Chapter 15

Although the omelette was bnd, I took my time and finished the whole pte. It was then that Lu finally woke up. When I heard her shifting about in her bed, I walked over and said good morning to her.

  Lu: Mmm.. mornin...

I heard Lu mumble as she robotically began preparing for the day. It wasn't until she washed her face with water that she noticed something was off.

Lu: Celine!?!!? I'm sorry, your highness, I wasn't able to wake up and prepare for you in time.

I shook my head and said it was fine before going up and hugging her from the front. She froze in pce from the contact and I took advantage of the situation and started rubbing her ears and tail. I could feel a shiver in up her spine as I quickly ran away as she yelled in embarrassment.

  Lu: CELINE! Get back here!

I ughed as we pyed chase the for a while till Lu's stomach growled. I ughed at her and she looked down and covered her stomach in embarrassment.

Lu: I will get to cooking our meals now you must be hungry.

Celine: Oh, I wanted to tell you that I made an omelette for myself so when you make a portion for me make it smaller.

As I said that, I went back to my room to rex for a bit. Since I am almost going to be silver level, I definitely deserve a little time to rex for myself right? I nodded inwardly and decided so.

I started rolling around my bed until my bnket covered my body like a burrito. I then began thinking about my life here in this new world. I was suddenly dead by an unknown method and got reincarnated as a vampire duke's daughter. Then, I started to learn about the extraordinary powers here.

Ever since then, I just focused on training and not much else. Maybe this trip to another world meant more than a means to hide from the war going on? My parents said that sending me in now would be early and not out of the ordinary. Could exploring this world really be more important than training at home? Since I have the time, maybe I can find the answer on my own.

I showed a confident smirk on my face as I stretched out my palm towards an imaginary sky. Since I have come here, I must make the most of it and live freely here. I clenched my fist and made my determination as such.

Then I heard a knock on my door. I quickly got out of my burrito bnket and opened the door. Outside the door was Lu in an iron who quickly called me over for breakfast. I swallowed my saliva and followed her over to the table in the base. On the ptes were sandwiches which were arranged in a pattern on the middle of the table.

I turned my head a little with a confused expression on my face. Lu then ughs before expining it to me.

Lu: Since you are well, we should probably head back to the base. Although the base runs automatically and the children are there to check up on it, I think we should get back and check up on them.

I nodded in response and finished one of the diagonally cut sandwiches. When Lu finished her meal, she put them into little containers and then into her storage device. Lu then helped us pack up everything before cleaning up the base fully. If we accidentally leave something like our hair here, the natives of this pin can do things like curse us through our stray hairs as a medium so it is general rule of thumb to completely clean the bases you make of anything that can be used against you.

Since it was such a problem among various world explorers, there were basic spells used to deal with such a situation.

  Lu: Basic Magic - Cleanse!

A wave of magic then spread from Lu. All traces of our stay was conveniently cleansed of and so we went and started our trip back to the original town we stayed in. Since I was bored on the road, I went and looked into the communication device that connected us to the base. I went and took a gnce at everything that I have missed since then.

Among them were various adventure stories that the kids told when they went exploring around. While listening to these stories, I got a more well rounded understanding of this world and area around us.

For example, before now I didn't even know that the town we were based at was called Lily Breath Town due to a peculiar herb species that lives nearby. The Lily Breath is a special pnt that gives off a pheromone that calms nearby monsters. This is the reason the town is so safe and secure. Other towns may face various monster tides, but this town had a way to deal with them.

The only unfortunate part is that the flowers require specific conditions to bloom and even taking the pheromone outside a certain range will let them lose effect.

According to some gossip around town, each city under the Church of Light is responsible for four towns and each town is responsible for at least ten nearby vilges. One of the vilges that the Town of Lily Breath is responsible for is is the Rot Weed Vilge that I encountered earlier.

When searching around for information, the adventuring kids noticed that the lord of this town has a decent reputation among the people. He is known as the Lord of Lillies for his peaceful temperament. Although he is known for being tranquil, it doesn't mean he does not know how to fight. According to rumors, he was able to repel an invasion by the Dark Race Alliance and fought off a dark elf in the same tier as him.

