Morning Sun rose spreading its orange hue all over the place. I got up to my alarm and watched the scenery through my opened windows which was the best thing to start my day with. The morning breeze touched my face gently, lifting my silky hair with it, honestly, I would like to keep doing this a bit longer but today marks the beginning of Will Not Die instead of Will Dye as prophesied by the shitty devs. So first I did some push-ups and stretches in the room until I sweated for a bit and then I went to take a shower in the bathroom which was common for three people that stayed in the room. Cold water tinged my skin....Fuck it's cold. I just turned on the hot water tap and took a hot water shower. I am not some kind of fitness model so it should be fine.

  I looked at the time it was 7:30, the college starts at 9 so lets get ready fast and leave. I put on my uniform, to be honest the fitting was so perfect I kinda wanted to ask of they could do some personalized casuals or suits, but that comes after I earn enough money. I just hung a bag and left the room, to go to the canteen.

  The way the Dormitory was built is such that there are 2 large buildings: one housing the first and second years while the other housed 3rd and 4th years. This type of dorm was to avoid ragging as the difference in levels and strength didn't vary much between first and second years, so first years could put up a good fight against them and similarly third years could put up a good fight against fourth years. And in between these two large buildings was the main building which had a Dorm reception on the ground floor, a canteen on the first floor, a garden on the second floor and finally training grounds in the basement. It was pretty well-structured and easy to navigate.

  As I came out of my room I was met with a familiar sight, familiar from the game. It was the first party members when the party system is introduced, they were the Rara twins as called by the community. Diara and Tiara, these two separately were not much of a threat, but together they were a sleek combo. They both had blonde hair with green eyes.

  Diara had the unique skill 'Harmonic pulse' which creates a pulse of sound wave and whoever follows that pulse with rhythm can be buffed while Tiara's unique skill is Rhythmic step where she can follow a rhythm to increase her speed and dancing steps that buff her attack damage. So they were a deadly duo, and they were walking past me when Diara stopped to look at me and asked "Are you also a first-year?"

  I nodded "Yes, I'm Will Dye nice to meet you"

  Both of them looked at each other first and then spoke together "What a ridiculous name"

  My smile cracked, these girls had a bit of a mischievous side as seen from the game, but now it kind of irked me.

  "Well, don't you think it's rude to not introduce yourself?"

  After laughing about my name, they finally introduced themselves and honestly, the only way to differentiate between the two was their hairstyle. Diara had her hair down while Tiara tied it into a ponytail. They even invited me to the canteen, so we walked together. From the ground floor, we left the dorm building through the large exit and followed the stone pathway with lush green grass spanning large areas, while the line of neatly trimmed boxwood topiaries marked the boundaries of the pathways.

  It was calming to walk through until we reached the main building that contained various other facilities inside. There were many students entering and leaving the building while some lazily dragged their steps. We entered the building and climbed the stairs which led to the Canteen and we were served Spring rolls and sauce, with milk or mango juice. There was even bread and Bun kept separately for us to pick ourselves.

  I took the spring rolls and mango juice while the twins took Bread and jam with Milk. Soon the Diara spoke "Hey Will, what made you come to this academy? I mean you know about the low reputation right?"

  I just answered "Well you can say my reputation is lower and my unique skill... is not that great either. What about you guys?"

  Honestly, I already knew but asked anyway to which Tiara answered "Our uncle is a teacher here and since he knew us quite well we came here"

  Their Uncle was one of the few hardworking teachers of this damn academy, he was a theory specialist and researcher. And him being their mother's brother sealed the deal I guess. Another question came from Tiara's side now "Hey, what's your unique skill?"

  Huh, please no..don't hurt me more. As I was about to answer Diara spoke "That's a bit rude Tia, he already said his unique skill is bad so just leave him be"

  OK, even you are not any better Ms. Diara. I just took a bite of my spring roll dipping it in sauce to make myself feel better from taking that stray bullet, and damn the taste was soo good. I finished them one by one and drank the juice in one go. The Twins were staring at me for eating so fast but it didn't bother me, after both of them also finished their plates we left the canteen.

