Velvet 1

The sun shone between the trees, illuminating a bench and the young girl who sat on top of it. The black-haired child slowly licked an ice cream cone, a gentle smile on her face. After finishing the cone, she sucked the remnants off her fingers, happiness shone in her eyes.

“Almost time,” she thought, glancing at the expensive watch that was fastened around her wrist.

She looked down a wooded pathway, following something with her eyes. With a large grin, she hummed to himself, watching the distant object approach.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Tires whirled as a bike sped down the path. A man was quickly approaching, prepared to bypass him.

As the man crossed in front of him, his head jerked backwards and he suddenly lost control of the bike. With a crash, both the body and bike flew, slamming into the ground.

The young girl chuckled, slowly climbing up from the bench. She pulled a pair of scissors from her pocket and walked towards the nearby trees. With a snip, an invisible wire was cut, falling to the ground.

  “Mission accomplished,” she laughed.
