(before you start reading i wanna say i am DEEPLY sorry for the lack of puncuation and SO many typo's this story was originally meant for my eyes only and I've only recently decided to upload it online please forgive me) A young boy wakes up in a hospital bed he feels weak every movement of his body is agonizing he glances to his right. seeing a metal food trey he weakly reaches for it and as he does he sees his reflection. he looks unrecognizable his hair was now a pale white his eyes a deep crimson he tried to comment on his own appearance but he somehow bit his tongue he opened his mouth to find his teeth were slightly sharper he was incredibly confused eventually he begins to remember and we are taken to a flashback we see our protagonist lounging on the couch watching a commercial for some company named "burhex" earlier that day we can see that he used to have black hair and hazel eyes and was a bit skinny not much muscle on him suddenly a blonde girl with a small stature flicks him on the forehead "Damn it Eli i told you not to sit on your ass all day!" the girl exclaims our protagonist Eli rubs his forehead in slight pain "sasha what the hell? its a weekend what do you want from me?!" eli asks irritated sasha quickly replies "how about you get off your ass and go get us some food! mom and dad are gonna be gone on that buisness trip for got knows how long so we're on our own" eli rolls his eyes "alright fine. but you didnt have to do that stupid flicking thing" eli gets up a leaves for his room to get dressed. but we are left with sasha she sits on the couch and wonders to herself "maybe i was a little too mean..." she worries to herself as she bites her nails her blue eyes seem to twinkle in the sunlight we are then brought to Eli's room where we find him getting dressed as he does we see his laptop screen talking about some government sanctioned superhero team they're said to not have a name yet. eli shuts his laptop off and grabs his phone and heads back down stairs "hey sasha what were you thinking about getting DruBuger?" he asked "yeah sure anything" she replied with that eli left and closed the door behind him

  we then see eli walking on the street as he checks his phone he spots a girl leaving the house on the very right of his the previous owners had moved out and it looks like he had new neighbors now "huh...i wonder when they moved in" eli thinks to himself the Girl beautiful purple hair it was almost like a night sky full of stairs even her eyes looked like a galaxy..the girl wore a scarf that covered her mouth and a little of her nose she doesnt notice eli and eli stops taking notice of her and goes back to checking his phone they both walk past eachother going in opposite directions. after a while eli makes his way to DruBurger and stands in line to order just as he's about to order two makes men with guns enter the store and shoot in the air "EMPTY THE FUCKING REGISTER!" one of the men exclaims aiming his gun at a clerk that was in eli's general direction "who even robs a fast food place in broad daylight?!" one of the clerks exlaims one of the men shoots in the clerks direction making the clerk begin to empty the register while eli and the rest of the customers tried to avoid the robbers suddenly some unknown vigilante in a skin tight suit enters the joint one of the robbers tries to shoot the vigilante but he moves out of the way in an attempt of escaping one of robbers grabs eli and puts the gun to his head "dont even try anything kid!" the vigilante is forced to stop in his tracks "woah there let the kid go" the vigilante says trying to sound calm in eli's mind he worries "what in the hell is going on right now! shit...if i dont get home sahsa's gonna kill me. then again..i have a gun to my head.." he says to himself. after a moment of hesitation eli elbows the robber and grabs his gun a hits him on the head with the but of it the second robber points his gun eli but the vigilante knocks him out "woah kid nice one!" the vigilante says clearly surprised and impressed "thanks i guess but i really need my food" eli turns to the clerk "whatever you want kid hell its on the house" eli looks at the clerk surprised and a little flattered and becuase of that gets embarrased "uh...thanks" he quickly orders his food but just then the vigilante notices some of the government allowed heroes heading to the fast food place "crap gotta go guys stay safe! you too kid!" he runs off. after getting his food. eli himself slips away quickly not wanting to get questioned by the heroes and held back any longer than he wants to..as he walk he thinks to himself "that...was something...i dont blame that vigilante for bolting though. ever since the government banned all vigilantes from working and only allowing heroes who signed up for that government thingy vigilantes have had to be a lot more secretive..i just home the government knows what there doing." eli spots the girls again this time entering her house. this time they finally notice each other but what sounds like her mother calls her inside. and eli manages to hear it.."kiko" they look at each other for a second but eli opens the door to his house and enters. "eli what the hell took you so long" sahsa asked "oh the place got robbed" "WHAT?!" sahsa exlaims in worry and runs up to eli checking for injuries "jeez I'm fine your so over protective" sahsa punches him in the arm "why the hell didnt you call me and tell me what happend?!" "chill out it wasnt a big deal!" the chapter ends with a shot of the house outside and the two teenagers arguing

