Prologue- Crimson Flame

“Humanity will never understand the true meaning of love or compassion. Since the first time the sun rose and dawned the miracle of light all they knew was selfishness and cruelty to others and themselves. I never thought in all my lifetime I would even consider saving them. After what they did to me I wanted to see all of them perish in my hell fire, but because of you, that changed. Joshua.”

“Can you believe it? After all these years we did it, we made the perfect syer. Can you believe out of all those half breeds, She might be our success.”

“It hurts, I can't feel anything. Am I dead?”

A woman was ying on the cold white tile flooring of what seemed to be a testing facility. She had long crimson hair and ember coloured slit eyes. This pce was nothing but her shackling prison.

One of the two people in b coats was watching her through a one-way gss unaware that she can actually see, and hear them. she stared at them teary-eyed with resentment.

“I'm human Just like you so why? Why must I suffer?”

The scientist on the left started writing down the report verbally given them by their partner.

“Subject number is 1746, elemental power is still Fire, and can st up to three weeks without nourishment or sleep. After the three week period she has colpsed and nothing is getting her attention, not even electric shocks from the floor, which seemed to do the most damage to her prior.”

The woman lost consciousness, closing her eyes, unable to concentrate on anything any longer. As the scientists were writing down their progress report a rge man walked into the room with a cigarette in his mouth, and two security guards followed behind him. He wore gold rings on each finger and had a cold stare, just his very presence made the air grow still. “So this is why I had to give my money to the Capital for? Did I pay for this boratory to be built in a secluded forest as well? Now tell me Minel if this fails what happens to her, and most of all my money?”. The Man spoke with annoyance walking. toward the scientist he called Minel.

Minel only stared at him as he approached the gss. “I spent over ten million Qorin on this, woman ?”

Finally getting the courage to speak, Minel responded, “She out of 1745 subjects has survived all our test. She can Kill an orc with her bare hands if she wants to, and has. She's a super soldier, most weapons won't even scratch her. Now if she fails yet survives I will either take her back to the b for tests and enhancements, or you can make her be your next top warrior in the arena.”

The man smiled “ I hope she fails all the Qorin she could make me would be amazing. Capital bastards saying that I have sinned against our w, so you made people kill each other and sold substances for thirty-years. Who hasn't?”

“You also had property theft under the Capitals control Beto.” Minel shot back, “and she will succeed; she has to out of all those children she survived for twelve years under treatment. In two weeks she will fight a hydra as the final test.”

“If she survives?” Beto chuckled before leaving the room with Minel and his assistant following behind.

They never bothered to turn off the lights or give her a proper bedding, the only noise that was prominent was the vents bsting ice cold air so the room wouldn't heat up, and her heavy breathing.

She was dreaming of a world where nothing remained but ashes smiling at the outcome. The room got colder now in the negatives. Jolting awake she was freezing, in response she used her fmes to give her warmth. She got lucky since they only chained her ankles today, then she noticed something off.

“Something changed with my fme, it's purple. And the air it’s a lot more humid, like it lost its effect I wonder?”

The woman firmly grasped the chains and they started to melt away in her palms turning into nothing but a goo. For the first time ever she can walk around freely. Looking towards the gss she felt the same anger as before, and was unknowingly emitting fmes all over the room, it started to melt off her clothes, and the steel on the walls. The fmes were escaping outside of her confinement as the gss was starting to melt. The whole lower floor was starting to ignite, the embers were flying, scattering to pces not touched by her fmes. The gss finally melted allowing her to escape, and start her escape.

Meanwhile In a more pristine room Minel, and Beto were talking about the Syers.

“They are dangerous. Who says they won't backfire against you ter? Look here alright I am an arena owner I make people kill each other for profit but you've been torturing the same person for years. Who says she just wont turn around and kill you first instead of a dragon? I won't lie, I would not trust my profit maker if I'm using their suffering for my success” Beto put out his cigar on the oak wood table, and got up from his chair. Then turned to his grunt and said. “I think it's getting hot in here. Maybe the dragon is awake?”. Leaving through the hallway doors.

Arms started to go off within the facility, and red lights flickered. Minel walked down the hallway toward the elevator that descended to the final floor, only to meet with open fme spewing out of the doors. Minel’s assistant opened up their tablet to look at the facilities status. All three of the bottom floors were engulfed now coming to the main floors.

“Sir, we have to evacuate all the other test subjects and workers! The whole pce is going to melt if we don't leave right now!”

