Pearl Harbor was on alert. One of the British ships had picked up something rge coming in towards the base from its surface search radar at rather fast speeds for a ship.
The port was moving frantically to try and unlock the weapon and ammunition stores if a fight was coming; they didn't have time to worry about saboteurs among the human popution of the isnd.
===========================
“Are you sure it was wise to send Ayanami ahead to scout?” Kaga asks
“The demon of the Solomons has this Kaga. It is a good thing we sent her to scout. My scouting pne is seeing some panicked movements.” Akagi says
“Did your pne get spotted?” Kaga asks
“No? My pilot is being careful.”
“Huh, that is a fairly rge ship,” Akagi says
“You spot something?” Kaga asks
“Yeah, coming from South-Southwest. It looks to be around 270 meters long.” Akagi says
“That’s bigger than Yamato Hime?” Kaga asks, shocked. “The hull looks like an Iowa css…” Akagi says
“They sent Iowa out here? I thought they needed her for the Sirens in the North Atntic?” Kaga asks, shocked.
“It matters not. We will strike unsuspectedly and catch them by surprise,” Akagi says=======================
Georgia smirks as her radar picks up contacts a few miles out.
It seems like Pearl managed to notice her, and hopefully the base would be more alerted. The fact that they were unching pnes to come and intercept her, so the likelihood of all the anti-air ammo and the keys to the pnes still being locked up is unlikely.
However, that Zero at the halfway mark on her radar was what was truly holding her attention.
“What day is it?” Georgia asks
“It is Sunday, December 7th 1941,” Vestal says
“Oh, so tomorrow is Monday?” Georgia asks
“Yes. Why does that matter?” Enterprise asks
“No reason,” Georgia says, wondering if she could prevent the Monday to end all Mondays. ===============================
Georgia is watching with a smile as a Clevend css and a flotil of destroyers sail out to intercept her before she gets to the base.
“Wow, I think they spotted you,” Vestal says ftly.
“I could start pying music over the intercom system,” Georgia says
“As long as it is not Anchors Away, I will be alright with it.” Enterprise says
“Hmm, Dreadnought? I mean, I want to use them, though I don’t think Bismark or Midway would be a good song.” Georgia
“What does Bismark and that Isnd base have to do with songs?” Vestal asks
“You’ll hear them ter,” Georgia says
Tora Tora Tora.
===
Tora Tora Tora,
Those were the words that signaled the attack.
“Enterprise, get your pnes up,” Georgia states.
“Why?” Vestal asks
“I am detecting over 150 aircraft coming our way, some ship girl craft, some human,” Georgia says
Enterprise’s eyes widened.“Oh shit.” Vestal mutters
“Another 70-80 craft coming from the north… Faster than the speed of sound,” Georgia adds, noticing her radar ping.
“Aegis on,” Georgia mutters as she starts to lock the supersonic craft.
The Wildcats roared to life as they catapulted off the deck of the Enterprise, their engines thundering against the backdrop of the clear sky. The supersonic craft, now aware of the interception, adjusted their trajectory toward Georgia's position.
“You know, I wish I could’ve had steak and eggs this morning,” Georgia says
“Which Direction?” Enterprise states not finding the situation humorous.
‘Ah, a young and serious Enterprise.’ Georgia thinks to herself.
“It would be best to send all of your flights to Pearl, I can cover our airspace.” Georgia says.
Vestal and Enterprise look at the battleship skeptically.
Enterprise's expression remained stern, her eyes fixed on the approaching threat. "Georgia, this is not the time for jokes. We need to focus on defending our position."
Vestal chimed in, her concern evident, "Sending all our flights to Pearl might leave us vulnerable. Are you sure about this, Georgia?"
Georgia looks at the two and grins. “I got this, release batteries 3 through 7.”
A couple of loud roars started to echo off of each other as 4 sleek metallic objects flew off into the sky. 4 bright lights suddenly going out as the small smoke cloud which had been chasing them suddenly ended.
“What was that?” Vestal asks
There were suddenly 5 distant explosions in the sky.
“I have a lot of questions, however… defending the base takes precedence,” Enterprise says with a gre.
