  “It is inevitable that cultures interact with their heroes based heavily on their pop culture, and how that taught them to relate to the Enhanced, at least indirectly. Americans tend to respect the heroes, and forgive them the occasional mess easily, lawsuits notwithstanding. Europeans expect them to be a bit more reserved, in general, except for Germany who, oddly, expect a certain level of bombastic behavior.”

  “China expects them to keep everything concealed and will berate their theoretically heroic community for any issue they cause, while in Japan a well-known cape may very well bump into three of themselves in Akihabara on the right, or wrong, day.”

  After a long flight, the plane landed in Tokyo. The group got their luggage, went through customs, and headed out to get a taxi. “Wow. This place makes New York look vintage!” Solaris said watching the city.

  “The shuttle to the hotel should be that way. “Anzy said, reading the Japanese signs. A small bus and black limo were waiting for them to take them to the hotel. Soon they were driving through the city of Tokyo.

  Talia and Grayson were wide eyed. “I never thought I’d see this place.” She said, clutching T-panda to her chest.

  “I thought I would attack this city with a mecha Godzilla.” Grayson said with a laugh.

  "Then fight the copyright claims. Villain is one thing; Copyright thief is very much another." El teased.

  “Oh, come on I’d have given it my own spin. Who doesn’t dream of attacking Tokyo tower!”

  “That’s just you, dude. We’re more into not doing that.”

  “I don’t believe you! I have fantasized about both attacking and defending the tower.” Grayson said, crossing his arms huffing.

  “It’s okay. We know you have villain disease. We will help you.” Elenore said, faux sympathetically. He rolled his eyes.

  “Oh, look at the Raman shops! I am going to divide and conquer the Raman shops!” Anzy said her eyes were gleaming.

  "Not to mention sushi, and a dozen other things." Erica purred.

  "Especially convenience stores." The Ukrainian girl admitted.

  “Oh man, it’s good boss has the gym, all of me is going to gain so much weight.” She looked over at Mei. “I plan to eat like a speedster!” she teased.

  "Um, Anzy, the last time you gained weight you; you know." Elenore made a running motion with her fingers.

  “We don’t talk about that.”

  “Just warn us if you feel, you know, funny again.”

  “Uh, is there something we should know about?” Z asked, confused.

  “Just talking about something that happened the last time my power expanded. It was annoying, and we won’t be discussing it.”

  “Okay, gotcha. Touchy subject.”

  Elenore spoke up "And let’s just try to have fun and try to pretend we're not idiots when the other school’s kids get here."

  Solaris chuckled at her business manager to her personal manager. “Have you been to Japan before Penny?”

  "Once during a joint training operation. Search and Rescue exercise."

  “Did you get a chance to look around? I spent some time here during reconstruction, but I was primarily on the western front during and after the war.” The blond woman asked.

  "It was Okinawa, so yes, but nothing here in Tokyo. I'm kind of looking forward to Akihabara. There's rumors of parts there I might want to buy and ship home."

  "There's always rumors about Akihabara in that regard." Gray nodded.

  “Badger also said it was a place to visit. It was his one regret about not coming with us. He said he gave you a wish list of stuff to pick up for him?”

  "He did, as did Levi." Penny and Erica chuckled. "They're not small, but we can arrange shipping, I suppose."

  Solaris laughed, “I imagine our plane is going to be too full of souvenirs, to fly them home ourselves.” They pulled up to a tall shining building with a shorter red building in front of it. Even in the dark it gleamed with modernity. It’s going to be good to crawl into bed after the flight.

  "I swear, I'm buying a freighter. We're going to need it." Elenore joked.

  “You may not be wrong, and you have several buildings to put stuff in!”

  "Something small, a nice tramp steamer, whatever the hell that means.”

  “Come on, let's get checked in. I figure we can all take a nap to reset ourselves then have dinner. “

  "That sounds like a fantastic idea." Elenore said, the rest of the crowd cheering in agreement.

  They were shown to their rooms, suites with comfortable beds and couches aplenty, and none of the travelers needing to be pushed to rest, even the two teens collapsing quickly after the long flight.

  Solaris was enjoying her meal at a lovely Ramen shop, the group had split in two so they didn’t overwhelm the smaller restaurants, so she was with Anzy, Elenore, Grayson, Mei Zoya and Marcus, the second group was Penny, Erica, Talia, Anzy and Mercedes , Solaris was pretty sure there where three more Anzy’s going to other, places to eat.

  "Mm, this is so good." Anzy purred, after slurping another helping of noodles from her bowl. She'd ordered small bowls, but two different Ramens to try and was loving every moment of it.

  “Yes, it is. Hopefully, you are taking notes for things to try at home. This would be lovely on a snowy day.”

  "Oh I am. I also found out I could get a Ramen Making class from a place in the city, so I got the concierge to set it up for me." She nodded. "I'm there now." She scratched her stomach as she spoke, smiling.

  That is good, I am definitely going to want more! I am glad you were able to make a food itinerary for us.

  "I've been working on it since you said we were coming to Japan." She admitted. as she sipped some green tea. "I won't lie, this is a mecca for a foodie." She scratched her nose as she chuckled.

  Elenore nodded. "I admit, I've been looking forward to the Sushi. And Mercedes just regrets that we missed cherry tree season."

  “We can come back to see them, though I believe we are also going to stop somewhere with views of Mount Fuji for her to paint.

  "And she's excited by that. I think Mei intends to climb Mount Fuji that day. Something about you should do it once in your life, or something. She read up on it, I think."

  Anzy nodded, as she tasted her next bowl of Ramen, moaning in pleasure.

  Mei nodded. “Yes, I look forward to the view from the top, perhaps you can come with me Anzy?”

  "I think I'd like that. It has to be one hell of a view." She said, wiggling a bit in her seat, reaching behind her to scratch her back.

  “Are you okay? Are you having an allergic reaction to something?”

  "What? No, why would you think..." She paused. "Oh crap, I'm itchy. I need to go back to the hotel." She jumped up, looking left and right.

  "You were supposed to tell me." Elenore said as she Also jumped up."

  "Just, let's head… Oh god..." With a sound much like a champagne bottle popping, suddenly there were two Anzy's where there had been one. While this wasn't unusual, technically, this time they were half sized, cutesy, and looked around confused."

  "Oh fuck." Elenore groaned.