Minel stood there with a grin of fear finally snapping as the well known scientist was finally having a breakdown. He grabbed a gun that was mounted onto the wall and walked towards the stairwell, entering the monster's ir. The farther he walked down the hotter it got the walls started to sweat. He made it to the fourth-floor that was already half engulfed, the white walls were stained bck from the smoke.

The farther he walked down he noticed a lot of the doors that some test subjects were in had opened up, as if she was freeing them from the rampage, Minel eventually hit a blockade of fallen rubble. However, he noticed something. A bunch of mice running down the opposite direction to the other stairwell. Minel followed and saw more than mice; cats, dogs, pigs, even some humans. Some humans were test subjects but he realised one of them was a co-worker,

“Dale! Where is she?”. Minel Ran towards him only to see half of his face was burnt off leaving only the bone and tissue exposed.

Dale wheezed and looked like he was about to cry begging Minel with his eyes for help. Then they heard a loud thud and a colpse. Minel looked at the behind him watching the blockade crumble with a figure standing in the middle of the fire staring directly back, her slit eyes sharpened. Minel lined his rifle at her only for Dave to step up grabbing it pushing Minel toward the Stairs like he was saying, “I will hold them off, run.”

Dale Limped towards her as more test subjects ran out of the fme unharmed, ignoring them she lunged towards him. She immediately grabbed his head squeezing it like a balloon, Minel watched in fear only to start running up the stairs tripping over others. The st thing he heard from Dale was the Crushing of his own skull.

The fire roared now spewing up to each floor chasing everyone until the main floor. Minel Escaped meeting his assistant at the front door and then ran to the outskirts of the premises. They watched countless people, and animals run out some of them screaming “Freedom, and fuck the Capital!”

As the roof Caved in the Military finally arrived, capturing escaping stragglers. Minel watched his boratory crumble waiting for her to crawl out of the debris, raising his gun pointing it toward where the main entrance used to be. He watched the Rubble part with the st few test subjects escaping and Subject 1745 following behind. She didn't run, she just stood there staring at the night sky being distracted by the stars. Then a voice pierced the silence and fear, the military captain stood in front of a wave of soldiers.

“SUBJECT 1745 PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR, AND KNEES ON THE GROUND OR WE WILL SHOOT.”

Not following the captain's orders she just whispered, “I will ignite the night.”

The military prepared their line of fire surrounding her in a circle, not realizing they were the ones trapped. The sergeant began a countdown.

“FIVE”. a bunch of mice ran out of the rubble with twigs and other fmmable objects.

“FOUR”, they were all pced at the soldiers feet.

“THREE”, the mice made a fuse out of twigs connecting from the soldiers feet to Subject 1745.

“TWO”, Subject 1746 got on kneeled down and put her hand on the makeshift fuse.

She then whispered along with the Captain, “ONE”, and in that instant her hand lit the fuse allowing her fmes to reach her targets. The soldiers soon caught a bze dropping their weapons. Screams echoed across the forest, some tried to put it out using the rolling on the floor method but nothing worked. The smell of burning flesh surrounded them. Subject 1745 stood back up and stared directly at Minel who still had his gun pointed at her. Her eyes sharpened, and she took a step forward only for Minel to take a panic shot.

It was like time went still as Minel watched the bullet fly towards her yet there was no impact, it was as if it disintegrated once it got close to her. He fired again, and again, until there was nothing left, all of them melted as she continued to walk forwards. She was only a few steps in front of him until his assistant ran in between them, stretching her arms out as if it was a barricade. Subject 1745 gave her a cold gre standing dead in her tracks. For a second the only thing that could be heard was the crackling of the fire around them, then crushing bone, she kicked the assistant out of her way making her tumble near the edge of the fmes. The only two left in the center were Minel, and her. Minel started walking backward until he tripped watching her loom over him. She grabbed onto his shirt and picked him up, pulled him close, then stared at him.

“I am not a Subject, I am Crimson the very fme that will burn you all down.”, With that sentence she dropped him and walked out of the fming circle, released now into the world with a singur goal. To make the world feel her anger. Minel could do nothing but stare at the same very stars she did, but instead of a white twinkle in the sky all he saw was crimson.

Crimson Ran through the forest where the fmes she left behind illuminated a path towards her freedom. The forest was pretty dense and she had no way of figuring out which way was correct. She tumbled over rocks and logs, this being her first time running in years she was surprised at her stamina.

She felt like she was deep enough to start walking; she couldn't see the light of the boratory anymore. The sound of crickets chirping was like a lulby singing her into a daze. She eventually stumbled upon a field of dandelions that have probably never been touched by humanity before. Crimson colpsed upon the bed nature provided and fell asleep, underneath the milky way's gaze.
