I don't know how long I've floated here, the events prior still clear as day and yet regardless of what I do I nothing changes, I can't possibly be dead, I haven't finished writing my fanfictions (?° ?? ?°)
Neither heaven or hell has come for me could it be that I'm in a coma?
Recalling my extensive knowledge of manga, light novel and fan fiction (no I'm not an Otaku) I should expect a kick to the balls any time soon...
As if on cue *Ding*
It took me a second, then a minute before it sunk in
"Hey wait a fuc..."
Sudden the once barren void started to shift, the blue screen shook and an invasion of colour's rushed to fill the once empty space.
Disorientated I hardly had any time before gasping in shock at this brand new world I was in, this was definitely not the city I was once in as I stared in disbelief, what was once a busy city filled with skyscrapers was now completely gone, I half expected myself to just wake up in my bed having experienced a horrible nightmare and yet, what lay before me was testament that I was no longer in London.
Looking around more I found myself not surrounded by the remains of my house or street but I was in a forest that spanned hundreds of acre’s of vast green tree’s and yet this was tiny in comparison to the physics defying islands in the sky, motionless islands of varying sizes and altitudes littered the sky, some were no bigger than a house while the largest was the size of a large mountain.
Apparently my grand entrance was a rather fiery one, situated in a small crater is where I am, around me appears to be fallen tree's both on fire and charred from an impact, in the epicentre was me and a rather mysterious ruby, perfectly cut 5cm by 5cm the smallish ruby sat floating above the dirt.
Having regained my composure I found to my surprise that I had blue icons in my peripheral vision, focusing on them they responded in kind.
Was I dreaming? this was impossible and yet every fibre of my being told me this was real, screw dying this was like dream come true, fantasy world? check, magic? check now all I need is my harem and I'll be a happy man.
Still in shock I forced myself to focus, I felt nothing of my limbs hell I couldn't even see any of my once human features I must be in greater shock than I even realise, I force myself to think like any other standard protagonist, cast the spell of Hero's, Identify, normally you have to work hard to achieve this spell but I can tell that the system sees me as a worthy of owning this skill.
Now all I need is a fitting vict...subject to example, examining around my eyes trail to the crater I'm in spotting the ruby in its shiny glory it seems like a fitting test subject.
I was baffled, why would such a thing be here?
In a game this would have been end gear loot, only reserved for the best of the best and yet it was here sitting in the middle of a forest, it was one mystery I would have to investigate later on, the more serious issue needed to be tended to, the ultimate fantasy of all boys, magic!
it would be so simple for me, years of light novels had taught me the secret tricks to using magic, I had been "taught" that the key to magic is visualising how you needed it, for example Fireball, a simple spell in all MMO's and as the name implies a simple ball of flame.
Now however was the moment of truth, I was felt adventurous why start with the boring spell when I could conjure flames out of nothing!
I prepared myself, I could FEEL the magic, as if a cool wave over a blazing inferno washed over me I prepared my spell.
"Fire Spr...." Suddenly before I finished chanting the spell as if someone had popped a party popper a small smokescreen appeared in front of me, from it a tiny figure with wings appeared.
"Hey ther....!" (tiny fairy) *FWOOOOOOSH* "....Waaaah" I scream as I loose control over my spell.
My spell hit the tiny creature, its features instantly vaporizing within seconds but i still continue to keep firing even after its charred body hits the ground with a weak thud, it took me a few seconds until I regain myself and stop my spell.
"......"
a lone gust of wind blew past me, silence returned as I stared at the mess I had made, that once tiny fairy now lays as charred meat, since when did this ever happen? did I just kill the cute side companion, the one that every story focuses on when it requires the cute factor to rely on?
As if sensing the awkwardness the system didn't spare a moment before celebrating my "achievement".
"Well fuck" this was going to be a loooong day.

Authors note:
I've deleted the previous chapters, and replaced them with two new ones, (prologue and this one), I'll be releasing a few more in the next day, further chapters I can't guarantee, I want to see the reception to my writing style, if its too bland I'll correct it
