Sequence

  Setting: Kyle and Neela arrive at the spaceship. Akira steps out of the vehicle, and Nee spots her from a distance. Nee runs toward Akira and hugs her, her face glowing with joy.

  Nee: (happily) “I missed you so much!”

  Action: A little farther off, John is cleaning the second fighter craft, which they’d pulled out of the spaceship’s hangar earlier. He glances at Akira’s vehicle and then walks toward them.

  Action: Akira looks at John, and Nee suddenly notices two people in the back of the vehicle. She stares at them in surprise.

  Nee: (amazed) “Who are they?”

  Akira: “Come on, step out.”

  Action: Kyle and Neela hesitate for a moment before getting out. Nee watches them curiously.

  Nee: “Where’d you find them? They look so human, but their skin and faces are different.”

  Action: John joins Nee and Akira.

  John: “They’re aliens. Probably from another planet.”

  Action: Excitement sparkles in Nee’s eyes.

  Akira: (pointing to them) “This is Nee, and that’s John. I’m Akira.”

  Action: Neela steps forward warmly.

  Neela: “I’m Neela, and this is Kyle.”

  Action: Nee glances at Kyle and Neela as they head to the restaurant with enthusiasm. Inside, Neela and Kyle are amazed by the clean, orderly space.

  Neela: (stunned) “It’s so neat and clean here!”

  Kyle: (amazed) “Really! I’ve never seen a restaurant like this.”

  Nee: (smiling) “Come sit down—I’ll bring you some food soon.”

  Akira: “Yes, please, go ahead.”

  Action: John sits in a corner of the restaurant, observing from afar. Nee heads to the kitchen to prepare food while Akira sets the table for Neela and Kyle.

  Kyle: “But I’ve never eaten anything like this before.”