  the next morning Eli wakes up rubbing his eyes his vision slightly blurring he gets up and is shirtless it was quite cold last night "why did i sleep without a shirt i could've damn well caught a cold" he looks outside the window and notices it must've rained outside last night he sits at his desk and turns his laptop on when suddenly a small spark of electricity shocks him "Ow what the f- ah crap the power must've went out while it was raining! oh please tell me this thing works!" he turns the laptop on successfully "oh thank god" he says thankfully he gets up and starts getting dressed for school "it was a fun weekend while it lasted i guess" he gets a message from his friend lee. eli reminisces about his freindship with lee how he was always the more confident and out going and now lee was the jock while eli was kind of a nerd but not the typical nerd you'd say. eli picks the phone up to see what lee was saying "hey buddy you up yet imma wait outside the school gate for ya alright? oh and i got smth to tell ya about when you get here you wont beleive it!" eli replies with a thumbs up and heads down stairs only to see that sahsa already left before him and left breakfast with note on it "im not wasting my time waking you up. eat. and get to school" eli rolls his eyes he takes the tuppawear with him and slings his backpack over his shoulder as he leaves he sees kiko still with that scarf around her neck entering her mom's car. eli doesnt pay much mind to her and eats while he walks to school a few minutes go by and he see's a billboard commercial encouraging "Evolved" persons to become a government sanctioned superhero if they're powers allow them to as eli reads the word evolved he thinks back to when he was a kid "man it all seems like yesterday i was only 8 when people found out about evolved people it was all over the news there was this golden light in the sky it was 7 at night and it made it seem like day time there was this huge meteor it looked so weird. atleast thats what the people on the radio said. but i could see it too. it was that huge. it didnt even make an impact it just froze and exploded in golden light after that night. people started reporting people with powers globally. i remembered my parents being worried...i dont know why tho...i really miss em..." just then eli stops himself from thinking about his parents.."nobody outside government officials and scientists really know how evolved people work and how they're powers work. but people are starting to get suspicious of the government for hiding it. especially since theres allot of super villains around the world.." eli shrugs and continues eating as he make his way to school. finally eli makes it to school and spots lee waving at him "hey bro get over here!" lee grabs eli and ruffles his hair he was much taller than eli and lee always made sure to take advantage of it | "hey lee" he chuckles "what did you want to talk to me about?" "oh right well...Mina texted me last night" "as soon as eli hears mina's name he starts thinking to himself "oh man mina i haven't seen her in years not since middle school she always loved to tease me but since her and lee got into a relationship since we were all best friends for a while we kinda got apart. but after her parents had to move to mumbai due to they're jobs we havents seen each other since we were 13. i wonder if we'll even recodnize each other since we're 16 now.." he wonders but starts to zone back out to hear what lee was saying "anyways. mina said she'd be back in like a few weeks! i'll finally be able to see again!" lee exlaims "oh damn for real! i cant wait i haven't seen in her years!" just then the bell rings. "oh crap we gotta get to class! later lee!" eli bolts up the stairs and manages to make it to class. but the hallway gaurd asks to see his school ID "aw crap where is it..." he finally finds it and hands it to the gaurd where we finally see eli's full name Elias "Eli" Cross he quickly takes his ID back and enters class and the teacher immediately enters after him "alright class settle down now i know math is kinda unfair to throw at you guys at 7 in the morning but its not my choice is it? now anyways. i'd like to introduce our newest classmate. Kiko. "just then kiko enters the classroom and removes her scarf. "go ahead and introduce yourself kiko!" he eyes seem to become more apparent due to the sunlight "Hi...my names Kiko. Kiko Hoshino" if it wasnt already apparent that kiko looked asian. then the last name was sure to slap some sense in to you. "alright then kiko you can go ahead and sit over there kiko is seated next to eli but he doesnt pay much mind to it and neither does he even notice her sit next to him. a few minutes in class pass by when suddenly kiko engages into a whispering convo "hey you. arnt you my neighbor?" she asks "uh..yeah i think so. kiko was it." "yeah its nice to meet you. hope i didnt seem rude the first couple of times we saw eachother justs didnt know what to say." "nah its fine" after that they didnt really speak much. so as the bell rang after class he eli made his way to the student council room....

  as eli enters the student council room he spots sahsa alone doing paper work. and yes. she is the student council president "heeey prezi how's it going" eli asked teasingly "eli? dont you have class? what do you want?" oh nothing just came to check up on my favourite girl" that instantly made her blush "sh-shut up eli what the hell do you want cant you see im busy right now?!" "jeez always such a buzz kill.. whatever. where's everyone else?" they're out doing they're other duties while i occupy myself with some paperwork now if you dont mind." "alright alright i get it...but i look forward to seeing my favourite girl at lunch" eli says as he leaves. sahsa blushes furiously as he leaves "damn it...why does he always stir me up like that...". after that we see Lee having soccer practice his teammate passes him the ball and he easily scores showing just how skilled his is he does hattricks and all shorts of things but when his teammate doesnt pass the ball he gets angry. its very clear that he's a bit of a hot head which matches the fiery orange of his hair and the bright amber of his eyes. in the next scene we see kiko in the library a stack of books on her table. but it looks like she's on her phone. despite that. she seemed to be studying a complex subject. just then. eli walks passed the library door but neither notice the other. eli walks up to an open window looking over the campus of the school with a great view. just then a few jocks who seem to be on the socker team roughly shove him "hey dude what the hell" "oh looks its eli watchu doing hanging around all alone. your weird you know that?" "i was just minding my own buisness what did i even do to you?" the 3 guys get closer to eli "listen up punk you got lucky being all buddy buddy with Lee but as soon as he isnt watching we'll come find you. got it?" eli rolls his eyes and shoves the guy out of the way and onto the ground the guy angrily gets up and is about to try hitting eli when i a teacher walks into the hallway "everything alright here boys?" eli smirks at the 3 guys and walks away "yes everything is alright ma'am." as eli walks away "what kind of wimp do those guys take me for? i'm friends with lee for a reason. I'm not gonna let them push me around like a ragdoll. not like i ever have." and with that eli heads for the cafeteria.