The exact details are foggy, but it means that the town is generally safe from most difficulties. Hopefully I didn't just pnt a fg.

  ...

Time passed as we slowly walked our way back. On our way, we wandered around a bit more. Since we knew a little more about our surroundings we took a bit more time than it took to arrive to the valley. Through the communication tool, I had the kids at the base check up on the facilities there so we were able to ascertain the situation from a distance. Because of this, we weren't that worried about the base having any problems.

And so we travelled around and visited the various vilges around the town. We first decided to travel to the closest vilge to us and stayed for a few days. The various vilges welcomed us as their lives were usually the same monotonous days over and over. According to our small chats with the locals here, they rarely get any visitors except for a few merchants who stop by and the adventurers who come to find various herbs near the vilge.

While we were there, we listened to the requests of the vilgers and did some small things like hunting pests or helping out with field work. Once we were done we would leave the vilge and head to the next one.

Even though I did trust the various vilges more now, I still made sure to let my demon eye stake out the vilge for a day before entering the vilge. That in addition to wearing a cloak to hide my red eyes led to a few suspicious gnces but nothing more than that. Mages, while not common, still appear occasionally so they didn't ask much about the cloak.

Because of this, I was able to go about my own business in a safe and secure manner. After checking the vilge, the only important thing of note is that there is a little corruption as I was able to see that the Vilge head had a secret fund underneath their house. After checking it out and talking with the vilgers here, I was able to conclude that they were sneakily taking some of the grain from their harvests and secretly exchanging them for extra money.

Although I knew this was happening, I finally decided to leave it be. There is no need for me to get involved in all of these schemes so we left after staying a few days.

The next few vilges were equally as uneventful for us. Other than once watching a show where an old couple were caught cheating, there was little of actual note. It wasn't until we arrived at Rot Weed Vilge that we finally found something interesting.

When looking through the vilge like usual, there was something off in the vilge. Now that I have visited other vilges, I found that the church's influence here was surprisingly strong. Here, the vilge head is more of a symbolic figure while the priest does plenty of the work. I decided to once again take a look into the church and the priest again.

This investigation sted a whole week. During this time, Lu made sure to always check our communication device in order to know if we ever need to hurry back. I kept an eye on the priest when they aren't preaching and sleeping. It wasn't until the seventh day that the priest's daily pattern changed.

This time, I saw that he went into the backroom and started checking all around to make sure nothing was watching. That was when I knew that my caution was indeed correct.

I saw the priest move around a bunch of furniture in the backroom before taking out a special pot of ink hidden among a pile of regur pots of ink. He then painted a special pattern upon the ground. While he was doing so, I made sure to write down his movements on a notepad as well as the exact pattern he drew so I could perhaps study it ter.

When he was finished, A special pattern was completed on the ground. As I finished painting the pattern, I noticed he pced some special materials on various bnk spaces on the circle. When complete, the circle shone a bright glow. Then, the priest magically vanished from the room. After carefully checking the room over, I knew that the array here was a space based array.

The reason I didn't find out anything before was that the priest would habitually clean up the traces of the array after each usage. After knowing this, I knew that being careful was the right py. If even a hidden church in a small vilge is like this, then who knows what the main church would be like.

Although I knew that there was something wrong with the church here, I still decided to wait till the priest returned and cleaned up the array before I left.

Since the priest here is so secretive, it would probably be better to not enter and possibly scare this priest. If the priest is hiding so hard, then there must be a big secret behind this. I should wait until our organization is strong enough to be in contact with this kind of secret.

For now, we camped a distance away from the vilge and decided to finally head back to base. During this time, more kids have been sent out to be adventurers. This lead to the map of our surroundings being more and more completed. By the time we arrived in town again, the kids had already found where the next town over is. Although I knew the location of the town, we haven't fully developed the base here in Lily Breath Town.

The base could work on its own, but there still needs to be a few people staying there to take care of it. The strength of the kids who went out to be adventurers have finally started to break through to Bck Iron level. Only by reaching the level of Bck Iron will you truly be considered as extraordinary. Because of the jump in strength, they were highly valued by the guild as talents. They were then able to access more knowledge and were able to communicate with higher level people.

