Everyone looked down at the chaos that had taken pce in Seoul. Everything was over. Even the "leader" who had inspired everyone was speechless in the face of all the hell that was happening in Korea... No, on Earth! But with an indifferent expression and a confident attitude, Nam Hojin took a step forward and, with his hands in his pockets, began walking towards the city of Seoul. The young man who led the group, however, ran to keep up with him and shouted;
— HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?! - He said, while holding his shirt.
— Yo... Don't touch me, you damn thing. - Hojin said, while spping his hand away. - What am I going to do? It's none of your business. - He stared at the young man coldly.
A shiver ran down his spine for a moment, but without hesitation, he fixed his brown hair and said, without looking away or stuttering;
— It's not fair that you just abandon people when you think you can, "bad boy"... - The young man said, as he put his hand in his pocket. - Being alone is dangerous and selfish.
— And do I look like I care about that? - Hojin replied, turning his back to leave.
— Up ahead, when you're dying... - The young man paused, and continued; - You'll remember that you should have come with us.
The young man, visibly irritated, clenched his fists and turned around, disappearing into the mist along with the group of people.
Before the young man turned around completely, Hojin managed to see his badge, discovering his name;
( Ma Yoon-jae, right? I'll remember your name, bastard... ) - Hojin thought to himself. He would definitely remember that name.
But, after a breath, Hojin shrugged and returned to his own objective, completely ignoring the group of people that were going through the mist.
As he walked, he saw more and more of the apocalyptic scene that had become present in front of him;
The shattered buildings, once rge and imposing, were now nothing. Destroyed, reduced to mere rubble, few still had their foundations standing. The sky, once clear and clear, had turned red and bloody. A bck and irregur crack stretched across the sky, looking like an open eye, while various monsters appeared; both on nd and in the sky. People crushed under rubble, and trying to escape from monsters, was exactly what Nam Hojin saw in front of him. Sounds of energy explosions from the monsters could be heard, and, in addition, the dust was high, and the air? Thin and dirty, it was barely breathable.
— Exactly like in the game... - He whispered to himself, softly, as his blue eyes looked at that chaos.
The young man scratched his head for a moment, and then began walking again, towards old Seoul. He knew that somewhere there, there was a pce where he could receive an item; the "Metados Glow". It was the most basic item in the game, but in this world, it could be something interesting to acquire. As he walked through the destroyed neighborhood of Yangcheon-gu, and saw the old tallest buildings in Seoul twisted and destroyed, he finally arrived where he wanted: the Yangcheon-gu Main Building.
Before, it was just an ordinary apartment network. But... Now? It was something EXTREMELY different.
Overpping the qualities and visuals of the game, that building was completely different; a kind of fortress that hid the item Hojin wanted.
— So... Is this it? It's more intact than I expected. - He said, with a smile on his face.
Nam Hojin closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, then he started running towards the building's door, and with all his strength, he threw a double kick at the door, breaking it down with retive ease, but falling with it in the process.
— Okay, okay... I've already done the hardest part! - He said, with a pained voice, standing up and holding his shoulder because of the recoil.
Hojin then stood up and began to analyze the entrance of the pce; It was a common reception. A small, square space, some waiting chairs fallen on the floor, the receptionist's desk broken in half, and the water fountain torn; completely without water.
— Oh, shit... They've already been here. - Hojin realized as he looked at the clear signs.
For him, this was not good. The item he was looking for, the Metados Glow, could be the most basic and weakest item in the game, but outside of it, it would be something extremely rare, after all, it was PURE ENERGY waiting to be consumed... And he needed to be the first. So, even seeing that scene, he decided to continue through the double doors in front of him, finding a hallway and several doors with apartment numbers; Some closed and intact, some fallen, thrown, and others completely broken. But, for sure, no one is alive inside any of them.
(Well... I need to find the basement of this pce. That's where it'll be.) - He thought to himself, sighing and starting to walk around.
To admit it, Nam Hojin didn't really know the map of the apartments. He'd never been there, actually. But... He knew something that no one else did: The game's map was always based on Seoul, and, to know where the best items were, he ended up studying the city map. And, since a Metados Fre appeared right at the beginning of the game in the "Tower of Dirt", which was right there in that location, he already knew where to go.
So he went through rows of seemingly endless corridors, sequences of stairs that led to more and more apartments and more and more doors. But finally, he found a new door; Gray, at the back of the building, a push door with the words "The Basement" written on it. With a mischievous smile on his face, he pushed the door open, but as he looked at the stairs below, an inner thought appeared;
(Fuck...) - With an incredulous face, he froze.
Bck Wolves.

That wasn't supposed to be a challenge. Of course, for a pyer of at least level 5! But... He was level 1. All his attributes were at the minimum, and, even with all his knowledge of the game, he didn't have much of an idea of what to do.
— If only I could get to the Fre... It would be much easier to deal with these wolves. - He said to himself, as he stared at his own status window.

— What the hell... With such low stats, I'll die for anything! - He said, as he stared into the red eyes of one of the wolves.
One thing he knew about these wolves was that if you looked into their eyes and kept a certain distance, they wouldn't attack. They also had a weak spot near their neck, but that wouldn't be useful now. At least, not until he had an item to fight.
But, when he least expected it, a noise began to form from inside the building; They were footsteps. Heavy. Cold. Followed by rustling sounds - noises that lizards make. He froze again. That building was not the habitat of any hostile creature! However... Apparently, real life really didn't follow the rules of the game. And if he were to py by the rules of real life, he would have to take a risk...
— Damn... Now I'm cornered... Based on the sound of the footsteps... - He waited a bit, listening again - It's definitely a Sword Lizard.
Sword Lizard.

It was a humanoid lizard that wore some leather armor, was bipedal and had very sharp senses. In addition, for some reason, in its biology, it had a deadly structure simir to a sword stuck in its hilt (hence the name "Sword Lizard").
Really... He was in a tight spot. The game didn't seem to have been completely transported to real life, since, if it were in the world of Chronicles of God's Disciples, that would be one of the most peaceful environments to start in... But, clearly it wasn't.
— Okay, calm down... They follow some of the behaviors of the games. - Hojin said to himself, as he turned back to face one of the wolves. - If that shitty lizard gets too close, I'll have to risk it...
Hojin took a deep breath, and with his fists clenched, he flexed his knees and jumped. Their eyes looked up, but before they could process it, he had already surpassed them and started running towards a door there.
Growls.
But, of course, they wouldn't let it go. The pack of five wolves started running towards Hojin, who, a second before being bitten, managed to break down the door.
He stopped.
And the wolves stopped too.
The Metados Glow was in front of him.
On a central table, there it was. Pulsing like a heart, shining like gold and, most importantly, releasing more and more energy. The Glow radiated mana, and the closer Hojin got, the brighter it became.
With a cynical smile, Hojin took the small sphere in one of his hands, his eyes shining;
— Finally... It's time to gain power!
