By the time TaeJean and the others had finished battling the trolls, Keshawna had nearly finished the training DVD. Lady Salem's A.I. was surprised at how fast the girl caught on. "Wow you're a natural!". Keshawna had maintained her Flow of Conceptual Energy during the entirety of the presentation.

  During Chapter 2, the magical hologram extended her influence to the room, creating layered circular rings on the floor, with various words projected in the air between them. Witcin the rings themselves were several words, obviously categorizing the floating words. The A.I. clone explained: "Behold, the layers of reality. It's like a calzone, the top and bottom being the same thing and they touch each other. This is the multi-layered programming language that forms all things. These are: spirit, logic, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, culture, spirit. All powers you could possibly obtain can be defined as one of these, even though they are all powered by your Conceptual Energy."

  Keshawna's eyes darted around the room. Lady Salem's A.I. could see the wheels turning in the girls head. "Any questions?" Keshawna simply nodded no.

  The screen changed again. "Well then next chapter. We covered this a while ago, but the property shifts. Now we learned about Property Enhancement, the most basic property shift. It boosts the aspects of things that come into contact with Conceptual Energy. But we also have Property Addition, Property Reduction, and Property Severance.

  Keshawna repeated the phrase. “Enhancement, Reduction, Addition and Severance. Got it. The names seem self explanatory”

  The hologram raised her left eyebrow. “ If so, explain." Keshawna: "If enhancement boosts a property, then reduction must lower it. Addition must add another property, and severance probably totally removes one." Lady Salem's A.I. whistled. "You catch on fast. You guessed all of them correctly."

  A new holographic projection appeared within the room. The image showed at the top the image of a soul. From it appeared a line that split and fanned out at the bottom, revealing 9 spokes. At the end of each spoke was a symbol and a three letter word. Lady Salem A.I.: "This is the Spiritual Potency Evolution Guide. This is a chart I developed to help Soul-Borgs grow their power faster. The circle at the top represents a specific ability, called a Potency. Around this circle are the mathematical symbols representing the Property Shifts. By using the property shifts in the correct distribution, you get the 9 Expressions of Power."

  The holographic A.I. clone continued. "Whenever you learn a new power, you can track your mastery of it by marking it on your chart. You should be able to picture it within your own soul, but if you wish to draw it that will work too. Now on to the expressions themselves." The 2-dimensional chart left the ground and became a 3-dimensional floating pole. Lady A.I.: "From left to right, the 9 expressions are:

  1) Stimulation. This is channeling Conceptual Energy through your body. 2) Blasting. The name is self explanatory. These are projectile spells. 3) Shaping. Changing the shape of ones power. 4) Channeling is the act of running your magic through an object, like a weapon. 5) Enchanting. Permanently imbuing magic into a mundane object. 6) Itemization. Creating a permanent object with your Conceptual Energy. 7) Projecting. Like Astral projecting, this skill involves creating an avatar out of your power. 8) Disrupting is imbuing your spell with properties that negate other properties. For example, if you made fire than can burn atomic bonds, then you would be able burn water. 9) Last but certainly not least, Over Writing. This is completely changing something or it's aspect. For example, if you could turn water into fire."

  Keshawna took mental notes. "This doesn't seem too hard," she said. Suddenly she heard the voices of the other teens as they entered the mansion. They spoke of their battles with the trolls. She spoke to Lady A.I. "Would you mind if I turned this off and came back later?" The A.I. clone responded. "You're almost done anyway. Come back whenever." Keshawna pressed to power button on the television then left her room.