This lead to the base now having a comprehensive understanding of the surroundings here. Because of their upbringing, the kids all value this opportunity they have gained to become stronger. They know that the world speaks with strength and that the stronger they become, the better their lives will be.

Since we were back at base, I decided to dedicate more of my time to studying magic. My physical stats such will not have any major boosts till I officially reach the level of Silver. I could feel that I was just on the cusp of the next level. On the other hand, magic is a profession where the more knowledge you have the stronger you become with almost no limit. Thus, I found it a better use of my time to quickly catch up in terms of magic knowledge. Not only do I have to finish all of this extra bronze level knowledge, I have to start learning about silver level knowledge.

Although I can't use it for now, I can at least start learning so that once I do reach that level I won't be completely clueless.

And so, days passed until most of the kids had already been able to support themselves and the base perfectly without me. Some of them, while doing their adventurer duties, have found and brought back unfortunate kids like themselves to liven up the base. This steady stream of fresh blood continued to strengthen the base and organization until a critical question hit me.

Kid: What's the name of our organization?

Hearing this question, I was surprised since the idea of this base was to just help me get familiar with the world I was currently in. Now that I had some time for myself, maybe it was time for me to get more involved with this base.

Thinking this, I asked the kid to go back as I decide the final name of the base. When they left, I hurried over to Lu to see if she had any ideas.

Lu: How about the Silver Garden? Although your eyes should be hidden to prevent others from knowing you are a vampire, your hair should be fine since silver hair is fairly common. The Garden half of the name retes to how our organization should deal with the world. We should shape and grow this garden of a world to your satisfaction.

After hearing Lu's idea, I gave a quick nod and we informed everyone through our communication devices of the decision.

Since that was done, I should now start deciding on another important topic. Positions and roles for the base. Since I was now officially going to treat this base as a force in my hands, I have to start taking care of it like I should. As always, my parents have already prepared for this situation and already wrote down several frameworks for different types of groups that I can just use as is.

Since Wizards and the like began exploring other pnes, they have long gotten used to infiltrating and building forces so the books passed down on the subject have usually been tried and tested for effectiveness before being passed down. Since these frameworks have been working so well in the past, there is no reason for me to reject using such an obvious benefit.

Although I believe that personal strength is the most important factor of all, I still know that the power of a force can truly exert ones own influence. After all, you can't be expected to do everything yourself.

Because of this, I have no aversion to doing things like this so I quickly skimmed through the book. Each chapter of the book talks about how a type of organization works as well as in what situation that type of organization fits into. For my situation, one of the surprising organization types that work for me is building a dark intelligence type of organization. This was already partly what I was doing, I just needed to lean in more to this aspect.

So I got to work, and before long the pn for the organization was finally prepared. In the organization, there is me the leader with the title of the Silver Rose. Under me are 3 main positions that I hope to be able to fill eventually. Those three branches are: The Light Branch, The Intel Branch, and the Dark Branch.

The Light Branch will be filled with adventurers who are willing to go out and explore around finding kids to bring into the group while living out their life. These people will have minimal access to information of the bases and will mostly be there to be an extra source of strength in times of need. Otherwise, they can just live their own lives to their best. They will be the face of the organization.

The Dark Branch are those who are directly under my control and will be the backbone of the force. They will get the resource tilt and will be the ones building bases outward and spreading our influence. They will be the main workers for us and need to be strictly taken care of so I had Lu take care of this one.

The Intel Branch is an equally important force that do various roles in society to lurk and send information over to us. They will be the net that both connects us and constricts our enemies. With this force active, information will flow easily to me and I will almost always have a clear understanding of our territories.

Now that these main branches are being started, I also need to make smaller branches. First is a logistics branch that deals with the logistics for the eventual bases we will have. Next would be an internal investigation force that checks for any problems in the various branches. Finally, it would be great if we could have a specialized group for creating various materials like weapons and potions.

Although personal weapon smiths and potion brewers are not necessary for a force to have, they are needed to have self sufficient force.

