Eight years old and learning martial arts
With the system, Lin Heng's learning speed has clearly accelerated. Of course, this rapidity is only his own feeling. In Ping Yizhi's view, his learning is not accelerating, but rather he understands and infers more. This can be seen from his questions. Previously, when Ping Yizhi asked questions, Lin Heng would only answer with what he had been taught, but now Lin Heng can say some things on his own, although these things are given by the system, Ping Yizhi doesn't know that, and naturally thinks they are Lin Heng's.
Lin Heng's performance delighted Ping Yizhi, who became even more convinced of Lin Heng's talent and began to teach him new things. However, this lesson ended with Ping Yizhi raising his ruler and severely beating Lin Heng.
It turns out that Lin Heng's golden finger was not powerful enough after all. His medical system only involved the things he had learned, just like the foundation at the beginning. He finished learning the system and it opened up, but later on, Lin Heng learned new things. However, if the system determined that what you learned was not complete, then the system would not provide a space for learning, because the data was not complete, and could not provide a space for learning, so everything had to rely on Lin Heng himself.
This also made Lin Heng, who had suddenly become clever again, return to his previous state. Although it wasn't bad, it was far inferior to the clever Lin Heng. Ping Yi naturally wanted to beat him up. However, only Lin Heng himself knew what was going on, so he could only smile bitterly, still smiling bitterly.
This system is really disappointing!
So, Lin Heng returned to his previous study routine, which was memorizing and reciting, doing everything that Ping Yizhi required. At night, he would enter systematic learning of disease diagnosis, fortunately, this aspect only required a foundation.
Before long, two years had passed. These two years were a difficult period for Lin Heng. Almost every day was spent reciting books, and the various types of medicinal materials nearly drove him mad. Fortunately, he persisted, and Ping Yi Zhi also spared no effort in guiding him, allowing Lin Heng to avoid being completely buried in his books.
In two years, Lin Heng memorized many famous Chinese medical classics such as Huangdi Neijing, Shanghan Lun, Qianjin Fang, Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing and Ben Cao Gang Mu. These works covered several hundred kinds of medicinal materials. Although these things were quite disorganized, Lin Heng still managed to remember them all. When he reached a certain level, the system finally gave him some power again. Now his studies have yielded results in terms of drug treatment, involving some of the medicinal materials he had studied, but only part of them, not all.
He paid special attention and found that the system began to change after he finished studying the five elements of human body therapy. For traditional Chinese medicine, the human body is a whole, and so is the treatment, with the five elements being the foundation. It's absolutely not enough to just learn one aspect, it's like what modern people say, "lack what and supplement what", that's absolutely not feasible. Only by learning the complete system can one truly understand. Fortunately, this completeness is not absolute, having a basic understanding is enough, otherwise Lin Heng would have gone crazy.
With the help of the system, Lin Heng became a genius again, and Ping Yizhi was also delighted. Just today, the delighted Ping Yizhi decided to teach Lin Heng martial arts.
When it comes to learning martial arts, Lin Heng got excited. It's interesting to say that during these four years of study, except for the beginning when he always thought about learning martial arts, later on, he didn't have time to think about it and instead focused his mind on studying and reading books. If you weren't in ancient times, you might not be able to imagine what learning was like back then. For modern people, the way ancient people learned is simple because they only needed to memorize books. But if you think about it the other way around, this memorization isn't just about reciting something and then forgetting it, but rather about remembering it forever.
Confucius said: Review the old and know the new! In ancient times, when others recited texts to you, you couldn't look up books, and knowledgeable people could definitely keep up. Those who couldn't were unqualified. Therefore, memorization in ancient times meant remembering for a lifetime, without forgetting. This is different from modern times, and it can also be seen that learning in ancient times was not simple.
This is Lin Heng's experience over the past four years.
Now that things are back on track, Lin Heng can finally learn martial arts and he's naturally thrilled. He doesn't even want to think about the hardships of learning martial arts because all he can think about now is flying around with his newfound skills.
Unfortunately, this excitement did not last for three days.
The first day of learning martial arts, Ping Yizhi let Lin Heng run and then exercise his leg strength and arm strength. Everything was like modern sports, and the task was not heavy, so he persisted very simply.
The next day was no exception, and Lin Heng became slightly impatient.
On the third day, it was still like this. Lin Heng felt that he was about to go crazy. He wasn't unaware of the importance of basics, but he hoped to obtain the legendary internal energy, yet Ping Yi Zhi refused to teach him these things.
Lin Heng wanted to rebel and show off, because he knew that Ping Yi was afraid of his wife. This fear wasn't due to love, but rather the strong influence of Wang Lan's family. However, after careful consideration, he gave up and decided to work hard on his cultivation, as he thought of his mother's death.
Four years have passed, and he who has been studying hard rarely thinks of his mother except at the beginning. Now that he has started learning martial arts, he has more free time and naturally starts to think about things from the past. Thinking of his mother now, he knows that he cannot let her down, cannot make her die without peace of mind, so he holds back all the words he wants to say, doing everything according to Pingyi's instructions.
Martial arts are actually very simple. To put it bluntly, at the beginning, it's just about training your body. Once you're strong enough, you can start cultivating internal energy. After internal energy is cultivated, it's about opening up your meridians. It sounds like three easy steps, but in reality, it's not that simple to achieve. Not to mention other things, just the physical training alone is enough to make people feel bored and give up. Without external supervision, a modern person, especially an otaku, would find it really hard to complete.
Lin Heng had Ping Yizhi's supervision, and every time he relaxed, he would be scolded by Ping Yizhi, so he had to work hard. It was this kind of supervision that urged him to cultivate himself.
