Chapter - 60
East Blue – Loguetown
“Shishishishishi, it’s time to decre my dream to the world, the Grand Line awaits me”, Luffy mutters before clenching his fists and sucking in a huge amount of air before shouting his dream to the world.
"I, MONKEY D. LUFFY, WILL FIND THE ONE PIECE AND BECOME THE PIRATE KING!!!!", Luffy shouts at the top of his lungs while raising his arms into the air.
The silence that followed in the square was nothing short of unnerving, and no matter how ridiculous and funny the boy's decration seemed, especially in this pce, everyone felt deeply that this boy was serious and would pursue this goal relentlessly like a hungry animal in front of food.
"What is this idiot doing?", Sanji asks his crewmates as he witnesses what Luffy just did.
"Shit, obviously", Usopp comments with a tired sigh.
“...Sigh... we're going to have to fight to get out of here, and there's still a damn storm coming, and with all this chaos, we're going to have to leave the isnd now or this storm will trap us here”, Nami says handing over everything she bought to Usopp who promptly shrinks everything and puts it in his bag.
“Okay, then Nami, Usopp, Kaya, and Nojiko run to the port to prepare the Merry so we can get out of here. In the meantime, me, the little bangs hair, and Chouchou stay here to help Luffy, and then we run to the ship and catch up with you guys”, Zoro takes charge and tells everyone the pn.
Following the pn, all the Straw Hats spring into action to make their escape.
As Nami, Usopp, Kaya, and Nojiko ran toward the port after taking down several Marines in their way, Zoro, Sanji, and Chouchou rushed forward, attacking any pirate that appeared in their path to clear the way until Luffy.

A few minutes before the Straw Hats sprang into action, specifically right after Luffy made his decration, in a building overlooking the situation in the square.
"Who’s the brat? And what’s the situation?", Smoker asks, bringing his men back to reality.
"We currently have three wanted pirates in the square, Captain. They are Alvida, the Iron Mace, she looks different from before, but some nearby citizens who managed to get away before things got worse said it was her. The next one is Buggy, the Clown, and the kid wearing the straw hat on top of the ptform who just shouted is Monkey D. Luffy", one of the marines says, passing the information to Smoker.
"Hmm? Monkey D. Luffy? Never heard of this guy", Smoker comments while analyzing the general situation in the square. The pirates had some civilian hostages who hadn’t managed to escape before, held at gunpoints. This so-called Luffy was at the top of the ptform, the other pirates were concentrated in the center of the square, and a crowd of curious civilians was surrounding the edges of the square, wanting to see what was happening.
"He's a rookie pirate, Captain. His bounty was issued about a week ago, and his head is worth fifty million Berries, the highest bounty in the East Blue", the marine says, informing his Captain about who the boy with the straw hat is.
"Fifty million? Why so high? What has this guy done?", Tashigi asks, surprised.
"He defeated down a bunch of people, the ex-Captain Morgan from Shells Town, Buggy the Clown, who's in the pza now, probably wanting revenge or something, Don Krieg, who couldn't handle the Grand Line and came back to the East Blue just to be killed by him, and Arlong the Saw. There are also rumors that he fought Vice-Admiral Garp and managed to escape", the marine says, reying the necessary information.
"Alright, that just means it'll be harder to capture the Straw Hat, not impossible, no pirate escapes from me. Besides, we've already surrounded the pza, so let's wrap this nonsense up and decre their arrest", Smoker says, and just as he is about to grab a Den Den Mushi megaphone to go to the pza and decre the pirates' arrest, a commotion on one side of the pza catches his attention.
"What’s this commotion? What's going on?", Smoker asks, confused, trying to figure out what's happening.
"It’s Roronoa Zoro, a white wolf, and another guy, sir", one of the marines says, using binocurs to assess the situation down below.
"Roronoa Zoro is here in the city?", Tashigi asks, surprised, before taking the marine's binocurs to observe the situation in the square herself.
"Great! Just what I needed, a pirate hunter sticking his nose where it doesn't belong", Smoker comments, a vein bulging on his forehead.
"Err, sir, we have a report saying he’s now part of the Straw Hat crew", the marine updates him with more information.
"It’s him...", Tashigi excims, surprised, feeling betrayed and angry.
