The wicked man was struck by lightning

Chapter 107: The Villain is Struck by Lightning

It was half way through the night, with strong winds and heavy rains, thunder rolling in.

The sky was like a black pot, with dark clouds rolling. The fiery lightning was like a mad snake dancing wildly, zigzagging through the layers of cloud in the sky. The rumbling thunder exploded from time to time above our heads.

Yun Jingchu smiled and looked out of the window, muttering to himself: "Now, it's time."

"Jing Chu, are you in there?"

"I'm going." Yun Jingchu responded with a sentence, lowering his head to look at Wu Shang in the basket, "Wu Shang, I'll take you to watch the play and see how the person who hurt you dies."

Covered the basket with oilcloth tightly, Yun Jingchu got up and put on his raincoat, holding the basket in his arms before slowly pushing the door to go out.

As soon as I went out, I saw Yun Jingxi wearing a raincoat and holding a huge oil-paper umbrella waiting at the door.

"Jing Chu, with such a big rain, are you really going?" Yun Jing Xi looked at Yun Jing Chu with some hesitation.

"Go, why not go? I must see with my own eyes those people paying the price for what they've done. Otherwise, it's hard to dispel the hatred in my heart." Yun Jing Chu's eyes shone with icy coldness as he said coldly, "And Wu Shang is no exception."

"Alright then." Yun Jingxi sighed and held the umbrella over Yun Jingshu's head, "I'll see you off."

"Move forward a bit, don't let the rain get you wet." Yun Jing took his first step out of the porch.

"Don't worry." Yun Jingxi shook his head helplessly, holding onto Yun Jinchu's arm and almost hitting him on the head with the umbrella. The two walked out of Jingxiu Garden, heading in the direction of Shangrui Garden.

Strong winds accompanied by large raindrops came from time to time, Yun Jingchu tightened her raincoat and held Wu Shang firmly in her arms, not letting him get a single drop of rain.

There was no one on the road, probably everyone had gone into their houses to avoid the rain.

Due to the wind and rain, the two people's speed slowed down a lot. Thunder was constantly exploding above their heads, and Yun Jingxi's half of his oil-paper umbrella was soaked, dripping with water.

As soon as I approached Xiangrui Garden, I found a commotion inside, with shrill cries rising and falling.

"Someone come! Come quickly! Wang's mother's house was struck by lightning."

"Queen Mother is still inside, hurry up and inform Madame."

  "Danger! Don't go past!"

"Go quickly and inform the master!"

A little servant girl rushed out of Xiangrui Garden in a hurry, running quickly with one foot deep and the other shallow, presumably to inform Yun Shangren. Due to the darkness, she didn't notice Yun Jingchu and Yun Qingxi hiding in the shadows.

A cold glint flashed in Yun Jing's eyes, which were as deep and mysterious as an ancient well, before he said lightly, "Let's go take a look."

Yun Jingxi hesitated for a moment before nodding slightly with a hint of sigh, "......Alright."

When the two went in, they found a group of people gathered somewhere, looking far away at a house with a collapsed roof and discussing it.

Suddenly, a lightning flashed again, Yun Jingchu raised his eyes, and saw that the lightning fell straight from the sky to the house in front, a burst of sparks flashed, and something seemed to be connected to the sky on the roof. With a hiss, several strings of dazzling firelight connected directly to the cloud layer above, followed by a deafening thunderclap, which exploded with a loud bang above the house.

The already collapsed roof tilted a few more degrees, followed by the thunderous crash of falling wood inside. The crowd's screams rose and fell in waves.

"Ah! Help!" Amidst the high-pitched screams, a faint and weak cry for help could be heard coming from inside the house, it was Wang's mother.

Yun Jingchu brought out a small basket from his bosom, gently lifted the oilcloth on top and softly asked Wu Shang: "Wu Shang, did you hear? Did you see?"

The old lady, leaning on her cane with one hand and holding onto Zhao's mother with the other, rushed out in her slippers, her clothes disheveled and hair messy. Seeing the collapsed house, she was stunned at first, then let out a frantic shriek: "You bunch of slaves, what are you standing there for?! Why aren't you going in to rescue people?! Go! Go find someone! If anything happens to Wang's mother, I'll have all of you buried with her!"
