What should I do now?” My voice was barely a whisper.
“You’re a god now, aren’t you? Then start creating.”
“I mean yeah! I can just start creating right away, right?!” I said sarcastically. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed. “I have obviously never done something like this. How about lil help here?”
“I still don’t know everything about this system and its rules.” I looked at the miniature sun. “Also tell me how this new power—being a god works.” I hope that I can create such a beautiful thing like this again.
“I apologize,” even though her voice is robotic, she sounded really apologetic. I felt guilty.
Then she discussed everything I needed to know.
It seems that every rule of the void came from the system. The system is the one who sets the rules and who oversees the void and infinite universe within it.
The system has the following rules;
1. The void energy is the main source of power in the void.
2. The void energy can only be harvested through souls.
3. Each god will be given their own bubbles or universe they can rule over.
4. Each god and their creations is confined within their own universe.
5. Gods cannot create souls.
“Hmm, What?” The final rule left me confused. “If I can’t create souls, then, how will I gather energy?
“You can only obtain souls by giving void energy to the system in exchange”
“Is that all? Then it seems I know everything I need.”
“Now what to do? This is much harder than I thought.” I racked my brain frantically to think of an idea where to begin. My brows wrinkled.
I took a glance at the miniature sun. Then a thought suddenly occurred to me.
“That’s right!”
“The sun!” The inhabitants of my world will need enough heat and light. With this size, I bet it wouldn’t even be able to give warmth to an ant. And so, I enlarged its size.

It flickered before exploding into a gigantic size with its horizon that can’t be reached by eyes anymore. I felt an electrifying shock that sent quiver all over my non-existent body indicating the decrease in my energy.
“Next, is the world!”
I want its size to be larger than earth so my inhabitants have more space. While keeping the gravity the same.
I shall place it in the right position. Not close enough that it will be scorching hot, nor too far that it will be too cold. Perfect!
A jolt of happiness rose within me as the universe started to take shape showing some similarities with my old world.
Next, I created the atmosphere. The oxygen and nitrogen as its main component and a little bit of other elements.
The earth split open, the lava flowing.
The continents moved, giving rise to mountains and volcanoes.
And…it rains.
As the torrents of water droplets fell, did my joy start to decline.
This sudden surge of sadness came along with my old memories. I missed how the rain felt—how the world felt.
I remembered how I would make myself some hot chocolate drink and warm myself with a blanket while watching movies in my room when it rains.
Even though I was alone, I felt comfortable and happy.
Ah, how I miss those old days. I felt this thorn of pain that kept piercing in my heart.
Is this truly right? Do I really need to play god? I just want to go back home.
I'm at my limit.
“W-what? What’s happening?!
Suddenly, I found myself sinking within the soil.
“Arghh!! Help! Nova, where are you?! The pressure from the soil is crushing me, causing pain.
“I am here”
“Help me!” I tried crawling but the soil won’t let me. The more I move, the faster it swallows me.
“Only you can free yourself. Just focus and will for it.”
I tried doing what she said. I focused all my attention and energy into freeing myself despite the pain and—it worked. I finally got myself out.
Crawling in the soil like it was my first time, I felt relieved. I laid down on the earth and tried to catch my breath.
The feeling of wind and warmth from the rays of sun feels nostalgic. I felt connected to the earth when the smell of rain entered through my nose. The earth felt hot with the recent release of lava from the ground.
Huh? I have a body.
“I have a body! I can’t believe it!” Although finally having a body is amusing, I still have to inquire about what happened.
"What the hell was that? It nearly killed me!"
“It seems you’re not yet used with your power. It happened because that’s what you felt. You felt suffocated, right? So your subconscious created an event to justify your feelings.” Those words left me wondering.
“That’s the same reason I was born. You needed me so I was created.”
So that’s what happened?
“Nova, I have a question for you.”
“What is it?”
“Uhm, where do you even get your memories and knowledge?” Looking skeptical. If my subsconcious can create anything, what’s to say she’s not weird. Cuz I'm weird.
“Well, my knowledge was mostly from you. The system gives me access to your memories when you are asleep so I can better assist you.”
Hm, The system is very powerful. Is it even alive?
“With what happened earlier…that was pain?” and it was agonizing.
“Does that mean I am capable of death?” The shadow of death loomed over me. It made me shiver.
“No, that is only applicable to your physical body. Even if you die, you will just go back to your true form.” Still a robotic voice.
“True form? What did I even look like?” I hope my true form don’t look scary.
“Your true form is made of pure void energy.
Ooh. Now I wanna see myself. But that will be for next time. I just want to enjoy my body first. And so, I bathe under the sun. Enjoying its rays of sunshine.
I don’t know how long it has been. But, the skies have become calmer. And the lands have become filled with water and have now formed into an ocean.
“I just noticed. The sky looks so dull. There is no moon yet. Nor stars I can wish to.” It’s just the void and the sun.
“This world has a moon.” I declared. And so there was. A huge white ball sitting in the dark.
The moon, a colossal orb of incandescent light, stole my breath. Its sheer luminosity was hypnotic, a mesmerizing spectacle that held me captive. I felt…content.
Then I felt the earth world slow down.
A tremor ran through the ground once again, shaking me to my core. Then, the ocean roared. Mountains of water rose from the depths, their crests frothing with white fury, crashing down with terrifying power. The waves, each a monstrous claw, clawed at the land, threatening to swallow me whole.
I ran to the highest point near me, but to no avail. The water is now on my chest and continuous to rise. Ugh, am I going to die? Even though I’ll just revert back to my true form, I still don’t want to feel pain!
I must do something!
Uh, fly?
“Fly! Fly! Fly!”
My feet left the earth, replaced by a strange lightness. I rose, slowly at first, then faster, the wind a powerful current lifting me above the raging ocean. Below, the waves crashed, a terrifying spectacle dwarfed only by the dizzying wonder of flight. I gasped, breathless, as the
wind tugged at my clothes, a thrilling, terrifying dance against the vast expanse of sky. This was flying. Pure, unadulterated flight.