  Eli enters the cafeteria and stands in line for lunch when suddenly he notices kiko is infront of him. suddenly she steps aside. "here take my spot. it is my 3rd time standing in line. the food here is really good...surprisingly good." "uhh..thanks kiko." he says as he steps infront of her and she steps behind him "so...are you and sahsa..." "what?" eli asks confused "i mean. i've seen the 2 of you around. you guys seem really close." "i still dont get what your saying." kiko rolls her eyes "im asking if you two are dating" "oh. nope we're like siblings. we've been friends since the sandbox. my parents were good friends with hers. so after mine....you know...her parents took me in..." they both go silent for a while "sorry for assuming. i just like to look from afar you know.." "no its fine.." as eli gets to the counter he orders food for the both of them surprisingly "oh...wow thanks" kiko says surprised as she takes the food. they both walk to an empty bench in the corner of the lunch room they begin to eat silently when suddenly lee walks up "hey y'all what's up?" he says as he sat beside eli and he notices kiko "you must be the new girl...kiko was it" he holds his hand out for a hand shake and kiko shakes his hand. when suddenly the bell rings. "aw come on i just got here...auuugh" kiko chuckles silently at eli and so does lee as eli buries his face on the table "come on buddy time to get you to chemistry class. we wouldnt want the striaght A student missing attendance would we?" lee said teasingly "oh whatever lee my grades arnt even that good. i got a B in PE" both kiko and lee chuckle once again as they walk to the chemistry department..some time later the last bell rings and every starts packing they're bags. just as rain begins to fall outside. Lee waves Eli goodbye and sasha "hey eli im staying late today dont wait up for me get home early AND STAY SAFE" leaving just kiko and eli alone at the exit of the school building. "so whats your story?" eli asked" "told my mom i wanted to walk home myself. soo...i have to walk home in the rain..." "i have an umbrella" says eli "oh thank god lets go" kiko instantly replies, eli opens the umbrella and the begin walking. "hey...so...when did you move in next door" "a few days ago...i haven't been here long..so your kind of the only person i know" "so...where'd you move from?" eli asks "well...i spent most of my childhood in japan..where my mom's from but i moved around alot after that...but since I'm starting to get older. my parents decided to settle down here in Topview" "well...your parents picked a great place because you get to see this handsome face every day." kiko covers her mouth with a finger and chuckles silently but theres a slight blush that eli doesnt notice just as they were about to cross the road two masked men stopped the two dead in they're tracks. "hey you. kid...were you at DruBurger yesterday?" the masked man the rain makes the two masked man seem ominous eli slightly pushes kiko behind him "no...i dont think i was.." "you sure kid?" the masked man hunches over slightly just at the same time lightning strikes close by...causing eli and kiko to flinch slightly "I'm. sure." one of the masked men suddenly pulls out a gun "Kiko run! now!" eli pushes her out of the way and she goes running "Eli come with me!" just as eli was going to win the masked man pushes him to the ground and shoots at him but eli rolls out of the way eli try's to attack the masked man but he gets over power and shoved into a wall but eli manages to grab his gun and shoot him in the leg out of pure luck "Oh shit!" just then the second masked man recovers and aims his gun at eli. eli drops the gun and starts running toward the park he had hoped to get some amount of witnesses but he knew the chance was low due to the rainfall and lightning. bullets whiz past eric and he gets shot 5 times eric falls and rolls and screams out in agony tears falling and combining with the rain but eli gets up and run lighting aggressively strikes close by but not near him as eli is about to enter the park time seems to slow as he realises...the park is comepltely empty...he was right...the rain did clear out anyone that was remaining there..that instant he gets shot in the chest and the masked man runs off. becuase eli was running he falls and rolls onto the grass in the middle of the park and screams in pain the sheer amount of pain making him convulse then as he screams a golden ray of lightning comes flying down. time slows once more as the lighning stirke somehow drags out the bulletes from eli's body and the lightning strikes eli his guys glow a celestial gold the light seeps through his mouth as he screams. we can see the droplets of rain slow down as a energy pulls of golden electricity surges through the city the page fades to black as we return to eli sitting in the hospital room. looking at his reflection in the metal food tray...