With this decided, I went and made a new golem and input the information for basic potion making and forging. Since I personally don't know these crafts, I went and let the golems go through trial and error till a feasible work was created. This was able to be done because our base has started to produce excess materials that we sent off to sell to others.

Of course, I know that selling them in town will only attract unwanted attention, so I built various tunnels and paths from the sewer system to be able to leave the town through the sewers. This lead to an increase in stability as Lily breath town itself did not know that so many resources were being sent out and sold nearby.

Soon, we might be able to take over some of the regur civilian areas of the town. Eventually, taking control of the town will be our first major goal for the organization. But first, I would need to get more kids to train so I did what I knew I could do best. Another sting operation to get kids.

It just so happens that we have just found a new town to target. Although the illegal svers in Lily Breath town may have branches here, not only has it been a while since our attack, but they haven't found us as the culprit of the attack. Either that or they are biding their time to retaliate.

Although the possibility is slim, I made sure to keep an eye out and constantly scan the whole town for any unfamiliar strong groups of people.

In this process, a lot of hidden information was revealed to me. In various hidden pces, there are a few bck iron level fighters observing around. Although they are not specifically watching our base, their patrols will inevitably lead to our base being watched. I can't expect the kids at the base to always be out of site of these watchers.

This is why I built the Light Branch to be the surface face of our organization. By outwardly showing them off as the group, most of the attention will be focused on them. This will help the other branches in blending amongst them.

Even if the world here is weak for my world's standards, they are still competent compared to me currently.

With this thought in my mind, I mentally prepared for my organization building to be. along and drawn out purpose. Although I can't expect the group to be always hidden, I can always hide what I want to hide underneath a facade. That will buy me enough time to build up the organization to the point that I can confidently stay under the church here.

I then went to apply all the changes to the base and started by separating everyone into their respective roles. This was a bit of an endeavor as I had to expin everyone's roles and find the roles that each kid was willing to take over.

Needless to say, many of the kids were willing to enter the dark force, but few were actually suited for their purpose. Only a few elites were selected for the Dark Branch for now.

When choosing who to enter where, I mostly decided by looking through the golems data and from my own observations from the daily operations of the base. This helped me understand the kids more thoroughly than a quick scan of them. Although not foolproof, it is the best option that I have at this current point in time.

As all of that was out of the way, it was time to begin building a base over at the next town. But before that, maybe building a few bases out in the wild could be useful. Since I have a convenient device that can help structure a base from almost nothing, these extra hiding pces could be useful for these kids as adventurers. In addition, more bases means more pces to hide when things go wrong.

So, I began my big project to create a bunch of hidden bases to hide in. Whether it was pnting a mark in a tree that requires a certain code to open, or a cliff face that requires climbing to a certain point to enter, and even underwater bases just in case.

I only felt that my goal was complete when I made ten mini bases all around the wilderness. After putting the information in a secret code that I only taught the dark force for now, I finally decided that my stalling was over and that I should head on over to the next town.

After saying goodbye to the guild, we went on our merry way to the next town over. The path to the next town was found by one of the kids who joined a merchant to travel between towns. Although a little winding, the route was tested for generations of that merchant's family for safety purposes. Because of this I decided to take that route as the main route.

Although I trusted the kid from our base, I did not fully trust the merchant to be honest so I still did my own investigation of the terrain. This resulted in the venture taking longer than it would have if we just took the route directly there.

While investigating, I found various different pnts with various different properties that might be interesting to explore at a ter time. One was a pnt that gave off a sweet scent that lead me to it. While exploring around, I found the bones of many people and animals half buried in the ground. After another investigation, I found that the pnt's scent attracts a certain insect to swarm around. The insect has a paralysis based toxin that can get you if you are not paying attention.

In addition to these, I found that the dangerous species that the merchant's convoy avoided were various herds of beasts as well as a few top predators who live near the herd.

Among them, the scariest was a peak bronze level bear that had found me while I was exploring. Since I was only one step away from Silver, I was able to scare the bear away with just my aura alone. It probably saw that hunting me would be an endeavor that would likely result in heavy injuries and found me unsuitable for hunting.

