Weeks before Asn met with Alicia and the others of his new group, Asn was with Aria and Aimee in the Shadow Realm
Anvi wasn't interested in what he was about to do, and Roselyn was very new into Asn's secrets, especially about his necromancy and thus wasn't invited
Today, Asn was going to resurrect the skeleton of the Saintess Gloria, and both Aria and Aimee wanted to see it happening
"Are you ready?" Aria asked, looking at Asn, who was examining the skeleton on the floor. She and Aimee wasn't sure that it really was the skeleton of Gloria, and was half suspecting that Asn was cheated in Evermore and had bought a random skeleton
After all, Gloria was buried by King Galdrick himself, as he was in love with her when she committed suicide.
Aimee shuddered when Asn chanted and the strange mana emanating from him flowed over the Skeleton. Aimee was a Vi and was naturally adept at absorbing and transferring lifeforce, so this was simir
In fact, Asn watched the body regrow back muscles, sinew and organs, and looked at Aimee, as if feeling that the mana flow in her body seemed to be simir!
The process itself was not very long, as the body started growing skin already, covering the body's organs, although it took quite alot of mana from Asn.
Asn never normally had to use so much mana, as his shadow and fme abilities were his natural racial magics that didn't require mana use. And he was already proficient in many different magics and they also never used so much from him.
But although the resurrection spell was simple, and the casting of it was easy, it did require a rge amount of mana to reconstruct somebody and give him/her life!
A beautiful blonde female y where the skeleton was before, and Aria and Aimee were amazed, not only at the magic, but also that it really was the body of the famous Saintess! Even her hair had grown back to the length it was when she died, following the same haircut and style!
She opened her eyes, but didn't get up, looking at Asn, Aria and Aimee on one side, and at Maya and Mya who stood silently nearby
"Where... where am I?" she asked
"Do you know who you are? Do you remember anything?" Asn asked
"Er.. yes. I am.. I was Gloria. I was the Saintess of Almera and Companion of the Hero. I... killed myself when I lost my connection with the Goddess and lost my powers when Balthazar raped me" she said, as if it was somehow unreted to her
Like with Maya and Mya, she had retained all her memories and personality, but her past seemed like that of someone else, and it wasn't personal to her. And also, she was obedient to the person who cast the spell. Perhaps this was a safeguard by Balthazar who had crafted the spell!
Asn helped her off the ground and she immediately hugged him, even though she was naked. Aria and Aimee baulked while Maya and Mya smiled. They had gained another sister
A few nights had passed, but Asn had resisted the urge to sleep with Gloria. After all, this was the reason she had lost her powers. And if he did sleep with her, he would have resurrected a normal human without powers or abilities, albeit a beautiful one!

It he hadn't betrayed the Companions, he might have been the principal of the Magic Academy instead of Dumbledalf!
With a deep breath, he started the spell as the flesh formed on his head and the eyeballs grew back inside his skull, but then just as suddenly, the muscles in his neck grew and muscles formed below the head without any skeleton to support it
The eyes looked at Asn and screamed as the skin regrew back, but at the same time, his flesh was fying all over
Asn was struggling, as the spell wasn't complete but it still drained him and was continuing to draw power from him to complete the resurrection
"I''ll help, Asn" Gloria said, already on a first name basis with him
She used her Saintess powers and used it on the Skull, joining Asn in resurrecting him
Unknown to Asn, when Balthazar's body was brought back to Almera, there was a curse pced on his skull too, as Merlindar the Royal Magician of Elfheim and the other magicians including Dumbledalf had feared he might come back after being resurrected and cast a curse preventing such resurrections
"No! You have to do it this way!" Balthazar said mentally to Asn
Asn felt a whole different set of knowledge entering his own mind. It was simir to the spell he was using, but different. But he was smart enough to understand it, and having changed and creating his own spells, he knew there was a trap built into the spell!
Instead he reversed it, and cast it on the skull!
"No!" the skull yelled as all the skin and organs fyed off, leaving a floating skull in the air!
Asn had correctly guessed that Balthazar had set a trap for him, and would have ensved him and resurrected himself at Asn's expense
Instead, Asn cast the spell, creating a lich out of the skull, retaining all it's memories, but casting an obedience spell on it, ensving the Skull of Balthazar!
He had been studying the spell cast on Maya, Mya and Gloria and had understood which parts of the spell was ensving even powerful beings like Maya and Mya, and was able to synthesize it and improve on it, using it on Balthazar's skull instead
Asn stood there staring at the levitating skull as they communicated mentally, Asn learning wonders he had never even dreamed off before

Back to current day, Titan, whose back was broken by the cyclops, and Bolo who was struck by lightning and burned badly, was fully recovered and were sitting up while the beautiful summon of Asn was healing the others from their minor injuries and bruises
"Your summon, huh? I think many of the guys are in love with her" Alicia said to Asn as he produced a rge battle axe and gave it to Asterion. Again, this axe was from one of the dragon hoards he had gained that was kept in the Shadow Realm
Asterion thanked Asn as his axe original axe was destroyed, but he realized that the axe Asn gave him were of better quality than his own. Even Bolo found that while his other scimitar had melted to sg, the other scimitar that Asn gave him to repce his earlier one was completely fine even after being struck by lightning!
Meanwhile, while Gloria was healing everyone, Maya and Mya were moving around at great speeds reaping mana cores from the many dead giants. The rest of the group were too tired or injured to do so, but Asn was not one to forget
When they were done, Gloria faded with Maya and Mya into the shadows, and Alicia realized that Asn didn't want to talk about his summons
Perhaps they were his secret weapon? He seemed to have so many secrets, such as his strange powers and the fact that he has so many weapons that he gave out that were superior to what her team members already had
Asn was a mage, and nobody really knew what mages were capable of. Even among mages, Asn had so many different abilities, and the only defining thing about magic, is that it could do what is beyond the normal.
She was just grateful that he was on their side, she then wondered about all the other rumors that she had heard in the academy about him
"So are we ready to continue to Stronghold?" Asn asked, holding the reins of her horse as he had already gotten on his own mount
Fortunately, while the many horses had run off, they were just contained within the area and Asn had regathered them back together
Alicia nodded and got onto her mount as the others did as well, and they rode off like the battle with the giants had never happened
