Chapter 15

The men arrived back at their base, and it was already night. The men were ready to go to sleep, and wait for the next day's mission when they woke up. They ate dinner and slept, until the next day.

The night had passed like the blink of an eye for the men. They walked out of their dorms, and ate breakfast. It was the same meal, and they did not care for it. They didn’t care for anything they ate.

The mission today would be much easier than yesterdays, and the next day they would rest, for they had a big mission the day after that. They were only worried about their current mission for today though.

The mission was to take control of a small area of land that had been stolen from the company days beforehand. The mission was out of the blue for the team, as they were planning on resting that day, and doing the mission that was already planned the next day, but they still didn’t mind.

The men loaded onto the armored vehicles they had used for their first mission. The men brought the same gear as the first mission, their assault rifle, a knife, a pistol, and full black clothing with no protection. This was because of the fact that the mission was less dangerous, and easier.

The main plan was to secure the area by ‘removing’ the guards stationed there by who captured the area of the desert. Then they would capture any hire-up’s for information, and take all of the resources they could, which would be another group's job, as they were mainly a combat platoon.

The tires screeched once more, and the car revved its engines, and they were on their way. The car's tires scratched against the dirt floor, and bumped on the floor, full of hills.

The cars had reached their destination, and the mission was going to be started, and very easily completed. They gripped their assault rifles tightly, and treaded lightly on the barrier that the company who took the area captive had set up. They had pliers to make a hole in the fence, and breach it.

They used the pliers, and shut them down, and pulled back. The wire in the fence was swiftly cut, and they continued. They made a hole in the fence that was around 7 feet. They walked quietly into the fenced off area, hoping no one would see them.

Their outfit was bad for this occasion, and time however. They were quickly spotted by a guard, who held an assault rifle. He immediately pointed it at them, ready to shoot. He pulled the trigger, but missed. Everyone there had dodged the bullets, and the captain was running in to attack the guard.

He swiftly dodged the man's bullets, and continued running. The distance was getting cut down in seconds, and he grabbed his pistol, and pointed it at the man. Not needing anything from the guard, he shot his pistol, the bullet flying through the air.

At the campsite where the people who took over the area were, there was commotion. They had heard the bullets, and were afraid. They had no clue what to do, and thought that someone had come to take the property back. The higher-up stationed there was having none of it. He called out all of the guards. He was going to try to defend the land they had stolen.

The men quickly got to the campsite, where dozens of rows of guards stood still, guns loaded with ammo and pointed at the men, ready to shoot. The man in charge promoted a deal with the platoon to make sure nobody got hurt, but before he could finish, the captain told everyone to shoot. Guns started firing, and bullets were flying through the air.

Many people were dying but none of the platoon members. The guns soon ran out of ammo, but not quick enough, as all of the guards were dead. There was a group of the higher-ups left, along with the man who made this plan in the first place.

The only other people were the ones who had stayed in the tents and hid. This was a bad decision for them, as they should have tried to run, but chose wrong. The platoon members shot the tents, killing everybody inside of them. This was their victory, and they could return back to the base now.

The captives were taken into the captain's car, and sat in the backseat with the captain, to keep them extremely secure. They reached the base quickly, and handed over the captives to their company, and went to bed after eating dinner.

The next day they rested, training their aim, lifting weights, and reading books. They didn’t want to waste any time, and instead wanted to do something in that extra time. Some played sports in different areas around the base.

They went to sleep that night much more prepared than the night before, as the next mission would be tomorrow, and they had to be ready. If they weren’t ready, there could be dire consequences.
