Volume One Arc 01 Terrarium Chapter 002: The Dungeon Sprite And The Dungeon Tutorial Quest

Volume One Arc 01 Terrarium Chapter 002: The Dungeon Sprite And The Dungeon Tutorial Quests

"He-yo! Rise and shine, sleepy head. Allen, I'm talking to you! You got to wake up, bro! You idiot lazy bum!" The sounds of a childlike male voice could distinctively be heard entering through one side of Allen Walter's ear and then exciting through the other.

The unknown talking entity then suddenly drew much closer towards the now currently unconscious and sleeping Allen Walter's current location, until it is just literally right up next to his ear.

Without warning, the unknown entity then began to shout right into sleeping unconscious Allen Walter's left ear up close. "He-yo! It's time to wake up, sleepy head!"

Like a sudden bolt of lightning, the closed eyes of the currently sleeping Allen Walter then suddenly jolted wide open in surprised. "I'm up! I'm up! So stop yelling at me, David!" He loudly exclaimed, whilst shouting out the name of his younger brother in great annoyance.

However, what greeted the woken up Allen Walker was the unexpected sight of a chibi version of him. Roughly around 7-9 cm in body length and height, around the average size of a male adult fists. His own personal self guidance dungeon sprite.

"And, No! I am not your younger brother David. Well, I am basically you, at the same time, I am not. I am a pivotal point of your well-being that is interconnected with you being chosen as a Dungeon Master. You nincompoop..." The Dungeon Sprite said so towards the awestruck and somewhat confused Allen Walter.

The dumbstruck Allen Walter then slowly tilted his own head to the side in confusion, as he then asked for the identity of the Dungeon Sprite. "If you are not David then who in the hell are you, huh?"

The Dungeon Sprite's eyes then lightly shimmers, revealing a hidden glint of interest. As he then points towards the direction of the ambient floating dungeon core on top of the stone pedestal, located at the centre of this 3×3 m stone cave room, with his tiny chibi like hands.

The Dungeon Sprite who exactly resembles Allen Walter but in chibi form then said this to him. "I am basically the manifestation of the dungeon core crystal's own sub-consciousness, a sort of artificial intelligence that was created in order to help and aid the Dungeon Master of this unnamed dungeon, which is yourself. And I have all of your own memories up till now, but no soul and an actual physical body. So I'm basically a ghost or spirit that is haunting you."

'Oh, that's pretty cool.' Allen Walter thought so to himself, slightly impressed over what he just heard.

"You know that since I'm an interpersonal part of you, I can basically hear all of your internal thoughts and maybe monologing." The Dungeon Sprite said so towards Allen Walter.

"Oh..." Allen Walter was certainly at a lost for words to say.

However, the Dungeon Sprite then suddenly interjected himself, way before Allen Walter could even start off saying a proper sentence. "If that said dungeon core crystal on top of the stone pedestal over there were to ever be destroyed, then I would certainly ceased to exist. I would then be immediately killed. A Dungeon Sprite could not survive by itself without the existence of the dungeon. The dungeon core crystal is the actual heart and brains of the dungeon..."

"Whilst, at the same time, if the Dungeon Master were to ever die, then they could literally expend some few dungeon points in order to revive itself or thereby build itself a new body from mere scratch. However, if the dungeon core heart is to ever be destroyed, then the life of the Dungeon Master will then likely be spared. Not without actual serious consequences, as the Dungeon Master would thereby lose a major piece of his/her soul, thereby making it incomplete and unstable. So it is quite impossible to reincarnate oncee again. So if they were to die then they would permanently ceased to exist like their Dungeon Sprite mini counterpart." The Dungeon Sprite said so with all seriousness, trying to get the important message across. So that the newly appointed Dungeon Master Allen Walter could seriously understand.

'Well, that is certainly a lot of information to take in and process things.' The Dungeon Master Allen Walter thought so to himself, whilst scratching the back of his neck in nervousness.

The Dungeon Sprite then responded backwards toward the Dungeon Master Allen Walter. "Well, I've always got plenty of time in the world. Though, I'm not sure that you would have the luxury to be lazy and quite well relaxed right now, Dungeon Master."

