[Lily POV]

  Once Gale and Ivan showed up, we entered one of the trucks they rode in on. Unfortunately, Gale had to watch the three troublemakers, so Ivan drove us back. I looked in the back of the truck to see how Kim was doing, but an adorable sight greeted me. Kim had fallen asleep with Jill's tail as a bnket while Jill was using Kim's new one for a hug pillow. I turned away from the sight wishing I had a camera on me and started to talk with Ivan.

  "So how is everything going back at the convoy? I know we left without any warning."(Lily)

  "Well, it turns out the Chief predicted something like this would happen, so some of his people were ready to ensure their safety and/or loyalty."(Ivan)

  "I hate that we were pying to that man's tune but at least the outcome is favorable even if it was a massive pain in the rear."(Lily)

  "I hear you on that, I hate being a supporting actor. How are the princess and her knight doing?"(Ivan)

  "Sleeping in a way that makes me a bit envious."(Lily)

  "Oh, how so?"(Ivan)

  "Kim has fluffy tales for bnkets and Jill has a new hug pillow in the form of Kim's new appendage."(Lily)

  "Oh my, how scandalous we must not let them forget such debauchery."(Ivan)

  "I agree. Kim may explode this time. Heh. Makes me wish I had a camera."(Lily)

  "Well, you are in luck. I happen to have one in the glove box"(Ivan)

  I opened the live box to see a small digital camera inside.

  "Why do you have this?"(Lily)

  "One must always be prepared for any occasion! Plus I'd figure either you or them would do something embarrassing on the way back."(Ivan)

  I rolled my eyes at his admittedly accurate statement and focused on getting a good number of pictures for both my teasing and research materials.

  "Teasing material obtained!"(Lily)

  "That is grand but unfortunately we may have to wake them."(Ivan)

  I looked up from the camera to see we were almost back.

  "That's a shame. After debrief do you want to eat with us?"(Lily)

  "Sure. I believe our table will still be empty when we get there?"(Ivan)

  "True but I wonder what will happen now?"(Lily)

  I turned back to look at Kim as I spoke with a hint of mencholy in my voice.

  "Most likely more rumors of how you pn to convert us all into your mutant henchmen. HAHAHA!"(Ivan)

  "It's not just that but Kim absorbed the Shift completely so the higher-ups will be all over her."(Lily)

  Ivan suddenly lost his jovial tone.

  "Aw, that's new. And how do you think that will go?"(Ivan)

  "Horribly. So I need to come up with something to keep them off her back for a bit."(Lily)

  Ivan gave me a smile before commenting.

  "I think the better term would be to keep them off her tail."(Ivan)

  I chuckled as Ivan approached the gate and a guard approached the window. We were let through without much trouble, but the guard stiffened when he saw me.

  "I do wonder if they ever get tired of doing that."(Ivan)

  "I do, but I can only do so much."(Lily)

  Kim stirred from her sleep as we parked the truck before cozying up to Jill's tails again. I tried to shake her awake.

  "Five more minutes."(Kim)

  "Sorry, but we have to get out so we can return to the b."(Lily)

  "But it's so comfy here."(Kim)

  "Are you sure it is where you are and not the fact you are using Jill's tails as bnkets?"(Lily)

  Kim's eyes shot open when she registered what I said before looking down.

  "How long?"(Kim)

  I continued to have a mischievous smirk on my face as I replied.

  "How long what?"(Lily)

  I could see a hint of exasperation behind her embarrassment as she responded to me.

  "How long have I been using her tails as bnkets?"(Kim)

  "From what I could tell, the whole time. Now come on we have to get to the b before one of us is called into the chief's office."(Lily)

  "Alright."(Kim)

  "Good now I need you to wake her up."(Lily)

  I pointed at Jill who was nibbling on the tip of Kim's tail.

  "*Nom.* You can't get away. *nom.*"(Jill)

  Kim started to shake Jill awake and pulled her tail from the fox's grasp before Jill's eyes zily opened. Jill looked at Kim before pouncing on her while half awake.

  "Mine."(Jill)

  Kim could keep herself up with the assistance of her new tail, but you could see she was straining to maintain her bance. With Ivan's help, we made our way to my b without incident before he left to debrief with the chief.

  I hope Gale is doing well.

  [Gale POV]

  I was not doing well. It was mainly due to the three annoyances I had to watch on my drive back. Well, it was more of two of them, Audrey was quiet. Whatever Kim did had spooked her the most. You would think the man missing an arm would be the quiet one, but he was cursing up a storm. Most of it was directed at Kim and how she cheated somehow, while the other guy just shouted how he wouldn't have lost if the one-armed man hadn't pyed around. From there on the two wouldn't shut up, I was tempted to remove the air around them but wasn't sure if I could while driving.

  Luckily, I could see my destination and wouldn't have to hold out for long. I was heading to the advanced interrogation site which was only known to a select few on base and a good distance from it. I soon pulled up to the gate and was greeted by one of the guards.

  "Hello sir, we've been expecting you. You are to pull into hanger four with the prisoners."(guard)

  "Thank you."(Gale)

  Hanger four was empty except for a group of six specialists. All six performed a salute as I approached but soon dropped formalities when I stopped the vehicle.

  "It's good to see you again former operative Gale. I believe you have something for us."(specialist 1)

  "Yes, I do. Anything you need before I hand them off?"(Gale)

  "Not really but Penny wanted me to ask you how it was going with the doctor you don't dare to ask out."(specialist 1)

  I let out an exasperated sigh before answering.

  "Well, when you see her again remind her that it is none of her business."(Gale)

  One of the female specialists piped up after I gave my response.

  "Still no luck. You could always practice with me but I will require a nice dinner as compensation for my time."(specialist 5)

  "I never said that."(Gale)

  I replied with a smirk.

  "Come on it's not like you finally grew a pair and asked her out."(specialist 5)

  I stayed silent as my smirk grew into a full smile before another female specialist responded.

  "Oh my god, I think he did!"(specialist 3)

  "Enough we are on a schedule! Sorry about that."(specialist 1)

  "It's no problem but if that is everything I'd like to go now."(Gale)

  "We just need you to file a report and we will have a car ready to take you back to base"(specialist 1)

  "Ok, I better get started then."(Gale)

  While we finished our talk the rest of the specialists formed around the truck to secure the prisoners and I headed to file my report.
