Despite everything that happened which would leave fans of such a genre ecstatic, Jin found it tedious enough dealing with such a existence who could seemingly create entire worlds with ease that she could go drinking after like nothing happened.
Regardless of Vion's claim to not be a woman she looked woman enough for him to decide that the next time he sees her, he was definitely going to give her a smack on her plump rear. Repeatedly. Until either her ass or his hand broke first. 'Well, humans are creatures that need goals in life. Getting revenge on that giggling brat seems like a good enough target for the long term'
Returning his attention back towards his system, Jin looked at the collection of tabs. Remembering the letter mentioning hidden options and wondering what they were.
Eyeing each tab, the first choice seemed obvious enough to him. The downward arrow seeming to be the method to display more.
Everything seemed normal enough, until he checked again to make sure he wasn't imagining things. “Okay, being fourteen would explain my body is younger and thankfully I'm still a guy but why am I younger by half my age? Why is my potential set at unlimited? And why do I have Yin Release and Crystal Release? I remember Yin Release in Naruto was related to spiritual and imagination so I guess my old hobby of reading various novels and watching anime can explain that if imagination is keyed in.
I mean it's not like I'm the only one who dreamed of doing the stuff I saw for real or even making my own inside my head. But what the hell happened for me to get Crystal? Raven, do you know?”
“Ah, um, just call me Jin if you want, Raven.”
“.. I'm definitely going to hit her when I see her. Before the information on the releases, can you expain extra part behind the affinities?”
Jin sat there for a full minute to comprehend everything before cursing under his breath 'Damn information dumps. And this is most likely going to continue until I go through everything.' Giving a nod, he stared at the path that lead out of the forest. “So what about my potential? And where am I anyway?” Raven's answer coming as quickly as always, something he appreciated.
“...Is that sarcasm or are you seriously asking? Can you even do sarcasm?”
“...” Jin couldnt hold it in anymore and finally flipped his imaginary table in his mind while training his poker face the entire time. Even if both the system and its creator pissed him off, he wouldn't give them the satisfaction of a reaction. The more pissed he ended up getting the more calm his mentality became while promising to inflict pain on those two later when he was able.
Already having an idea of what to expect, Jin ignored Raven and it's attitude while checking the Ninjutsu option only to give pause at what he saw.
He only had access to the first two ranks of jutsu and among them, only Earth and Yin Release were avalible. Taking a moment to think about, the answer was pretty simple. The Ninjutsu only gave him access to what was within his level of ability and affinities. If he wasted time learning a jutsu he had no affinity for, compared to one within that could also strengthen his affinities, he'd take way too long to reach his goals. Though the fact even E Rank jutsu cost 5-SP for basic techniques while D Ranks cost twice as much bothered him, he couldn't help but hope it wasn't a trend even if it meant jinxing himself.
Nodding to himself, he moved on for now to look at the other tabs in the system. Yet no matter how many times he tried, the store wouldn't open. Trying the others, the same happened for Storage and Contracts with only the Mission tab opening.
“Raven, how come only the Status, Ninjutsu and Mission tabs? And wasn't there a beginner package?”
Giving a half shrug while shaking his head, Jin couldn't really bring himself to care about gambling options like this if he couldn't rig the game in his favor. If it wasn't for the fact he needed something to protect himself with, he wouldn't bother with such a GATCHA item. “Open it, if you'd be so kind.” Jin himself heading towards the city.
Feeling two slips of paper appear in his pocket along with a small box that barely fit in his palm, Jin gave Raven the go-ahead to unseal the box before asking about the bloodline. After placing the talismans aside for the moment, the first thing he saw was a note on top of a smooth red cloth. Picking up the note first to read as he walked.
|| I warmed them myself, perfect for you. -Vion ||
Already getting a bad feeling, Jin examined the warm cloth again while gingerly picking it up as if it might explode at the slightest jolt. Given that anything involving that entity would certainly be trouble, and her abilities shown so far, his caution wouldn't be considered odd despite the mission that seemed to want him safe. Then again, she did rip his soul from his old body after drugging him so, he felt reasonable.
After lifting the cloth completely, he almost fell face first into the dirt. The sheer absurdity of the item the cause of a near accident making Jin finally roar out loud. Another prank the gods play on mortals.
“WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE PERFECT FOR ME?!?!?!?! THEY'RE F***ING PANTIES!”
