleeding non-stop.
Wang Mingzhang beside was shocked at the sight, immediately tore off his clothes and bandaged Yang Xing. Only then did he avoid bleeding to death.
After the military doctor arrived and stopped the bleeding, Wang Mingzhang and Li Jiayu carried Yang Xing, who was injured and unconscious, to the infirmary for observation.
It was probably due to excessive bleeding, or maybe he really got blown stupid like Luo Zezhou said. It wasn't until the next day that this moldy egg finally came to, and upon seeing us brothers, he was shocked and repeatedly asked: "Who are you?"
As soon as he heard this, Wang Mingzhang was delighted. He had been in the Sichuan Army Primary School for several years and didn't know who the brothers were?
After a series of teasing, Wang Mingzhang finally told him that this was Li Jiayu, who is this?
Who would have thought that Yang Xing's face became even more puzzled upon hearing this, and he grabbed his own hand and asked: "Are you Wang Mingzhang? Is he Li Jiayu?" It makes people feel uncomfortable.
Then Yang Xing was like a dead man, speechless, sitting stupidly, and the several brothers had to wait on him for half a day.
After that, this Yang Xing became even stranger and was no longer the poor but happy young man he used to be. After that, he often held onto that Han Yang rifle in a daze.
The rumor of Yang Xing becoming stupid spread like this, and Luo Zezhou told everyone he met that Yang Xing had become stupid.
In fact, this Yang Xing was no longer the original Yang Xing. He had crossed over to the Republic of China in the East and became a student at the Sichuan Army Military Academy.
Eastern feeling suffocated, did not think that would be killed by the little Japanese like this, his own past life only unwilling to do a traitor against conscience, was wronged to death like this.
Let's just get through this, at least become some kind of young master or noble. It won't be a waste to be a hero once in my life. Who knew I'd actually travel back to the first year of the Republic of China? A time when warlords rose up and the world was in chaos. What's even more unbearable is that over twenty years later, it would be the bloody years of Japan's crazy invasion of China.
Alas, every time I see Wang Mingzhang, Li Jiayu and Yang Xing in front of me, I sigh with emotion.
Wang Mingzhang, also known as Zhi Zhong, was a Han Chinese general from Xindu, Sichuan Province. Before the Battle of Taierzhuang, he led 4,000 poorly equipped Sichuan troops in a desperate defense of Teng County against Japanese mechanized forces for several days. After the county seat was occupied, Wang refused to retreat and continued fighting until his death, thus creating favorable conditions for the subsequent victory at Taierzhuang. He was posthumously promoted to General by the Nationalist government.
Li Jiayu's experience was no less impressive than Wang Mingzhang's. Born in Bai Laogou, Daxingchang, Pujiang County, Sichuan Province, he was a renowned anti-Japanese general and national hero. After the war of resistance against Japan, he volunteered to fight against the enemy out of national indignation and wrote a poem: "A man with a sword leaves Sichuan, vowing not to return until the Japanese bandits are eliminated; there is no need to bury bones in one's hometown, for every place is a green mountain." He led his troops to participate in the famous Changzhi Campaign and Zhongyuan Campaign, and was promoted to commander of the 36th Group Army due to his meritorious service. In 1944, Japan launched the Henan-Guangxi-Hunan Campaign to rescue its Pacific battlefield, and the First War Zone's Jiang Dingwen and Central Army's Tang Enbo fled without a fight. General Li Jiayu volunteered to take up the rear guard, but unfortunately was ambushed and martyred by the Japanese army during the retreat. Li Jiayu was one of the two Chinese land army group commanders who died on the battlefield of resistance against Japan, along with General Zhang Zizhong.
Although Li Jaiyu may not have had as many military achievements as Chang Zongchang, or experienced the legendary life of Chang Zongchang, in later generations, people remembered only one army commander who died on the battlefield - Zhang Zongchang. In the end, Li Jaiyu became a forgotten man.
Forget it, who made their own fate miserable? They actually crossed over to this era of warlordism and fragmentation, and they still have to face the humiliation of Little Japan once again.
But there is another advantage, this life should not be as helpless to Little Japan as in the previous life. At least these two fellow students are anti-Japanese generals, and after their death, they were both posthumously promoted to general by the National Government.

