Crunch, crunch, crunch…
The gut wrenching sound.
The man was devouring my parents, right before my eyes.
I stared as he fitted my father’s brain into his mouth, and began to slowly chew through the gelatinous tissue.

He stared at me as I did so, blood dripping from his hands and mouth, his eyes as dead as a blind fish.
“I missed you.” He said in a deep and guttural voice.
“I missed you very much, my dessert.”

I cried, the tears tearing from my eyes and flying down my face. How was this happening, how?
He slowly stood up and walked towards me. I shivered and tried to run away, but my legs were stuck, I could not move.
I opened my mouth and let out a piercing scream just as he reached me, his hand covering my eyes-
I awoke from the dream.
The misty summer breeze flitted beyond my window, gently shifting with a white noise that eased my mind.
“How poetic.” I said, “It was only a dream.”
I climbed out of the small bed that had belonged to the child of this household. He was now dissolving in my stomach.
I looked out the window once more.
The world was so utterly beautiful. I was sure glad that I had taken a vacation within this rich family’s villa in the suburbs and not in some random high class sky-scraper in a city.
I then turned my gaze towards the corpse of the headless father of the family that had formerly inhabited this place before my arrival, hanging by his collar on the hanger by the door.
I smiled.
“What an ironic dream. Makes you wonder, huh?”