Meanwhile, in the square, upon seeing Zoro, Sanji, and Chouchou clearing a path to him, knocking out anyone who tried to block their way, Luffy smiles and waves his hands while shouting, "Hey, Sanji, Zoro, Chouchou, where's the rest of the crew?"
"There's a storm coming, you idiot! If we don't get out of here now, we'll be stuck on the isnd, and now you went and started more trouble! Miss Nami, Miss Kaya, Miss Nojiko, and Usopp went to the port to prepare the Merry for us to leave. Me, this idiot, and Chouchou came to help you, so let's go!", Sanji yells in response while delivering a Spartan kick to the chest of a pirate who got in his way.
"Hmm? Alright then, but before that, I don't think the World Government will need this ptform anymore, so", Luffy murmurs as he looks at the sky darkening. He then stomps on the ptform, causing the entire structure to colpse, creating a huge cloud of dust as the debris hits the ground.
While everyone is stunned by what just happened, the dust settles enough for everyone to see that Luffy is unharmed, standing amidst the rubble, brushing off the dust that stuck to his body.
"Well, guys, the Grand Line awaits me, so it seems your nap time has arrived. Have a good rest, everyone", Luffy says before releasing a controlled burst of Conqueror's Haki, covering the entire pza, causing everyone, except for the Straw Hats, Buggy, Smoker, and Tashigi, to foam at the mouth and pass out.
"What was that?", Tashigi asks, panting, kneeling, struggling to get up, nearly losing consciousness.
"What’s a Conqueror doing here in the East Blue?", Smoker asks to no one in particur, sweating cold.
"Smoker, all the men are unconscious. How do we proceed?", Tashigi asks after managing to compose herself and look around, assessing the situation of the nearby marines.
"It’s just the two of us, Tashigi. This prison just got a lot harder. Let’s go before they manage to escape", Smoker says before jumping through a window of the building they were in, nding in the square below.
Meanwhile, Tashigi, realizing what Captain Smoker did, runs out of the building using the stairs like a normal person, because obviously, she doesn’t want to break her legs by jumping from the fifth floor.

Chapter - 61
East Blue – Loguetown
Buggy, sweating cold, looks at his unconscious men around him, still dazed, processing the fact that the straw hat brat just used Conqueror’s Haki in a controlled manner.
I mean, he’d already realized before that the brat could at least use Armament Haki because, if he didn’t, the great Buggy wouldn’t have been unched into the sky earlier, but still, Conqueror’s Haki was a completely different thing.
When he finally comes to his senses and realizes that everything has already gone wrong, and that if they do not leave the isnd right then, while everyone is unconscious, it would be an almost impossible task ter, Buggy immediately starts waking up his men and Alvida so they can all escape.
‘At least that shit brat’s ship is going to burn to ashes. Mohji must’ve already set fire to the hunk of junk that brat calls a ship’, Buggy thinks as he sps one of his men’s face trying to wake him up.
As soon as he thinks that, as if the world were telling him to go screw himself, the weather worsens, and it starts to rain.
Buggy stops for a moment as the raindrops soak him, he then looks up at the sky and shows the hands middle fingers to the clouds while shouting, “Go fuck you too, world.”

While Buggy is waking up Alvida and his crew, Luffy approaches Zoro, Sanji, and Chouchou with a smile and says, “Alright, let’s get out of here, I’m done with what I had to do, by the way, my brother’s coming with us for a while.”
"Alright, alright, you can expin the whole brother thing ter, but right now we need to get out of here, the others should have already arrived at the port", Zoro says before they all start running back to the port.
“Bye, Boga, see you in the Grand Line”, Luffy shouts smiling as he runs out of the square.
“Go screw yourself, rubber brain!”, Buggy shouts angrily with a vein popping out of his forehead.
=Scene Break=
When Tashigi catches up to Smoker after leaving the building, she sees Luffy, Zoro, the other guy, and the dog running out of the square.
“What are your orders, Captain Smoker? It’s just the two of us now, should we arrest the pirates here in the square or chase after the Straw Hat and his crew?”, Tashigi asks, waiting for Smoker’s orders.
"Forget the clown and his circus; the Straw Hat is more dangerous", Smoker says before running after Luffy and his crew, taking as many shortcuts as possible through alleys and side streets to catch up, with Tashigi following suit.
And while the Straw Hats were running back to the port, Tashigi attacked them as she managed to catch up.