It seems that as long as one makes an effort, as long as they are not eliminated, in the future battlefield against Japan, it is also possible to lead troops to fight against the Japanese devils like these two gentlemen, and behead the despicable Japanese like Suzuki.
Thinking of this, Yang Xing couldn't help but feel a little melancholic. Since fate was so unfair, he might as well start from scratch. Relying on the residual memories, Dongfang recalled Yang Xing's past life.
Yang Xing, born in 1893, was a native of Pengzhou, Sichuan. He was intelligent and clever since childhood, which made his family members feel unusual. His parents advised him to follow the old scholar in their clan to study the Four Books and Five Classics.
But who would have thought that the Qing dynasty changed suddenly, and at the age of eleven, the imperial examination was changed to new learning, so four years of studying the Four Books and Five Classics were all in vain.
Seeing the young son staying at home, holding several books of Four Books and Five Classics in a daze, the poor parents did not have the heart to interrupt Xiao Yang's studies. They immediately decided to cut down on food and clothing expenses and sent Xiao Yang to Pengzhou Middle School to learn new knowledge.
Who would have thought that heaven has no choice but to change the wind and clouds, in less than 3 years of studying at the new school, his parents died one after another, losing their source of livelihood, with no way out, Xiao Yang Xing had no choice but to prepare to give up his studies and return home to farm.
It is worth noting that during the Republic of China era, many 15- or 16-year-old men had already started their own families and careers. Although Xiao Yang excelled in all subjects, it was still difficult for him to achieve success in his endeavors.
The teacher, Ding Xiang, couldn't bear to see such a talented student fall into despair. After inquiring around, he found out that the national army was recruiting new soldiers and Zhao Er-feng, the governor of Sichuan, was also recruiting for his new army. Underneath him, there was an elementary school for the army. Now that Yang Xing had lost his financial support, it was impossible for him to continue studying at Pengzhou Middle School. As the saying goes, "A dead horse is still a doctor to a living horse", and "The rich don't make soldiers". Now this young Yang Xing had nothing left, on the verge of becoming a proletarian. So why not join the army? After all, being a soldier could also lead to a good future.
As soon as Teacher Zhu introduced it, Xiao Yang thought about it and felt that going out to take a look wouldn't be bad either. In such a chaotic world, being a soldier isn't a bad way out either.
He immediately bought a house and property, traveled thousands of miles to unfamiliar Chengdu, and applied for the Sichuan Army Primary School.
Since ancient times, good men have never been soldiers. In the long history, the status of soldiers has always been very low. Even in the Song Dynasty, a great general like Di Qing had to carve words on his face.
With several years of private school and new knowledge, as well as his natural talent, he was admitted immediately, thus studying with Wang Mingchang and others in the Army Primary School for four years.
Due to his poor family background and having no one to rely on, Xiao Yang was very well-behaved in school, unlike Wang Mingzhang and Li Jiayu who attended this meeting today and that meeting tomorrow. He focused his heart on studying, and often excelled in various military subjects.
Although so, because of the relationship with Wang Mingzhang and Li Jiayu in the same shed, they still become sworn brothers.
In recent years, everyone at Lu Jun Elementary School has been concerned about politics; who can still be so detached from worldly affairs and focus solely on reading the classics?
Sichuan has now declared independence and established the Great Han Sichuan Military Government, with Baolu Movement leader Pu Dianjun as the Grand Governor and Sichuan military leader Zhu Qinglang as the Deputy Governor.
For this military government, everyone expressed extreme helplessness, and some students believed that it was a product of complete compromise. In fact, the great Sichuan people were the first to oppose the Qing dynasty's rule, although in the past everyone unanimously considered Wuhan as the city where China's revolution began, but at this time, the cadets of the Sichuan Army Military Academy all believed that it was the Sichuan people who fired the first shot against the corrupt and rotten Manchu rule.
In the late Qing dynasty, the imperial court first encouraged various provinces to build railways in order to develop new policies.