"In all seriousness, what do you mean lil' me?" The newly appointed Dungeon Master Allen Walter said so towards his Dungeon Sprite, as all of his momentarily nervousness then vanished, only to be replaced with a look of seriousness.

"Well, as you can see. If you can have a quick look at your entire surroundings. You can steadily see by the empty 3×3 meters cave room that your dungeon core heart is quite defenseless, out in the open, so that any sort of creature could just easily walk into the cave room and just simply destroy your own dungeon core heart, as easily as knocking a simple vase over." The Dungeon Sprite said so towards the Dungeon Master Allen Walter, whilst trying to lead the trail of the conversation toward something.

"Well, what do you want me to do then, I'm pretty much still new to this whole dungeon master thing. And I've never onced played Dungeon And Dragons before, but I can simply inferred, and just make some random guesses and assumptions based upon the dungeon stories that I've read; {Mystery of the Dungeon(by VRDraco}{Rise of the Dungeon(by Zolfaghar}{WTF, I'm a Dungeon!(by Sir Nil}, etc." The Dungeon Master Allen Walter said so towards his own Dungeon Sprite.

The Dungeon Sprite then smiles and smirks at the somewhat confused Dungeon Master Allen Walter. "Well I've already anticipated this sort of situation beforehand, as this is the reason and purpose that a Dungeon Sprite was created in the first place to help their Dungeon Master and creator."

Afterwards, without saying another word, the Dungeon Sprite then simply clicks the tiny chibi fingers of his, and a tiny virtual blue display screen interface then immediately appears in front of him.

The tiny virtual blue display screen interface panel that was originally the size of an average deck of playing cards then rapidly grew to the size of 12 to 13 inches, before appeared floating in front of the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's figure. Kind of like a futuristic sci-fi interface display panel that you commonly seen in sci-fi movies and films.

  Ding!

The sounds of the dungeon system notification ringing withinside the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's head.

'Well, that seems simple enough of an easy task for the first dungeon tutorial quest. And what's DP?' The Dungeon Master Allen Walter thought so to himself, as he then turns to look in his Dungeon Sprite's particular direction.

The Dungeon Sprite simply shakes his chibi head and shoulders, as he said this. "Well, there is really no need for me to certainly explain to you about anything, as you would certainly learn about them and be taught by them as you automatically progresses through the dungeon tutorial questing system."

'Seeing as how my own Dungeon Sprite is actually not saying anything, and steadily wants me to learn some stuff by myself then it must not actually be that important.' The Dungeon Master Allen Walter thought so to himself.

Whilst, following the simplest of instructions steadily provided by the system, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then recited the keyword 'Open Dungeon Interface' withinside his own head, in order to automatically summon up the dungeon interface panel. A second, a blue virtual dungeon interface display panel then later appears in front of him.

  Ding!

The sounds of the dungeon system notification ringing withinside the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's head, and a blue virtual display screen panel then later appeared in front of him, thereby showcasing the completion of the first dungeon tutorial quest.

'Well, there is really no more further need of an explanation, as everything has already been explained withinside the dungeon tutorial quest objective already. As I have to do is to quickly accomplish the task and then move on towards the next dungeon tutorial quest tasks.' The Dungeon Allen Walter thought so to himself, as he then lightly presses upon the [Dungeon Lord Status Screen] option of the dungeon main interface panel.

'Hmm...' The Dungeon Master Allen Walter thought so to himself.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

He then thought of something to himself, 'Well, if I really have to choose right now, then the best option at this current moment in time would be to steadily increase my intelligence attribute stat. As a higher intelligence stats would means that I am able to make a far more advance and complex decisions, with logical reasonings, deductions, and some discerning skills. Otherwise, I won't be able to when I'm dumb...'

After which, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then lightly presses upon the plus sign (+) right next to intelligence attribute stats value of his Dungeon Lord Status Screen stats/attribute section, three times. In which the dungeon system then responded by asking the Dungeon Master Allen Walter confirmation of whether he would to steadily continue with this procedure.

