I look back and forth across the hall before sprinting towards the bathroom pulling Grace alongside me. Reaching the bathroom I open the door and pull Grace inside, shutting and locking it behind us. "Are you ok?" I ask "I think so" she says shakily, "What were those things?" she asks me with big eyes. "Goblins" I say "Were those the first ones you've seen" I ask, she nods. "Where have you been the past hour" I ask her "well a while ago one of those things came into the room and everybody else rushed out of the botany lab screaming. I was to afraid so I hid behind a cabinet, I had thought it left so I came out from behind the cabinet and those 4 were in the doorway. And then you showed up and You know what happened from there." I nod at her in uderstanding.
"Status" I say
"Hey stay still for a minute"I say to Grace. "Wh why" she says backing away slowly. "I'm not gonna do anything just use a skill" I say "O Ok" she says hesitantly.
"Eye of the Beholder: Copy"
"Damnit" I swear." "Wh what's wrong" she says tensely, "Nothing the skill just failed" I say "let's just get some rest, you can have the sleeping bag." I say as I turn around and sit on the floor.
After nearly half an hour of laying there leaned against the wall I hear a noise and look over and Grace is sitting up. "Can't sleep?" I ask. She shakes her head, I get up and go over to her, as I sit down next to her she opens up the sleeping bag and I sit inside next to her. Turning towards her I hug her and I cradle her head on my shoulder. "Shh Shh " I say as she begins to cry again. "It's gonna be ok" I whisper into her ear as sleep overcomes her.
Looking down at her I once agan realised how beautiful she was. I realise I should keep watch but as I cradle her, I can't ?resist but to close my eyes and drift away to sleep.
Grace's Point of view
I feel warmth surrounding me as I wake up, I look up to see him, Daemon, cradling me in his arms as he rests. His body warming mine as I wonder who he really is, he acts normal other than the killing monsters part but I figure that will be normal as well all too soon, but he not only risked his life to save me, when I look into his eyes I see a great sadness supressed there, His piercing blue eyes "ahh" I sigh, although he isn't what most people would call handsome, he seems strangely appealing to the eyes, but maybe that's just hero worship, he did save me from those things I think as I shudder remembering our early encounter.
My shudder must have woken him because as my body calms his eyes start to open
Daemon's POV
I feel a small shudder run against my body as my eyes open, as I awake I see Grace before me her face red from the heat of the sleeping bag for a moment I thought she was blushing before I think better of it.
"Good Morning Grace" I say as I start to strech and get up. "G- Good morning Daemon" she says the red still present on her face, that's strange I think, hopefully she isn't getting sick.
"You hungry?" I ask her inquiringly."Y-Yeah she says" the red starting to fade from her face. "What do you want an apple,a granola bar, or a sandwich?" I ask her. "A granola bar's ok" she says, I nod as I pull out two granola bars, and hand her one of them.
I once again reach into my inventory but this time I pull out: my daggers, the spear, my gloves, and health potions one of which I store in my pocket. Turning towards Grace I hand her the spear and the extra health potion before showing her how to use "Inventory" and her "Status Menu", I equip the rest of the items and told her I would be gone a few hours and to lock the door behind me. "I'll knock 7 times for you to let me back in ok?" "Unh" she nods.

15 minutes later in the botany lab
Bringing out the corpse of the first two goblins I killed, I looked at them in disgust thinking about how they had gotten to be in this state
The Day Before, After killing the Frenzied Goblin Scout
Ok what should I do now, I'm Already finished resting but I don't wanna go back out there now...
"Well I guess I could, No I can't do that, but I kinda have to now don't I" I mutter arguing with myself then resigning myself to do this
"GUSH" I hear A large squirting noise as I start to cut the skin from the first goblin's body
"Huuh" I vomit on the floor at the sight of the disassembled corpse, before moving to the second corpse and repeating the process
Ding!
"Huuh" I vomit again as I finish storing the now disassembled corpses back into my inventory.
Present Time
I prepare to repeat myself once again except this time I hopefully won't puke.
Ding
"awso- huuh" I start to say before I puke again , "uh I'm so glad all I ate for breakfast was granola bar" I say looking at the mess on the floor
"Ok" I say storing all of the goblin parts except for the leather back in my inventory. Pulling out my "Shadow Iron Dagger" I start to scrape the remaining bits of flesh from the hide. Having cleaned the remaining flesh from the hide I start cutting 3 of the goblin hides into strips. I take out my thread and sewing needles and start to sew the strips into a frame that'll fit my body. Having sewed the strips into two frames I took the black leather from the Shadow Goblin and used a piece of it to cover the frames that go over the chest and sewed them down securely, cutting off two wide and long strips of red Frenzied Goblin Leather I sew them over the back of the frame to cover the spine. Cutting four pads and two short wide strips out of the last of the Shadow Goblin leather I use them To cover the shoulders and back of the neck part of the frame. Cutting the remaining Frenzied Goblin leather into strips I use them to wrap around the bottom of the armpits of the armor, before filling in the remaining spots in the frame with ordinary goblin leather. I lean back to survey he product of my work a screen pops up in front of me.
"snap" Goes my jaw as I close it from reading the description of the armor I created."Holy Shit" I say as my eyes widen in disbelief "I made ths?! Really?" I say. "Ok Daemon pull it together keep working" I say to myself as i reenter my inventory to pullout some Frenzied Goblin bones and Shadow Goblin sinews as well as some ordinary goblin leather and bone.
Using my "rusty iron dagger" I cut off the sides of the knobs on one end of each of the bones before using the file on the side of my Multi-Tool saw to file the end of each bone into a point and then using the screwdriver to drill four holes into the opposite end of each bone I use the sinews to tie them together and then drill holes near the top of each pointed end and string a rope made of sinew between the two holes and tie them off,
"Ok 2 down 1 to go." Taking 2 Shadow Goblin bones I trim ayay the excess of the bone nobs and file them down till their smooth. Taking a piece of thicker Frenzied Goblin bone I cut it down to a rough pointed cone and then file it smooth before cutting barbs into the bottom edges, and cutting 2 notches into the bottom of the spear head drilling holes into the notches until they connect before drilling a hole into the top of the 2 connected bones and tying them together with sinew. Then I take 4 long strips of bone and putting them on opposite sides I duct tape them down and add leather grips.
"Ok that's everything for now, I guess." I don my new soft armor and Unbarracade the door glancing black and forth across the hall and so running to the door I knocked 7 times. The door opened and there stood Grace with a worried look on her face scanning me, seeing I had no injuries her expression turned from one of worry to one of relief as she jumped into my arms, I barely catch myself from falling, but manage to grip the wall. The only problem is now grace is pinned to the wall under me, as I look at her rapidly reddening face my breathing grows rougher and louder, I start to lean my face towards hers before I remember where we are and what I saved her from yesterday, pulling myself back I set her down and look away.
"H- Here" I say as I take out her new armor and spear and hand it to her without looking at her face. "Th- Thank you"she says quietly. "Just let me rest a little then we can go searching for more of those things" I say. "Wh- wait look for them?!"she asks "Yes" I say "Why would we do that?" she asks her lips quivering and her eyes watery. Forgetting already what had just happen, I step forward and hug her "it's gonna be ok" I say as I hug her, "From what I've seen so far of our new world we're gonna need strength and this is how we have to get it" I say. At first she tenses up but then she hugs me back. Feeling her calm down I say come on lets go once you put your armor on.
"Umm" she says "yes" I say "hmhmhmhm" she mumbles "what, speak up" I say. "I I said I don't know how to put it on m- myself." she says her cheeks flushing rapidly