However, as repairing the railways required a lot of money, and imperialism saw the huge benefits brought by repairing the railways and colluding with Qing officials, they decided to nationalize the self-built railways in various provinces and then sell them exclusively to foreigners. As a result, not only would repairing the railways not bring any economic pressure on the Qing court, but more importantly, when selling the railways to foreigners, there were too many gray incomes. Therefore, the Qing court forcibly converted the official railways of various provinces into nationalized railways, disregarding the opposition from various provinces and the threat of the revolutionary movement.

It is worth noting that at the time, Sichuan Province had invested nearly 10 million taels of silver in building railways. Under the organization of famous Sichuan scholars such as Pu Dianjun, Zhang Lan and Luo Yun, various localities established railway protection associations, launching a vigorous movement to protect the railways.
Sichuan Governor Zhao Erfeng was shocked to see the normally docile Sichuan people daring to openly defy the imperial court, and immediately had the leaders of the Railway Protection Movement, Pu Dianjun, Zhang Lan and Luo Lun, arrested and prepared to execute them. However, the Sichuan people were not intimidated by Zhao's tyranny, and merchants closed their shops in protest or went to Zhao's governor-general's office to petition.
Zhang Erfeng immediately ordered the soldiers and police to open fire on the unarmed Sichuan people, killing more than 30 people on the spot, causing a nationwide sensation known as the Chengdu Massacre.
Under the organization of Tongmenghui, Sichuan people took up arms to protect the road. Seeing that the situation in Sichuan was out of control, Railway Director-General Duanfang on the one hand led his troops to reinforce Zhao Erfeng, and on the other hand impeached Zhao Erfeng with a memorial to the Qing court, so as to take over as Governor of Sichuan himself.
However, the plot was discovered by Zhao Erxun, the elder brother of Zhao Erfeng, who took preemptive action and declared Sichuan's independence, handing power over to the Sichuan Railway Protection League on the surface.
Welcome to Sanxin Enterprise Management Consulting Center:
After the independence, the Great Sichuan Military Government became a product of compromise between the old and new factions. Pu Dianjun, the president of the Sichuan Railway Protection League, was appointed as the Grand Governor, while Zhu Qinglan, a trusted subordinate of Zhao Erfeng, was appointed as the Deputy Governor.
But afterwards, after Feng Guozhang led his troops to take Han Yang in the south, Zhao Erfeng was a bit restless and prepared to launch a rebellion, overthrowing the Great Han Sichuan Military Government. Seeing Zhao Erfeng's momentum, Pu Dianjun was so scared that he immediately escaped from Chengdu.
At this critical moment, Yin Changheng, the head of the Military and Political Department of Sichuan and the principal of the Sichuan Army Elementary School, immediately went to Mount Fenghuang, rushed to the Sichuan Army Elementary School to mobilize troops to quickly quell the rebellion by Zhao Erfeng. Afterwards, he was publicly tried, and amidst the people's cries for his execution, the notorious Butcher Zhao met his end.
After that, Yin Changheng was sworn in as the inspector of the Great Han Military Government of Sichuan and announced that his own Sichuan Army Elementary School would be reorganized into Sichuan Army Officer School.
And historically, Sichuan Army Primary School or Sichuan Army Officer School, although not as many other military schools that have cultivated a large number of generals, is also not unknown.
Sichuan Army Primary School was a military school that evolved gradually during the establishment of the New Armies across the country. In 1906, the Sichuan Governor Xiliang established the Sichuan Land Force NCO Training Team. The next year, his successor Zhao Erxun expanded it into the Sichuan Land Force Accelerated Officer Training Program to cultivate new-style Sichuan military officers.
In order to better cultivate officers, on the basis of the crash system, Sichuan Army Primary School was established, and finally under Yin Changheng's hands, the Army Primary School evolved into Sichuan Army Military Academy.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Sichuan warlords were mostly graduates of the Accelerated Class, Sichuan Army Primary School, or Sichuan Army Military Academy.
Men like Liu Xiang of Sichuan, Liu Wenhui of the Southwest, General Yang Sen, Anti-Japanese General Wang Mingchang, Li Jiayu, Deng Xihou, He Guoguang, Wang Zanxu and Sun Zhen were all born here.
It seems that although it is not a cradle of born generals like Huangpu Military School, there are at least many talents among the seniors and juniors.