  "Since we can be in different classes don't forget us Will...Die?"

  Diara said in a teasing tone. I just smirked because I already knew we will be in the same class and we walked towards the Academy building now, which was a 5-minute walk away from the dorms. After walking for 2 minutes we were already able to see the magnificent stone structure built 100 years ago but still stood towering. The Academy building was a grand one befitting the founder, because the permission to open an Academy was only given to the strongest people of the Velitos world, and our founder was said to be a rival of the strongest ones a long time ago. Right now he is retired and does stuff like picking up weirdos from around the world to this academy, remember the Slime guy...yes it was the same founder who brought him.

  The Building spanning several kilometers in width and about 400 feet in height. It even had carvings upon it with different tribal languages, runic symbols, and statues that symbolized the fight against Mist monsters. When we entered the large entrance gates that could easily fit 4-to 5 elephants together we found many students wearing the same uniform as us but there were different species too. As we walked by, we saw a praying mantis with just a shirt and blazer, a snail-like face with its eyes dangling wearing a coat and moving around. For me it was a wonder because this was not how it was in my world. So I was looking around fascinated when Tiara pulled my sleeve. "Will you stop staring at everybody you see like that? It makes me wanna punch your stupid face"

  Woah, ok too much excitement. "I'm sorry, maybe I'm looking forward towards my first class in the academy way too much." To this Diara just shook her head.

  We reached the grand doors which led to different classes when a bunch of people wearing a red band on their arms directed us towards the field outside where there was a stage set up and some more people wearing the red band standing atop the dais. But there was one peculiar man that stood out. That man had magnificent horns that extended from the top of his head and arched back with ember lines on it and his handsome face that looked like David Beckham and Angelina Jolie had a kid.

  He was the Student council president 'Regulus Vega' and he was also one of the strongest people in the academy......is that what you were expecting? well, here money can make you the president so why bother with staying strong? He was one of the many children of the Dragon Emperor Vega, he was a dragonkin and mind you a purebred, his skill was intimidation which he inherited from his father, and has zero fighting power. But no one dares to fight an intimidating opponent without losing their mind or being a mental patient so he reigned as the strongest of the Wein Academy without anything to show for it. And he is one of the rich guys I want to latch onto to earn some easy money.

  It seems that he with other student council members had prepared a welcome speech. He firstly cast intimidation upon all of us, as we fell to our knees terrified of his power. Damn now I know why no one attacked him because this pressure is no joke, I was barely able to lift my head to see him grinning, finally, he stopped and spoke

  "Hey, freshers of the Wein Academy. This was just a fraction of my full power and you already bent your knees, huh this batch is pathetic too. But what you can do is strive, struggle, and work your ass off, and maybe...just maybe you also might reach my level because that is what the academy is for."

  He said this, turned back, and slowly descended the podium stairs. Without even looking back he just moved to the academy building that will be our learning abode from this day forward. After he vanished another guy wearing the Vice president badge spoke with a smooth voice "As you heard from the President, this is the sacred place of learning so make the best use of what is given and become strong. Now I will read the rules which you have to follow without fail when in the academy as dignified students of the Wein academy."

  Saying this he read out some rules to the people standing below the makeshift podium, it was just the same; time is precious, fine this fine that, and don't go to the other places without a teacher or a student council member with you. As this academy covered a huge area, curiosity did drive some students astray, and they were terrified and lost in the woods that spanned who knows how long. So the rules stated taking higher-ups. But what intrigued me was even during gaming days we didn't fully explore the academy area, as it needed a teacher to be with us and some other restrictions. My gamer instincts were shouting at me, telling me there was loot and mysteries to be explored. But currently, my focus is on survival for 4 years, so I reeled in my instincts and looked around for my classmates.