I also did not bother the bear. In comparison to bear meat, hunting down the herds of beasts would not only be more effective for training, but the meat on them tastes even better.

According to some reports from the adventurer's guild here, the herd of beasts are a type of pig known as the Forest Boar. These beasts are not only strong and fast but they are unusually intelligent as well. According to the guild, 6 out of ten expeditions out here were thwarted due to these swine sniffing them out through their supernatural sense of smell and quietly encircling their target before charging in legion like formations.

Their hard skulls are strong enough to smash through tough trees and are more than enough to trouble even a bronze level when gathered together. But their charge is not what these beasts are feared for. The reason they are feared is due to their sound based abilities that are able to shake the organs of unwitting predators who target them Their yelps can not only damage predators, but they can be used to warn and command the horde of pigs.

This level of intelligence and teamwork lead them to be one of the biggest obstacles for the further expansion of the town of Lily Breath. Bronze is, after all, the second strongest tier of people in this world. In weaker areas, bronze level fighters are responsible for taking care of entire cities while towns are the responsibility of just a group of Bck Iron level fighters.

These factors truly made me happy for my decision to sneak in and only quietly obtain intelligence. Since the leader of Lily Breath Town is a strong Bronze level, anything strange he reports will be taken seriously and my pn to sneak around would have been discounted if I suspected the town to not have any bronze levels.

Now that I know that the town is considered quite important for the church, I know that I should keep a lower profile there than in other pces. In the town that I am currently headed to, they are not lead by a bronze level, but a group of bck Iron level fighters. This means that I don't have to hide as much as I did in the previous town over. Although hiding in a bunch of sewers all over the world would be quite safe, once a single base in the sewers is discovered the others would likely be searched. So I will need to be building bases in a variety of different pces.

Since there are no bronze level people here, I can actually take advantage of the simirity in strength and let a few of the bck iron level kids from our base to work together to take a pce in this town.

With the kids as a foundation, I can secretly hide a new base here. As long as they can buy us enough time, we can easily overwhelm and take over this town with little issue. Although this world has many resources, the people of this world have not developed these resources to the limit. With the help of me and Lu, these abundant resources can be fully utilized in order to quickly grow our forces and take over the whole pne here.

Now, I just need to buy some time.

As I was pnning out how to overthrow the town and take it over for myself, the kids that have been divided into the light branch have successfully made an adventurer group in the guild. They named the group as the Garden of Light and have started to let everyone out there join in the group. With all of the members together, they began to start organizing themselves into their own little groups.

Among them was a group of the 5 strongest kids in the base. In order to show off the talent and potential of the organization to the world, they decided to become their own little adventurer group and to take on difficult missions together.

The five are all divided up by their respective role in the group.

Firstly is the leader of the group, Sean the Padin. He is proficient in Light magic as well as buffing and healing his companions. He showed strong leadership capabilities in the base and has a high status in the base.

Secondly is the second in command, Lily the ice magician. She is a specialist in ice magic and helps to control their opponents while the others output. She is cool, calm, and collected and is second in command in order to help Sean with various management duties.

Third is the fme magician Kris. He specializes in area of effect destruction with fmes. He is their to deal as much damage as possible for the team.

Fourth is the scout Mist. He is good at hiding his presence and perceiving targets. He can easily track and search while also keeping on the lookout for strangers. His archery is the best in the base, due to him being a half-elf.

Finally is the berserker Millie. She has an unnatural level of strength while being a dwarf. She dual wields hammers and can not only fight with brute force, but she can also forge and help do emergency fix ups on armor and weapons.

These five members were all at the level of Bck Iron and teamed up to take on various tasks around town. Ever since they started adventuring, they built up their reputation and after joining the group Garden of Light, their reputation only further soared.

Due to their reputation, they were heading towards an area further off another direction.

Soon, I found the news of their departure on our communication device. I could only pray for their safe return since the five of them were quite strong and talented. If possible, once they return I might decide to let them control the Light Branch of the Silver Rose. Although for now that was just an idea in my mind.

I turned my attention to the area in front of me and sighed a breath of relief. We arrived at our destination, White Ember Town.