Without hesitation, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then immediately presses upon the [Proceed] button, of the current blue virtual display screen interface panel in front of him.

A second later, after having received the input data of the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's decision. The current blue virtual display screen interface panel then immediately vanishes, only to be replaced with another completely new.

Warmth light particles then began to gradually enveloped the Dungeon Master's Allen Walter's body momentarily, as he instinctively felt like in some way or form, like how he suddenly gotten a little bit smarter, but he couldn't just quite right placed his finger on top of it. It's only just a sort of feeling, nothing actually physically changing. So it's not something worth noticing.

  Ding!

The sounds of the dungeon system notification ringing withinside the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's head, and a blue virtual display screen panel then later appeared in front of him, thereby showcasing the completion of the second dungeon tutorial quest and some other achievements.

"Oh, that is pretty interesting how you choose to increase your own Intelligence Attribute Stats over the rest of the other different Attribute Stats." The Dungeon Sprite said so, commenting upon the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's most recent choice of action.

This somehow got the Dungeon Master Allen Walter's interest piqued, as he then begun to have some doubts upon his most recent past decision. "Why? Is there something wrong with the decisions that I've made literally up till this very point?" He asked his own Dungeon Sprite a question.

The Dungeon Sprite then shakes his own head in accordance to the answer that he was about to give. "No! You've pretty much made a wise choice and a good decision so far, but what you don't instead realize is that the actions you've committed now can have a detrimental effect later on down the line. It's kind of like how you've instead increased your Intelligence Attribute Stats Value to 10."

"Not many people would noticed this initially when young, but as they grow more older and experienced that the first attribute stats to have reached 10 or above would then allow for them to gained 1 stats growing modifier skill. With the Intelligence, Wisdom, Willpower, and Spirit being the most important of them all and the most difficult to increase, as they then determined the rate of the individual's control over magic, mana recovery rate, and any other aspect of learning." The Dungeon Sprite said so towards the newly enlightened Dungeon Master Allen Walter.

The Dungeon Sprite then readily continues upon with his speech. "For a newly appointed Dungeon Master, the {Lesser Intelligence Up}{Lesser Wisdom Up}{Lesser Willpower Up}{Lesser Spirit Up} are quite important, as they all determined the rate of the user's mana recovery rate. Mana can instead be used to convert into DP, or Dungeon Points. Dungeon Points are the currency in which the Dungeon Masters used to build, modify, and create dungeons. Whilst, at the same time, to be used to summon creatures or beings from another world, create stuff from nothing, or modify an existing creature or being for a particular purpose."

"The wide range and options of how to utilize Dungeon Points are quite numerous. Essentially, withinside the comforts and the confines of your own particular dungeon. You are basically a God." The Dungeon Sprite said so, whilst giggling like an excited child, as he then finishes his speech.

'Well, going by that analogy that Dungeon Masters are basically Gods are not that farfetched. It's basically similar to the principle of how the Game Master of the Dungeon & Dragons game are a god-like being who can steadily manipulate the boardgame to his/her whimsical whims, or then make some otherwise changes or many altercations to the direct storyline progression like a storyboard writer.' The enlightened Dungeon Master Allen Walter thought so to himself.

Without a further need of an explanation to explain anything, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then immediately opens up his dungeon main interface panel, before immediately going for the Dungeon Lord Status Screen option like he just did previously.

After which, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then steadily hovers his hand right over the Wisdom Attribute Stats Value, before outright making up the decision upon the spot to then invest 100 DP into increasing the stats attribute value by 1 point.

He then lightly presses upon the (+) right next to the Wisdom Attribute Stats Value of his Dungeon Lord's Stats/Attributes section of his Dungeon Lord Status Screen, before holding onto it for a couple of seconds, until another blue virtual display screen interface panel then immediately pops up appearing right in front of him.

In which, the Dungeon Master Allen Walter then immediately set the numerical value of the newly popup virtual blue display interface screen panel to +1.

Without haste, immediately afterwards, the dungeon system then responded by asking the Dungeon Master Allen Walter for his confirmation of whether he would to like to then continue upon with the procedure.
