A Message To You Rudy

Glenn turned the closed sign and pushed the door tight. Another day done. Not bad for a Sunday. The usual Sunday faces getting the cuts that set them up for the week. The chat and banter soundtracked by the never ending pylist and the hum of clippers. Glenn checked himself in the mirror, not bad he thought. Still got it. The boxing club still kept him in shape even if it felt much tougher than when he joined as a teen. His uniform was the same as that kid though. Skinhead chic Michael called it. Glenn took the teasing from the other half whilst knowing his influence was visible in Michael. The suedehead cut, the occasional Lonsdale T-shirt, the DM shoes. Glenn was happy to be full on skinhead and have a partner that dabbled. His style was cssic and was the reason he still had customers coming into the shop. So many great characters and new friendships come and gone over the years.

Glenn straightened himself up, rubbed his head. Noted he needed to shave it before tomorrow. Then grabbed his wallet and phone. Beer chilling and Michael waiting at home with a roast. “Let’s get yourself home d”.