Zoro quickly blocks her with one of his swords, preventing her from hitting Luffy, who simply continues running as if nothing is happening.
“I’ll catch up with you guys in a second”, Zoro says before with a quick flick of his wrist, he sends her flying backward, making her back up against the column of an establishment, easily disarming her, and then pcing his sword near Tashigi’s neck.
"It looks to me like you're going to end up coming after my swords. You can try, but they won't leave my hands, no matter what happens", Zoro says with a smile, while exerting pressure on her with his Conqueror's Haki.
"Well, I'll see you around", Zoro says before sheathing his sword and starting to walk away.
“Why didn’t you hurt me?”, Tashigi asks angrily, looking directly into Zoro’s eyes.
Zoro then stops in his tracks and turns his gaze back to her, only to hear the following question from Tashigi, with a countenance full of anger "Is it just because I'm a woman?"
"This is so humiliating, not being taken seriously just because I'm a woman and physically weaker than a man. You’ll never understand what it's like to wish every day that you were born a man. I didn’t choose to use swords because I like to py with them", Tashigi compined angrily, while Zoro grew more and more furious with every word that came out of her mouth.
“Ughhh, I hate the fact that you exist!”, Zoro screams angrily with a vein popping out of his forehead.
“What?”, Tashigi excims, surprised by Zoro’s outburst.
"Shit, you're exactly like a friend of mine who died when I was a kid, the same face, you say the same things she used to say, you're even clumsy like her. Stop imitating her, you poorly made copy", Zoro shouted, frustrated with how much this girl resembled Kuina.
“Rude! Stop being immature! I speak like this because I’m like this. How can you know if it wasn’t her who was imitating me?”, Tashigi yells, completely offended by what Zoro just said.
"What the hell did you just say? And you still have the nerve to call me immature? You wanna know the truth? I didn't take you seriously because you're weak, not because you're a woman. Stop whining and start training, damn it. If you want to get anywhere, you have to train a hundred times harder than any man, infinitely more if you want to fight me. Even then, you'll never catch up to me because my goal is the top, and I don't intend to stop and wait for you", Zoro yelled in her face, throwing truth after truth at her before turning and disappearing with Soru to catch up with Luffy and the others. Meanwhile, Tashigi just stood there, stunned by what Zoro had just said.
=Scene Break=
While Zoro dealt with the situation with Tashigi, Luffy, Sanji, and Chouchou were already nearing the port.
"How dare that animal attack a dy like that", Sanji comments, grumbling with anger as a vein bulges from his forehead.
“Wooff!”, Chouchou barks, rolling his eyes.
“Chouchou just called you a simp”, Luffy says with his hand over his mouth, holding back a ugh.
"Go shit, Chouchou, you mangy dog!", Sanji shouts, a vein popping from his forehead.
At that moment, Luffy notices Smoker standing in the middle of the street ahead, waiting for them.
"Look at that, Sanji, it looks like you have some real competition now, we found someone who smokes more than you", Luffy says, pointing at Smoker smoking his two cigars.
“Man, let’s just leave already”, Sanji says with a tired sigh.
“Your journey ends here, Straw Hat”, Smoker says, releasing smoke from his mouth after taking a drag from his cigars.
“Sorry, rotten lung, but there’s a storm coming and we’re in a hurry, so we don’t exactly have time to talk”, Luffy says before running again to get past Smoker and get to the port.
"My name is Smoker, I'm a Marine Captain, and you're not getting away from me", Smoker excims before shooting forward using Soru, attempting to grab Luffy with his right arm, now transformed into bck smoke and coated with Armament Haki.
Luffy quickly dodges the attack, passing under the smoke and appearing right behind Smoker after using his Soru too.
"Too slow, Chimney. Seriously though, your name is Smoker, you ate the smoke fruit, and you smoke two cigars at once? You really took the whole theme thing to a new level", Luffy jokes with a pyful smile before sending Smoker flying several blocks away with an Armament Haki-coated punch, which the Marine couldn't dodge in time.
At that moment, Zoro arrives, catching up after using Soru, and seeing that they’ve stopped, he asks, “Why did you stop? What happened?”
“A guy called Smokey, who smokes more than Sanji, tried to stop us, but I already threw him far away. Let’s go, before he comes back to bother us again”, Luffy says before starting to run toward the port again.
