Chapter 14 Curse’s Conditions

  Confused by Kailey's assertion, Aleshia sat down on a seat near the table to mull over what Kailey just said. After a while of contemption she asked Kailey, "What kind of curse has been pced upon you, and what effects has it had on you?"

  Kailey hearing Aleshia's words hesitantly answered her question, "I don't know what kind of curse was pced on me, but what I do know is that it rapidly consumes my mana and energy, and I must manually maintain the mana so that it can flow throughout me instead of dispersing into the void."

  After learning about the curse's effect on Kailey, Aleshia further questioned her about the specific drawbacks of not maintaining control over her mana flow.

  After a momentary pause for thought, Kailey responded, "If I don't manually control the output of my mana, I will experience something that I like to call mana deprivation, this condition leaves me weak and frail. When I am deprived of my mana my body feels like it's being covered in thick mud. When I try to move my limbs it feels like I am wadding through mud while wearing heavy iron armor."

  While Kailey was compining about her curse, Aleshia wrote down the effects of the curse using the chalk made from the fkes of Kailey's soul. After listening to Kailey's rant for a while, Aleshia began highlighting the effects that she recognized from other curses such as [Mana Influx], [Binding], [Mana Asphyxiation], and so on and so forth.

  Thinking of a way to help mitigate or cure the curse, Aleshia began formuting a framework of Kailey's curse. While pondering a hypothesis for Kailey's curse, Aleshia faintly heard some arming remarks made by Kailey: "I have noticed that it's becoming increasingly difficult to manually control the mana within my body. The sensation of mana flowing through me is weakening, possibly due to the regurity with which I manipute it. I am also afraid that if I can't find a way to cure this curse, my life force will leave my body instead if I can't hold onto the mana naturally produced inside my body."

  After hearing Kailey say something so terrifying that it sent shivers down Aleshia's spine, Aleshia immediately went over to her and gently pced a comforting hand on her head. Moved by Kailey's plight, Aleshia felt a renewed sense of determination to find a solution to the curse that tormented Kailey.