Fortunately, Ping Yizhi was not only strict, you saw that at night, Ping Yizhi would let Lin Heng take a medicinal bath. This is probably the benefit of having a doctor as a master.
Medicinal herbs and martial arts are complementary to each other. A martial artist will inevitably get injured, so medicinal herbs are their frequent companion. A good doctor not only knows how to use medicinal herbs to treat injuries but also utilizes the medicinal properties of herbs to fortify a warrior's body, washing their meridians and marrow. Although Pingyi may not be able to reach the level of washing meridians and marrow, he can still use medicinal herbs to help Lin Heng recover his physical strength, allowing him to be vigorous and energetic again by the next day.
Lin Heng has been training his body for half a year. After half a year, he had something new in his practice, which was the horse stance. To be honest, Lin Heng had never longed for the horse stance before. In the past, he thought that the horse stance was just the beginning because many people wrote it that way, but now he knew that the horse stance was the start of practicing internal energy, not the start of practicing martial arts.
Now that I've started practicing Zha Ma Bu, am I still far from practicing Qi?
So Lin Heng was delighted and also gained motivation for his cultivation.
Zama step, Lin Heng also understood it before, but his understanding is absolutely superficial. In fact, for most people, their understanding is superficial, because Zama step is not that simple. First of all, you need to know that it's divided into five steps, and how many people know this point?
Lin Heng didn't know that, he only knew it through Ping Yi's explanation, and it was precisely because of this that he understood the importance of the Zama step.
A warrior practices his breath, what is this breath? This breath is not an empty thing, it is the vital energy of the human body, that is to say, the essence of blood and pulse. But how can one's blood and pulse essence gather in one place? This must be achieved through the practice of horse-riding stance.
The first step of Zha Ma Bu is to adapt, the second to fifth steps are to practice strength, where the strength refers to the force exerted on oneself, that is, compressing one's own blood essence and letting them automatically gather in the Dan Tian Qi Hai. (Ma Bu Baidu has it, so I won't introduce it much, friends who are interested can go take a look.)
Only then will internal strength be born.
Zama step is also a long-term kung fu, especially for children. You need to know that the blood and energy of children are not too strong, and when they gather together, it's easy to get hurt if you're not careful, so you must be careful when practicing. Compared to children, young people find it easier to practice, especially those who are 17 or 18 years old. At this age, the body has basically grown up, and there is no need to worry about leaving hidden injuries. However, correspondingly, the potential for practicing at this age is obviously not as great as when they were younger.
Of course, if you are older, it will be more difficult to cultivate, even if your energy and blood are strong at that time, it will be troublesome to gather together, unless you have a good opportunity.
Lin Heng was a man with good karma, for he had crossed over and also had a golden finger. Just as he finished learning the horse stance, his golden finger gave him another boost. On the screen in front of him, the button with the words "Adjust" lit up. Lin Heng chose to enter at the first opportunity. Here, Lin Heng learned about the capabilities of this system.
Regulation, in relation to the medical system, is first and foremost about regulating the host's body. Practicing martial arts will inevitably lead to injuries for the practitioner, some of which may be hidden and not noticeable to the practitioner, but this regulatory system can detect them. However, this regulatory system only provides problems and solutions, as for the process in between, that requires your own effort, which is also one of the reasons why medicine is included in the system.
The adjustment system also has the ability to adjust the method of work.
What does martial arts cultivation depend on? Innate talent and martial arts skills. Innate talent is self-evident, just look at Qiao Feng and you'll understand its importance. In Tian Long Ba Bu, Qiao Feng is absolutely one of the top masters, in terms of combat power, except for Sweeper Monk, he's almost number one, but his age? Around thirty, that's innate talent. Of course, you might say martial arts skills, but apart from the Dragon Subduing Eighteen Palms and the Capturing Dragon Skill, what other good martial arts skills does Qiao Feng have? It's worth noting that these two martial arts skills aren't some high-level internal energy skills, compared to Beiming and Dou Zhuan, they're not much worse. The internal energy he cultivates is at most excellent level, it's precisely this reason that his internal energy isn't weaker than anyone else, this is the reason for innate talent.
Then comes martial arts, a set of excellent martial arts that will definitely save practitioners a lot of practice time. The most obvious one is the Northern Profound Divine Technique. Just look at Duan Yu and you'll know what I mean.
The adjustment system, naturally, does not adjust a person's innate talent, but rather adjusts the martial arts. The introduction to the adjustment system says that what is suitable for oneself is the best, and the adjustments it provides are meant to make the techniques conform to the host's own body. Take the "Zama Step" for example, the adjustment system provided subtle adjustments and told Lin Heng that if he followed the actions given by the system, he would absolutely accelerate the gathering of internal energy. However, the system also said that since the host's body was still young, the daily practice time should not exceed one hour, and suggested using other times to exercise the body, strengthen the blood and Qi, and solidify the foundation.
The system's statement is absolutely good, Lin Heng looked at it and felt a headache, but he also had to seriously consider it.
First, the Zama given by the system is very suitable for oneself, it can make oneself quickly gather internal power, but at the same time, this method makes oneself quickly gather internal power, but the foundation is slightly worse, after all, the cultivation time is shorter. This is probably the reason why the system suggests a limited time. And finally, exercising the body isn't solidifying the foundation?
These are all good suggestions, but Lin Heng's headache is whether he can quickly cultivate his internal strength. The former takes a long time to cultivate internal strength, and the latter is not short either, after all, the cultivation time is less.
"Alas! I'd better listen to the system after all... it's Golden Finger, isn't it?" With a smack of his lips, Lin Heng made his decision after some hesitation.
